More . . . you have to look closely as they are budding up but not blooming. Check against the back wall . . .
Photographs of Perennial beds with Lilies. Please.
I can vouch for planting them in rose bushes, gardenerme - just had a bad storm with up to 70mph gusts and, although the lilies are blown about a bit, I didn't lose one! Yours will be so beautiful when the blooming starts
Hi - just got back from vacation, and took a few pics today of my oriental lilies - although you can't see them well, I have mums, daylilies, petunias, and iris's all in that garden too. And next is a picture of the canna that are in a lower bed in front of the lilies - here are a couple -
Vacation was great, but nothing was as peaceful to me as my own gardens - Dax
Wandasflowers, Kaboom! What a wonderful palate of color. I need to get some tall blue campanula or platycodon (if that is what I am seeing?) Thanks Patti
Wanda, absolutely beautiful!!
The tall blue in front is a double Baloon flower. it takes a while to get established, but is worth the wait. the blue toward the center is a blue globe centurea (thistle) Wierd specimen plant & fun to grow. Some shorter lilies are in the middle of the bed with the tall ones in back.
I'll see if I can get more shots of lilies & beds this weekend.
Tagbasco, do your cosmos reseed themselves? They are very nice. :)

t, your lilies with cosmos are especially sweet! I'll be sure to remember that combo.
Ticker--
I 'wintersowed' my cosmos this past winter, so I can't say for myself butI think for others they are known to re-seed.
I found my cosmos seeds at Renee's Seeds and 'Specialty Perennials'.

Thanks, gem.
This one is cosmos 'ladybird' which I love and will definitely plant again. (Sorry no lilies in the shot but yellow ones are just out of lens range!)
Thanks Tabasco! :)

Since I tend to stuff lilies everywhere, I have noticed that they are very complimentary with the Endless Summer Hydrangea (I have made it blue by adding aluminum sulfate in my basic soil), nice contrast. I love the look. They are in partial sun , so the hydrangea does well too. Other favorites are hibiscus and delphineum. I toss them near liatris, toad liles, dayliles, Rose of Sharon, and many of the new coneflower types. I really think it goes particularly well with Echineacea Sunrise (pale yellow).
Pretty combo magnolialover! The Sunrise coneflower is particularly nice with Scheherezade.
Thanks gemini_sage, for the nice compliment. It was an accident. As I said, I pop lilies everywhere. Bulbs are so easy to seak in here and there. It makes for a beautiful blooming July & August, especially.
Gardenobsession, very lovely! :)
