Ever since my kids were born, I've always saved Happy Meal toys,
not for collecting or value or resale, but for various reasons. First
it began as buying them for my son and myself. A kids' meal was just
fine, so we would end up with two toys.
Five years later, along came little brother. By then we had a hoard
of toys. Then we were buying three Happy Meals, one for each child
and one for myself. I've always saved most of my toys in the bags while
the boys opened and played with theirs. We have TONS of toys in
boxes in storage.
I daydream that one day I will have grandchildren, so I'll load up a
big trunk full of toys, then they can choose something when they come
to visit Grandma and Grandpa. A treasure chest of toys, whoo hoo!
I'm currently enjoying the cute little Build A Bear toys from McDonald's, though
I'm not trying to collect them. I put the little monkey in a tree in the front yard,
and a bear in a big knot hole in one of the trees. Just cute little things.
So, how many other big people out there like Happy Toys? :-)

Grown-ups who enjoy Happy Meals...
WUVI, I like the happy meals, usually stop by on grocery day, you know so I won't arrive at the grocery hungry. I bring the toys home to my Jack Russell to play with. So to summarize. I like the meals, my dog likes the toys!!
Thanks for the website, Wuvie.
When I go to McD's [or BK], I always get a Happy Meal for myself. It's just the right size. The toy is a bonus. My glove compartment in the car is packed full .... it's about time to hand the little treasures out to grandkids.
I know of 2 wealthy elderly women who have collected kids' meals toys for decades. They keep them in the original packaging, and have had special shelves made in their homes for the treasures. They consider them investment, and I have a feeling they're right.
