Coffee and for Monday, April 17th - I hope!!
You are getting to be the pro at posting the link. Great going, and old timers has been delayed!!
Good job getting the thread up for Easter Monday. It doesn't come here for another few minutes; so I'll go back to Sunday.
Ann
lol ,Ann, you are on my time! Good night!
OOPS! No your are not you are an hour later
This message was edited Apr 17, 2006 12:43 AM
m5,
You are quite the pro at this now,,,,I like the,,,, I hope!! at the end of the subject,,,LOL
Sounds like everyone had a nice Easter. I stayed home a vegged. I finally got my butt off the couch, went down in the basement and hauled that big hose cart up the stairs and out in the yard,,,whew,,,there's my exercise for the week,,,LOL I watered everything and hope it will now perk up.
We were going to get those bushes out today but a friend stopped by and I thought a nap sounded better,,LOL It is better this way. If we would have gotten them out I would have wanted to have the landscape fabric, rocks and compost here. Couldn't have stood it with having the bushes out and not being able to do anything in that spot.
dmc,
I have Sleep Apnea and my airway closes at night,,,so I wasn't getting any Really Good sleep. A CPAP is a machine that I use at night to keep my airway open while I sleep.
Ann,
Very Cool Caddy,,,,Now I wanna see pics of the Porsche,,,,Please,,,,Pretty Please,,,LOL
Hi to everyone else. Took that nap, so wasn't tired until now. Can't keep my eyes open to coment about anything else.
Kelly
I'm up early for a "holiday" - that is, kids have no school and DH is still asleep...so it's nice and quiet, sunny and kind of cold.
I'm enjoying hearing what everyone has blooming or is planting. The broccoflower sounds yummy. Last year I put in a dozen broccoli plants and they did great. I used row cover so no wormy things and no need to dust. I even sold a few at the farmer's market. I should freeze them if I have as good luck this year.
Maria-The pork loin recipe sounds wonderful. I am not a big meat cook, and now that DD#2 is vegetarian, more often than not we do rice and beans or some variation of cheeses and veggies. I do like meat once in awhile. I know I need to add exercise. Last fall I got on a treatment regime for asthma and also got orthotics since my feet were so bad, now I'm hoping it will be easier to get and keep going! I wonder if you could borrow a kid to play with Samson? I had kids and puppies at the same time, and they could wear each other out!
Kelly-I wasn't aware how dry it is there....was it lack of snow for the winter, or is this usual? Thanks for the explanation of CPAP. I should probably get checked out at a sleep clinic too I'm pretty sure I have apnea, but hoping all the allergy stuff will help first.
Ann-The Caddy would be a great wedding car! It would not be good for those trips to the nursery where you load the car with manure though, LOL. I agree, I want to see the Porsche next! Too cute about DGD trying to reopen the crocus! I was about 42 before I realized they close up when it's cloudy or dark! Thanks too for the restaurant recommendation, we must have passed it. We ate at Jine's on Park Ave, but we went down Goodman. It's quite a nice stretch in there, galleries and restaurants. I hope DD pulls herself together and gets her grades up. Do you believe she was a National Merit Scholar and won the Humanities scholarship at Rochester, and now is barely passing? She can kiss her parental scholarship goodbye if she has another semester like that!
Elaine-Okay I'm dreaming of cookouts. Food just tasted so much better in the open air, that is if the mosquitoes aren't out. MMMMM just imagining firing up the grill.....
tgif-Great clock, I imagine someone must have been moving to a smaller place or something, not many people could find space for a clock that big! I also love the look of the logs, is your home all log? I loved hearing about your "mither" - maybe you could add some of her stories to the Apron Strings thread.
It's getting dark out now :-( . I was going to pack up a horse and try cart driving.
I wonder how Mary's trail ride went. And lauri, is Salsa headed home today?
Okay, bbl, have a great day in the meantime!!
Good Morning!! 38 deg out here and it feels like winter is visiting again - at least the sun is out today, but we have a nasty wind still from yesterday.
Last night DH called DS and told him that we had a small gift for DGS - they were gone, but called back and we went over there. I had to bite my tongue about them not showing up/nor calling and finally when my teeth became unclenched, I said something!! I tried to be tactful- and I didn't say it when DIL was around. Not sure anything snunk in, but at least it was off my chest.
DH kept telling how much fun we had and all the things we did LOL, I am sure they were ticked off at that!
Maria, that eating sounds sensible, but one of my loves in life is bread...I can never get enough of it. For a treat, I like to have a piece of bread and butter!! I don't think I could live on just one piece a day.. but I need to cut back. We don't have chips etc in the house unless we are entertaining, seldom make dessert, oh except my binges on ice cream!! If only you would cook for us, I am sure we would both (DH/I) lose weight!! Samson growls at the computer LOL that is a good one!
Darius - did you win the bus? And buy it sight unseen? That would make me nervous!!
