A Red baby............

Remember Red? I sent out lots of seeds, anyone get any blooming yet?

I sure hope she holds her color.

My husband even noticed this one....from afar! LOL

I picked a white flower to show you the darkenss of this one.

It needs longer tendrils and a bigger calyx to get on my hit parade.

But the color I like. LOL

It might not be impossible. I grow 2 seedlings of Rothkirch x Red from your seeds. They are barely a month old, but sometimes in the future, when they bloom, longer tendrils should not be a problem ... it goes with the mix.

The trouble with Red was she was so hard to root. Only 2 people got rooted plants from her. I am dying to see what this one will look like where it is humid.

Tonny, I still cannot figure out how my seeds got to a European seedbank. I hope they really are Red seeds but I really doubt it. I wish you lots of luck!! RK will give it the longer tendrils!!

Yes Judy, it is Ecuador Pink. EP seems to lend a brug a deep color, so it makes sense the 2 together would give a dark baby. But I dislike the EP shape myself, which is what this one got somewhat. I am hoping some others from this cross won't have any neck showing.

Who Me? Blushing! But it might mean a treacherous uphill hike and then dangling off a cliff, (ok I exaggerate a bit), it's a side hill but still dangerous and full of peril (you know what I mean Kell! LOL) to obtain a wee bit of pollen. Hmmm... let me think... Yup, I'd do it for a chance at the Red Beauty!!!

Here is a pic I just took of your Pure Love the other night after I talked to you. It is one of my top brugs, I love it that much. And look at the golden hilights. Touched by Gold. Now that is a great name. LOL She is a broad based brug with a full flip and tendrils that reach for the stars. I should go out and take another pic, I bet she has deeper gold hilights now.

Kell, I am amazed with the color of this seedling! You can really see the e.pink genes in that bloom. Put her pollen on Susanne, and on a yellow-orange double. Didn't Red have Ocre in her genes? Or have I been reading way to much today....

Pure Love is beautiful there, I am shocked to see the yellow undertones, I like it though. I am really tired of studying today, I really hate to wish my life away but... I wish school was over... what was I thinking???? I am too old to be back in school!!!!!

You're never too old for school, if that's what you want or need to get to your goal. I know some people in their 60's that are in college. They don't have the distractions that teenagers have and no raging hormones to distract them. LOL They're better students than the kids. Hang in there!

The only problem with that Mary, is when my hormones left so did my brain. Gone. Just gone. And so forgotten. LOL. I could no longer get thru 1st grade.
