The co-ops forum

I don't know if anyone else has a problem following it, but I am having trouble following the co-ops forum. It seems to me that it would be helpful to know when (the date) each new thread is started. I like the idea of seeing only the open threads but there are still a lot of threads on there and when a new one shows up I don't know if it is an update to an old co-op or if it is for a new one. With as fast as the new co-ops can go, counting the number of responses doesn't help much. I'm afraid I'm missing out on some good stuff....any ideas?

The easiest thing I've found to do (especially for this forum) is to put the co-op threads I'm participating in, or considering particpating in, on my "watched' threads list. Then I check the co-op forum periodically for new threads, but I can be pretty much assured I don't need to read the older ones.

That's what I am doing too, it just finding the new ones that gets me confused.....

I watch the ones I am participating in and check back to that board frequently. The host/esses do a great job of using the same title but in subsequent parts. For example, closing them when the orders are complete and then doing a part 2 for payment,. closing that when all payments are recieved then doing a part 3 for shipping info.

My best control has been spending all my money on the ones I am in so I can't look at the new ones LOL :)

Thanks for the help.

That forum does seem to have high traffic 24/7 I've noticed. Its a success for sure if you count the posts!

I'm with you green. I finally started watching the co-op threads that I'm participating in.

Other confusing things—
Tracking what I ordered from each co-op, when paid, when payment was cleared, when the plants/bulbs are being ordered, when they were received by the organizer, and when they are expected to ship.

I've taken to keeping track of all this stuff in a Word document.

Also in my Word doc, I put an image of the plant + plant info, plans for planting location, typical plant cost vs. price paid and percent savings.

It would be wonderful if there were a way to track all of that info on my DG account. Maybe in another 5 years or so, eh? ;-}

It ended up being a lot of work and still is, but I've read through every one of the threads so that I can use the yes/no update thingy to make sure I don't leave anything hanging and I make sure I look at all of the threads when they are updated.

I've also decided only to do one co-op at a time. I may miss out on some great deals but I wouldn't want to let anyone down.
