Those Gaudy Pots!!

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

Let's see your gaudy pots (and stories if you've got 'em) here!

This one's from my mom-in-law. I like cats, but just the real, live, furry, purring ones. lol

I still get a laugh out of it, though. ; )

Oh goll. You tell someone you like something and they buy you everything in that theme don't they! LOL. Fortunately no one has bought me any flower pots yet!

I went to look at a house to buy where the old lady that lived there had passed away. The entire place was covered (every square inch!) with clocks. Wall clocks, grandfather clocks, cuckoo clocks, alarm clocks, you name it. All I could think, walking around in amazement, was that I bet she didn't even like clocks. Someone just thought she did and that was the end of that. lol

lol That's so funny- that's how I feel with my mom-in-law quite a bit. When Doug and I got married, he told her I loved sunflowers- now I have so many sunflower themed things, I'm starting to not like them so much! But I know she only does it out of love, so I'm not complaining.

She was over at our house the other day and I was trying to find a funny picture on my computer to show her and while I was looking for it, I came across the photo I posted above. She just got this big ol' grin- I can just see what's going through her mind...she loved it so much, she took a picture of it!! Oh, no!!! hahaha I hope she doesn't get me another one!!! ; )

10 years ago I learned my DIL loved cobalt blue. So over the years I've given that to her in various forms and shapes ...

I was afraid I was doing that, i.e., giving her stuff she'd gotten tired of. But my DS told me she still likes it, and at an estate sale recentlly, they bought a set of cobalt blue drinking glasses... So I guess I'm okay with this one, I hope so!!

It's funny to me, as much as I LOVE plants and plant things, etc., that my family doesn't ever give me anything plant related... I wish they'd take a hint!

lol Maybe you'll have to spell that one out..."Oh, what a lovely ________! Gee, I'd sure like to have that, but my birthday's coming up so I think I'll wait!"

lol

cjolene - You're right. I'm going to try that...

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Not sure if that's obvious enough. Might better go with, 'Hey, get me that for my birthday.'

lol

Yeah, they don't usually go with me when I'm 'flower' shopping. I think now whenever I see something I like, I'll just send my son an email or something... a picture, a link... That way, he'll understand the kinds of "stuff" I need :)

I have yet to meet a man who had a problem with being told exactly what to buy. lol

Yeah, Dr. Laura says men AREN'T complicated!

We wish they were intriguing and mysterious and deep and thoughtfull, but that just ain't the way it works! lol (sorry to all our guys out there!) I think it's a plus most times, I can't imagine trying to live with a woman! lol

Emporia, KS(Zone 5b)

lol Oh my goodness!! hahaha

They certainly do give off that impression at first, though, don't they, of being deep and mysterious and all.... ; )

We just have to remember that it's one sentence at a time.

They're 'processing'.......

LOL
