DG Tank Tops

Brimfield, MA(Zone 5a)

Dave,

How about DG tank tops? I keep looking at getting a t-shirt, but I'm a tank shirt wearing gal all summer. Tanks for children too, so my budding gardeners can wear them. Pretty please with sugar?

Megan,

If you have a color printer you could download the DG logo from here: http://davesgarden.com/extras.php (it's under "tell the world about Dave's) and then print out an iron on to put on your tank top. You can buy iron on transfer sheets from Staples or a similar store........I have some that are made by Avery.

Glad I could help! Just remember to post a pic after you make them! ;o)

Hmmm....I just went and downloaded it and my computer says it can't open it. Did you have any luck with it? If so, what program did you use to open the file?

No, I didn't try it yet... I was going to do it in the morning. Maybe we will hear how it needs to be done.

I hope so. :o)

It's EPS format (Encapsulated PostScript) which not all image editors will open. It is a good file format for this sort of thing because the image can be enlarged with no loss of quality. There's more info here on that kind of format vs. JPG and GIF:

Quoting:
What just what software programs open what file formats? To open and edit an EPS file, you'll need a software program like Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand or Corel Draw. Some applications, including Microsoft Word, will display but not allow you to edit EPSs. Microsoft Publisher supports the viewing of some types of EPSs, but not all of them.

For more about vector graphics, this is a good link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vector_graphics

Hope that helps! It would be cool if the logo could be offered in a couple of vector file formats for ease of resizing, but also ones which more people could easily open.