Vi - laughed at the piggy backed cars. That is something DH would do.
tgif- that clock is some find!! You must be lucky - I've never found anything. We did put out an old vacuum and I heard squealing tires and looked out the front window and someone had slammed on the brakes and I saw them throw it into their trunk!! LOL - vacuum didn't work - Oh we did find a metal patio table in the middle of a field and a chair further on down the road. We stopped and picked it up, but I've always felt guilty that we took it. I am sure it bounced off someones truck!
I'm back to the huff/puff today, then home to do some general pick up. I planted several lupines and had great germination - they grew to about 3 inches high and are slowly dying. Oh, that is frustating...
Take care everyone and blow some warm weather up to cold Michigan!
Good morning all,
Another glorious day here.Plan to get out in the garden for sure. Have to work off yesterdays dinner since the pool is closed for the holiday today - at least no aquafit. It's also a wave pool and I bet that part is open to rake in the $ when the kids aren't in school.
Maria - I'll have to check what time this post says. I actually posted the one last night an hour after the time it says. Might have something to do with my settings as well, but I'm in the Eastern time zone with you.
dmc - I also hope your daughter gets her act together in University. Has she been able to identify a problem - too much social life or something or is it a real difficulty with some courses? If there isn't an easy to identify problem, the University might have some student resources available to help out.
To those that want a pic of the Porsche, I'll have to look. Probably find one in an album somewhere and scan it. There doesn't seem to be one in the computer.
Have a good day.
Ann
Hi Sarv,
We posted at the same time. And yes, for some reason the time for my post says an hour earlier than when I sent it. It's now about 7:40 am here.
Ann
Time check. I just changed my time zone in "managing my preferences". It was set at Eastern standard. Never occurred to me that it wouldn't change automatically like the computer does when we went to Daylight time. NOW, this post should say about 7:41.
Ann

Oh weird! It changed the time of all my other posts too!
Ann
did I make so many typos in the other posts too?
This message was edited Apr 17, 2006 9:34 AM
Good morning, all!! Much to my surprise the hyperlink still works! I'm not sure how Dave's clock works either, I thought it was on Central time, even during DST, but when I posted the link last night it was after ten and shows nine something on the post. I guess it's only critical if it's New Year's Eve and we are waiting to kiss somebody!
Tgif, what a great find! That is a huge piece of furniture though, I can see why someone would have a problem find a space for it. I'm not so lucky, but I always have my eye on the curb just in case. Once I spotted a nice wheeled office chair and told DH about it but he wouldn't go pick it up until it got dark! Most, if not all, of my first home furnishings came from the Goodwill, or SallyAnn, and I'm not adverse to checking them out even now. And I brake for estate sales!
Dmcd, good reminder for me .My orthotics are going on two years old and probably due for replacement. They really help a lot, unless I'm doing a lot of walking on concrete. Speaking of which, I made two plaques for the garden on Saturday for my Oskar and Hobbes, who we buried in the back garden. They have paw prints on them. Been waiting for warmer weather so I could set them outside.
I get hungry for salads and greens as soon as the days start getting longer, so I'm stocking up today so that the next time I pull on those old jeans I won't be winded by the time I get them up and zipped. I thought these cyber treats had no calories, but I seem to have padded my hips regardless. My big downfall isn't bread, it's pasta, and sweets. I'll just have to remember to eat fruit instead of grabbing a cookie or a biscotti in between meals.
Dcat, we can get broccoflower in the supermarkets here. Has been available for several years. It's milder than broccoli in flavor, and is rather attractive, looks like a green cauliflower!
Pork loins are one of my favorite main courses! I usually stud mine with garlic slivers, drizzle it with olive oil, fresh rosemary, and use lemon pepper and kosher salt. an Italian neighbor of mine used to make it with just the garlic and rosemary, but she used quite a lot of olive oil, and used the drippings over polenta. It was to die for!
Sarv, sounds like you had a fun day, too bad your son isn't very social. At least he and his wife are a matched set, and she isn't pouting about not joining the family outings.
Gonna get busy, lilies to dig and mail, sun's up and visible, so glad to hear everyone had a pleasant weekend.....except for those who are packing for the bone yard...(LOL) Sorry....couldn't resist.
~~~ at all others, and lurkers, have a great day!
Sheila
Good morning every one, That is strange, Ann, my computer changes automaticlally and I did think you were in EST at first, but am never certain about things like that.
Sarv, I would not mind cooking for you but the first thing I'd say with a smile 'no ice cream'. Believe me, you would get so used to eating the right food you would not even want to eat the forbidden ones any more.
dmc, that is a good idea having Samson play with a kid, but I think they would be terrified the way he bahaves when he just sees ine, the first thing Samson would do is knock him/her flat the way he behaves with everybody.
Another beautiful spring day but right now on the chully side 34" but if clouds stay away it willl be quite warm later.
Good Morning!
Ann, the pork with leeks and tomatoes is in the recipe forum, Pork Stew with Leeks. Actually mis-named as it's more of a thick sauce and I serve it over rice. If I don't make it this way, I usually make it browned with garlic & rosemary, white wine in the pan juices and then finished in the oven.
We won the bus! Now just have to figure out some kinks in getting it here. We will fly Bruce up to either Dayton or Indianapolis, just have to get him from the airport to Fairfield where the bus is, about an hour drive from Dayton and a little more from Indianapolis.
