"While you were posting, another post was made"....

If you "click here to read that post", how do you save your message?

I can't force the "new message" link to magically appear so I can test it. But here are two ways to accomplish this if clicking on the link doesn't open up a new window automatically. (I just don't remember if it does or not.)

1) Right-click with your mouse on that link, and choose "open in a new window." When you're done reading, close that window.

2) If you just click on the link you can click your browser's "back" arrow to return to your un-submitted post, which should still be there waiting for you ;o)

My post was on a button at the bottom. I don't know if that always works that way though. # 2 ...my back button is dark and inoperative after looking at that other post.

If your "back" button doesn't work, that usually means the link you followed has opened a separate window.

Sometimes I will just right click and 'copy' what I was writing so if I can't get back to it, I can just 'paste' it without having to start over. I do refresh though to make sure it did not go the first time.

I think if you preview your post it will still be there when you return. Sometimes you will have to 'refresh' and 'retry' to get back to it. At least that is how my computer works.

This just happened to me while I was posting something, and when I clicked on the link to read the new message that was posted while I was typing, it popped it up in a new window, so all I had to do was go back to the original window and my message was still there.
