SpaceBabies

Thank you, Stephanie! I was thrilled to find them at Lowe's. I'm sure I've got leaves, suckers, or plantlets of EverBeautiful and EverYoung. Let me know if you'd like some and I'll mark you down for them.

Raingazer - Thank you so much for the kind offer! I would love either a plantlet or sucker of either or both plants, and will gladly pay you postage plus whatever you want for them. Send me a Dmail whenever you're ready.

You must have a much better Lowe's than any we have here in central NJ. They don't always have AVs, and if they do, they're all noids. Even though they're pretty and usually in fairly good shape, they're still noids.

Thanks again,

Stephanie

You're very welcome, Stephanie. I'm hoping to get them repotted the first of next week, so I'll see what I end up with. Dmail me your address, please and I'll let you know when I'm ready to send them. I've got another trade to get out on Monday, too. I was supposed to send it this week, as well as repot these plants, but ended up helping my husband pour a concrete parking pad and just didn't have the time or energy. There just aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done. Hopefully nothing will come up before the first of next week.

I'm new to the world of african violets and came across a space baby called EverPrecious. Have any of you heard of this one? I love the mixture of greens and purples and this is gorgeous...at least the only picture I've seen of it. I just ordered EverGrace from a local greenhouse I can't wait to pick that one up! If I can keep the EverGrace happy I may have to spring for the EverPrecious. Just wanted to see if what you all thought as you are obviously much more experienced than i :) Here is the link to it..

the fifth one down but that is way more expensive than the evergrace I found. IS this the typical price for it? Anyone know?

I enjoyed the lovely photos! The pot is so pretty.

Wow! Those are beautiful but seem a little expensive to me. Also, I have one labeled Everlove that was given to me and it looks different. I have no idea if this is a reputable dealer. I have looked all over for authentic pictures of the Everfloris and can't find them.

Garner, NC(Zone 7b)

Yeah they sounded a bit high to me. This is the closest thing I could find for "authentic" pictures. I don't know much about african violets so I'm not sure if they are reputable or not.

Thanks Jill for showing the Beautiful space babies. I have just ordered some from Bluebird Greenhouse. Too cold to ship yet, but I will be so happy when they do come

Thanks so much for the link!! My Evergrace looks authentic, and so does my Everlove! I am really surprised that more of these aren't posted in the plant files here.

I am so happy - to know that Bluebird has some of the space babies. I looked at Optimara and they wanted 10.00 a pop. No...........thank you...................

The owner told me she would be getting more varieties in the future.

Optimara developed the Everfloris series of AVs, so the photos on their site are definitely "authentic." :-)

I've seen the space violets on occasion at Home Depot -- big ones! -- not necessarily with names on the pots, but between the ruffly big green leaves, the edged blooms, and the Optimara label, I'm pretty sure that's what they are!
