Lorry gave me a couple little Pups and Eunice sent me a real nice size colorful Pup it's even having a baby now !
I tried to order one from Glass Works and some other plants a few days ago and they said it was too hot to ship ?? Weird ?
So I went searching in DG's Garden Watch and fount the Best kept secret not one feedback ~ But I wanted to try as they have the prettiest plants and pictures for all of them...Too Good to be True ~
I only ordered two 4 inch Neoregelia and one in a 6 inch pot .
I am learning a lot about Bromeliad 's and there are many family types and Neoregelia are the most colorful ones. The type I like !
Last yesterday afternoon I placed my order . ~
Today around 4 PM I recieved three of the most beautiful Neoregelia !
Their names are Neoregelia Tricolor Perfecta she is in a 6 inch pot 12x12
Neoregelia Rossi Fireball ~ she is in a 4 inch pot 6x6
Neoregelia Fireball ~ also in a 4 inch pot 6x6
I must warn you I took a lot of pictures !

Janis
Thanks Janis ~
We have one kind in our gardens for the past 4 years. Then when Lorry and Eunice sent me more and I've seen others posting. And I learned more about them. I love the colors too !
I Love Av's Best but these sure are going to be a fun extra addiction.
Lorry you could go here and even buy wholesale . It's in Miami
The colors are SO vivid! You got some beauties Allison!
Janis
Thanks Janis ! You go to the web sight . I let myself try three to see what I got how long it took...
There are so many more I want.
Oh you will LOVE them Allison..Though I think the fireball might be labeled wrong...fireball is the variegated one that is pink and green in shade and red in bright light.
I have mine growing outside..no special treatment and they are doing fine!
Many people grown them in tree crevices or even staple them to trees...or on rocks :)
I also have one that is green with black polka dots! I LOVE the green and white one and dont' have that one yet!

It's not a Cryptanthus but a Neoregelia
Lorry my Rossi is really all green and pink ..as I wrote above the light kept shining on it. But it has NO white it it. Beleive me my pictures do them no justice.
Allison, they are so beautiful!
Thanks Anna ! I wanted to try this company out ! I am so pleased. Thought I fount them in DG Garden Watch but did not ~ So I asked to have them added !
I will be wanting more.
Those are so pretty, Allison! I've never even heard of a Neoregelia. Beautiful, vivid colors! Congratulations!
I saw Neoregelia in DG plantfiles. Then I went searching and fount they are the most colorful of Bromelaids ! These live in soil like AV soil. It says to water them twice a week in center cup drench . General rule of thumb let water in cup dry between watering.s Some need full sun some part shade. Plants need to be placed in adequate conditions to maintain quality of color and shape. Light is the key for all Bromelaids. A Bromalaid that is placed away from sunlight will eventually turn all green.
The colors in these plant are much darker, vivid than I could capture. But to avoid hot sun between 11 and 2pm ectpt ones that are full sun lovers.
I've got a couple of different Cryptanthus. I really like them. I think one is the regular Earth Star and the other I can't pull the name out of my brain right now, but it a dark green with zig-zaggy gray stripes on the older leaves and the newer leaves are reddish with gray stripes. It has a little pup beside it, too! So cute! I am really enjoying them. I know you'll enjoy your Neoregelias, too. They're so pretty!
I have two Cryptanthus small pups Lorry sent me and Eunice sent me a nice size plant too !
But when I fount these. Their foliage is also smooth.
Go to the Web sight and take a peek !
Amy I just ordered them yesterday and got them today :))
I wonder if Lorry is still on the web sight ! I want more.
I did go and take a peek. They've got some gorgeous plants there! Unbelievable shipping time, too! What fabulous service! I hope you'll note your experience with them in the Watchdog when they get the company added.
Oh yes I sure will ! Price good to ! My Rossi and Fireball were only $4.95 each.. in 4 inch pots with real nice light soil-less mix. Neoregelia Tricolor Perfecta in 6 inch pot
Shipping was only $ 11.00 for three large potted plants I had no idea until last night I got the tracking email from Fed-Ex I was WOW !
I love Fed-Ex. They have the best, most reliable delivery service of all, in my opinion. I am willing to pay extra for Fed-Ex if it is an option.
Good price on those, and anything that arrives not planted in that muck that all my storebought AVs are in is a super bonus!
Oh yes they are Perfect !
Yes when I ordered from Optimara Annabelle my plant shipped $7.95 Fed-Ex too. But took about 3-4 days.
For large potted plants I thought shipping cpst was great. It goes by your zip-code.
There are so many pretty colorful ones I'd like to do some land scaping with some of the larger ones !
Hi Allison,
I love those colors! TFS!
Joanne
Thanks Joanne ! I just love color too !

Hi Pam nice to see you !
They are the prettiest colorful cheery plants ! Look great on our deck and I know they will look good in lanscaping and grown inside too ! I know I am going to need more.
They also have this reallt cool piece I have my eyes on needing !
It's a driftwood garden. Handmade cedar driftwood arrangement mounted on ceramic vase. Includes two neoregelias and four tillandsias. Approx. 28" tall
It's on my wish list . I know I would enjoy it !
Yup none of the fireballs are cryptanthus :)
They are simply stunning..and yes the prices are GREAT :) that is what I have paid for them from the bromeliad society :)
I actually adore the ones that run :) you can do such COOL things with them :)
I love pretty colors, nice size healthy plants, great prices, good packaging, and the fastest shipping ! I'm a happy shopper.
Lorry did you join the bromeliad society ! I may have to do this also !
Nope I have not joined..but they usually have a booth up at the garden sales we go to...so I see them now and again :)
that is where I got the fireball I sent you (which is a trailing bromeliad).
They dont' need to be grown in the ground though :) they do quite nicely on rocks...or I know someone who has them in the crevice of a tree..or people even staple them to trees :)
I have the cherry red one and the green and pink var one I sent you
I also got the green one with black spots from someone on dave's as a trade :)
I think the trailing varieties are cool :)
Oh Allison those are just beautiful, but where are you going to put these guys? LOL.
Amazing I never knew there are about 2,500 species of bromeliads
They all grow different have different needs.
The Neoregelia they grow then soil-less mix and said to water from the top once or twice a week.
Tillandsias grown different . The display I have my heart in love with on my wish list has four Tillandsias mounted on Handmade cedar driftwood arrangement
with a ceramic vase that includes two neoregelias .
Sounds pretty doesn't it !
My Neoregelia Fireball is all red ... I seen it on another web sight .She likes Full Sun . There are many Fireball's
My Neoregelia Rossi Firebal is pink and green ~ The white is a glare. She likes 30 percent shade.
There is one I like it comes with two pups attached
It's name is Zoe Fireball ! Features: 6" fireball hybrid includes at least 2 offsets with mother plant. Will tolerate full sun .
With being about 2,500 species of bromeliads
and we have three kinds growing in our yard we have had them about 5 plus years HUbby had these when I met him ! I like the colorful Neoregelia best ! I would like more for our deck/ramp and yard land/scaping !
I'm just crazy about the colors.
Cool ! I could share them with friend's !
There is also a Vriesea Gigantea on my wish list.. Don't know if I can ever have this one it cost a lot. I looked it up more and on another web sight said it was the most spectacular Bromelaid !
Oh I'd love it. A beautiful species from Brazil. Grows over 3 feet wide. Leaves are silky soft with fantastic coloring The coloring is like silvery and yellow .
I'd also like a Xerographica too !
The plant Eunice sent me has grown and has pups growing !
See you and her helped get me hooked on these !
