And here is Raspberry Sundae - my mothers memorial shrub - looking the way it should for the first time since I planted it 5 years ago!
What's Blooming in Canada part 3
Nice pics, Carol. Especially the Raspberry Sundae.
Lovely photos, ViolaAnn. I just finally got a Chicago Peace rose this year. Can't wait for it to bloom. Yours is beautiful. I love delphiniums. I have never seen a Delphinium Galahad before. I really like it.
Don
I have been watching and enjoying ! thanks for sharing your ideas, and ginny I love the forest face!
Although its not quite finished here is my front yard, I am going for the "low water use and still get color" look. I started about 18 months ago after our house reno. I had saved a bunch of perenials in my veggie bed and have moved some back to the front. I am looking forward to the day the perenials fill in.
The goofy spot at the bottom right is my neighbors house.
It's real ince Ann, very inviting
I agree. Very nice landscaping.
Ann (the Ottawa one)
annabell52, that's great! What is that weeping conifer in the foundation planting?
Sandy
Thanks for the kind words all. I had lots of help with digging, a friend brought in a bob cat from the farm and jagonjune helped me drive and shovel the waste to the pasture in the farm. Then the biger rocks came from another farm on Jagonjunes trailer with my hubby's partners picker truck puting them in. All the medium rocks were hand picked up and brought home , smallest ones were donated by Jagonjune when her pond was done and one load of delivered med-small. It took a long time but it's coming together now.
Sandy it's a Tolleson's blue weeping juniper, low water once established and zone 3 . It has now made it through two winters and has new growth each time. I found it at a plant center in the fall at 1/2 price and thought it was kind of weird , in a good way.
I have a "good" neighbor who says she wants to come and water it all the time because its always drooping. LOL
Ann
Lovely job, Ann! You should be proud. Ü
