Heartbeat / Heart Rate watches?

Greetings, all!

For some time I have wanted, but not researched, a watch
that will display heart beats. I can't even remember where I
heard about these, but just the other day I found one online
that blinks with each heart beat. While I don't necessarily need
a blinking light, I thought it was interesting.

Do any of you in Dave's Garden Land have one, and if so,
could you please give me a little information about it?

I own a Polar Brand Heart Rate Monitor that comes with a strap that goes around my chest. A lot of athletes use them for training. I own the F6. They can be pricey, but well worth the money. What will you be doing with it?

Call me obsessed with my heart. I don't intend to use it for sports or training, but
on a day to day basis to monitor my heart rate. I'm not looking for a heavy duty
chest strap type, something more along the lines of just a wristband if such a
thing exists.

I might be just imagining a product, LOL.

I don't know where you'd get one, but saw one in use the other night.

We went and heard Merle Haggard in concert a couple weeks ago. He looked very tired and drawn on the stage and we commented on how he kept checking his watch...(odd, because we've seen him before and he puts on a great show)

Anyway, after a short show, he left the stage with no encore. I asked one of the roadies if he was going to sign autographs later. He was very kind, and said that Merle was feeling pretty lousy lately and was already in a room at the hotel. I commented that we noticed him checking his watch...and the roadie replied that it was no watch, but a heart rate monitor.
