after the rain

Yeah so you say- I am still hopeful about the pink- as I say I have 2 or so that have not bloomed, are in pots and the one w/ blooms that I will collect seed from; of course will collect seed if the others bloom.

Well, ARE's looked like theirs was just starting to bloom--could they maybe be July or August on into fall bloomers?

Yeah they bloom until it freezes.

Patience then grasshopper...lol

I am nothing if not patient...hmm maybe that's not true, but I am patient.

Then right before it gets cold save the seed on that pink one--and lets just see what they produce--nothing ventured nothing gained. But I imagine a little 'income' could be made if a few turn out pink...help you pay for your addiction and satisfy my genetics/ and seed sowing addiction. I do genetics in class--get them to get me a plant light for class--I'll let the kids do it over the winter.....

Oh I can get seed from the plant before then, they don't seem to mind producing seed and flower as well.

The more the better the odds one will be pink--gosh a red/pink variety would be real cool, huh?

Yeah, I'd settle for pink
I have 2 plain yellow in the front, the petals have no ruffle to them and I have beat them up really bad over the years. They are just putting out a few buds.

I get so tired of working with sweet peas and broccoli-raab with them; they just can't relate to those plants. But living in Sharpstown/Mexico I know they have all seen a pride of barbados plant.

good thinking
