Non Subscriber Question

Northern, IN

My understanding is that a non subscriber can only read the first post on each thread.

My question is can they open and view any pic in that first post?

My guess is no they can’t but I thought I’d ask..

From experience before I subscribed, pics are viewable, sort of, but you can't click on them to make them big.

Thanks. That's what I thought. They can't be opened, in other words, just viewed as thumbnails.

To clarify a little....

There are some forums that are completely invisible to non-subscribers including, this one. Only subscribers can even see that the forum exists. Other forums in this category include the Parking Lot, the Prayer forum, and Co-ops.

Most of our older "legacy" forums (those in existence before Home Talk was introduced earlier this year) are subscribers-only after the first post. Visitors and non-subscribers can see the thumbnails in the first post, but (I'm pretty sure Solitare's right on this) , they aren't clickable to enlarge them.

Forums introduced since we created "Home Talk" have been (for the most part) free to all members, whether they are subscribers or not.

If you go to Garden Talk or Home Talk summary pages, you'll see that some forums have a red asterisk (*) beside them - those are subscribers-only forums. If a forum doesn't have this notation, it's a free forum and can be fully participated in by any registered member.

Thanks, Terry.
