Isn't that a lovely updated picture on DG site, located way ontop of the site... Im wondering who took the photo of the bird sitting on the branch of the red/orange flowers? Also the photo of the front entrance of the house picture is very nice as well....
Photo on DG
GardenGuyKin took them both :) Aren't they lovely?
Thanks again!
Dea

Thanks PaperW, Happy you are enjoying them. Here is a pic in the plantfiles that I submitted

Now you know what the flowers are. I was just fortunate enough to have my camera at the right time to catch the moment. I can't tell you how many times I said I wish I had my camera.
LOL
Well, my wish came true.....
Thanks Dea! You are so kind..... :)
I must Add that Everyone submitted Wonderful Photos!!! We not only have a Friendly and Talented group of Gardeners but Photographers as well.
(((Thanks)) Sarah for the link information :)
YW, GardenGuykin.... it's really a magical lookin photo.... I think, I may have grown that type of flower before? But, the name slips my mind... it was grown from blubs.. I'll just have to take a peek at the link you typed out... (tks)
I agree with you... when I go out to garden... I know, I should bring my camera along, but tend to forget...that's when.. I usually miss snapping a shot of the Geckos darting across the wall or on a plant ....
Thanks again for the chat and all the great information :)

crocosmia, one of my favorites!
Those were all sooo good! How often does the banner change...or not at all?
Aimee, The 'Management' is changing them Seasonally on a "Trial" basis.
It started with Winter, I think. Search the Photo forum.
The contests were fun. Members posted pics in a thread then a "Voting" thread was set up with thin slivers of each entry. (Sort of anonymous, LOL)
Paulwhwest did all the fancy stuff.

By the way. DG has an Annual Photo Contest in the Fall.
