Is the botanary still being updated? I know it's a low priority, but I just wanted to make sure that it's still an active part of the website before I add more new entries. I've added twenty or so in the last couple of months, but they are still pending.

For those that are unfamiliar with the Botanary, it is the part of DG that gives the pronunciations and derivations of plants' scientific names, accessible through the Plant Files. For people who are starting to learn scientific names, or are interested in doing so, knowing the derivation of scientific names is handy for a lot of reasons. Often the names indicate morphological characteristics that might otherwise go unnoticed, or give an interesting history lesson. Also, one might be surprised at how easy it becomes to remember these names just by becoming familiar with a handful of Latin and Greek roots. I think it's one of the more underrated aspects of DG.

It is still updated as far as I know though entries may take some time to show up.

Greg, that is entirely my oversight - I haven't added anything recently (I've been known to take a summer break from Botanary ;o) Anyway, I hadn't looked at the queue in a long while.

I'm about to shut things down for the night right now, but I will make a mental note to peek in the queue and release your submissions over the next several days. Thanks for the nudge!
