Plant to Journal Feature Doesn't Work

I can't seem to add a plant to my journal from PlantFiles. It goes through the motions but never shows up on my Journal. Is this feature down temporarily?

willmetge, I just tried it with my own journal and it worked. Are you sure you are following all the way through with it? At the end it will ask you if you want to go to the new entry, and there it is.

Here are the steps I followed so you can see if you are missing one of them along the way.

From the Plantfiles entry, click on “Add this plant to your journal”

Then select the journal you want to add it to, (if you have more than one journal set up)

Then select which category you want to put it into, if you have more than one category set up.

It then takes you to an outline sort of area where you again click on the category or subcategory to put the plant in.

After you click on the category where you want the plant, you will see a page that says the item has been moved to the new category.

You can then click on Go to the new category, and the plant you added from Plantfiles should be in there.

others have had this problem before, are you trying to add plants to your default journal or did you create a new journal? For some reason you can only add plants to journals that you've created, it will not work to add plants to your default journal. If you want to see the previous discussions, here is the thread in the journal forum where there was some discussion of this

It's a really long thread, easiest way to get to the right places would be to use the "find" feature in Internet Explorer (Edit menu, then choose find on this page) and search for my username because I've participated in a couple discussions of this so searching for my entries should get you in the right sections of the thread.
