managing preferences

Just read about locating members in my area. Need to insert my zip code. When I click on 'managing preferences' my home page comes up. Can you help?

You should be in the right area. There is a list going down on the left hand side of your page that says "your location". That is where you can add your zip. Hope this helps.

Hi Petralittledog-Hmm, Well lets start over! This is how you get there. Click on "My Info". Under "Your Actions" click on "Manage Your Preferences". You should then be on the "main" page where you originally placed your name and e-mail. On the left hand side there should be a list of different changes you can make including "Your Location". If this does not get you there then something is strange! Merigold

Merigold Following you directions exactly, I am going back my home page of the forums and threads I am watching. Looks as if something is wrong. Thanks tho, appreciate the help.

petra, it sounds as though you tried to view that page when you weren't logged in - in which case the system wouldn't have recognized you and would show you just the "public view" of your information. Your browser cached (stored) that view and isn't turning loose of it now.

If you're familiar with clearing your cache and/or forcing the page to refresh, try that. If not, I can give you some tips and pointers.

Or if you can change browsers temporarily, you will most likely overcome the problem that way.