If you are curious what urged us to buy it, read the description http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=4629876769&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT
Sheila,
You are a doll! Smooch!!!!
Molly
:^)))
That is some nice looking bus, Darius
Anybody up for a camping trip!!! Go bus!! Love it!
Maria - ice cream is my calcium - I hate milk!! LOL
Been out to the greenhouse - it is toasty in there, but freezing outside..
I need to make some shopping stops, but geesh I don't want to = just want to sit in my chair and read....somebody give me a kick in the hinder.
LOL, Maria... it used to be a prison bus!
darius-How cool! I''m going to hunt up a photo from a couple years ago, took the kids to Shelburne Msuem in Vermont to see a "History of RVing" The kids were rotten, couldn't believe we went all that way to look at crummy trailers...but they had a 1920's teardrop all restored, a couple beauties from the 30's with period fabrics and decor, 40's, vintage Airstreams, right up to now.
Since we used to vacation in a 1940's trailer when I was kid (in the 60's) it was SUCH a blast from the past, I'm still smiling. They also had Jack Kerouac's camper that he traveled the country in in the 60's, BUT...
The one thing the kids loved was a hippie bus, just like yours, all painted psychedelic, with a funky 60's kitchen, jars of granola on the shelf, the cosmos on the ceiling inside (probably blacklight painted) and bead curtains! What a hoot!
Since then it's the one thing we all agree on - it would be "wicked cool" to have a hippie bus!!
sarv ******kick*******
(hope my aim wasn't off) LOL
Dorothy, in many ways I wish this bus could stay with us after we move. Just isn't in the cards money-wise. Dea just sent me a photo of a painted hippie bus. What fun! Love to see what photos you have.
When I was a child just at the end of WW2, my mother and I went with a woman she worked with, plus the husband and their daughter on a trip all over the country, taking 6 months to get from Miami to San Francisco. Not in a bus, but a coupe with a rumble seat for us kids, and towing a 1940's trailer. That was a hoot, too.
Good news! The Seller will pick Bruce up from the airport!
Here's another *******kick******** for Sarv. Go do something useful. I'm off the computer now and out to the garden.
Great bus Darius.
Ann
Hi all, gotta run to the post office, so will comment when I get back. Hope everyone's day is off to a good start.
Darius, LOVE the bus! My step son made a camper out of a school bus. Made trips from Canada to Florida several times.....seems they never wear out.
Happy hauling!
Pati
Editeded to say ~~~~ to everybody!
Morning All,
Have been working on stuff for the hosta co-op. Couldn't believe we received e-mails from Steve already this morning. Well be off and running in no time.
darius,
What a cool bus! I would paint it like the Partridge Family's was,,,ROFLOL It seems to be Just the thing you need to start hauling stuff. I'm so glad you won the bid. Your childhood trip really does sound like a hoot. What a great experience.
dmc,
I think a bit of both. We really didn't have That much snow this year and we haven't had much for rain so far this spring. We're Supposed to get some on Wed. and Thurs. I hope we do, the plants really Need a good drink of rain.
sarv,
That DIL is something else,,,, kick (_|_),,,hope that gets you going along with all the rest,,,LOL
tgif,
Wanted to comment last night on the clock, but was falling asleep,,,it looks great,,,don't ya ever wonder what makes people put stuff like that out at the curb?
Ann,
That's funny, I wouldn't think it would do that.
m5,
I too love all those kinds of sales, Estate, Auctions, Liquidation stores, garbage picking,,,LOL
Maria,
Aw, I bet Samson would have a blast,,,both him and the kids would be worn out by the end of the day,,,LOL I should come live with you so I wouild eat right all the time,,,,LOL I need to get it in gear again and stop with the carbs!
Molly,
The pic of all the DL's was awesome,,,whew,,,you got some major digging to do.
Well, I'm gonna get my hiney out of this chair and get Something accomplished today,,,maybe the laundry monster and cleaning upstairs,,,,then out to see what else is poking their little head up. So far 86 hostas are up and a Bunch of Perennials. Gosh, I just Love this time of year.
Hi to averyone who hasn't checked in yet. Hope all have a great day.
Kelly
This is photo of my DH ancestor who brought it over here in the 17hundreds, I always wonder how he did that without braking the old glass, it was made in Leeds, England
I think I changed something in the camera inadvertantly seem the photo is not as bright as it suppose to be but do not know how to fix it :-(
Maria,
Beautiful clock. That is really something that they got it here in one piece. It's gorgeous.
Now I'm outta here for awhile,,LOL
thanks for the kicks in the arse- got me going!! Went to the huff/puff & to Hobby Lobby where I got a great deal. I was on the look out for an oblisk - found one I wanted, only no price tag (my luck) Got ahold of the manager and she told me a price, plus iron wear was 1/2 off this week. I was positive she was incorrect- but who am I to question a manager!! I got a beauty for 12.99 Had a dickens of time getting in in the car tho - it was so big!
Stopped and got gas 2.77 a gal - highway robbery.(but our local station has been at 2.89 for the past week!) Heard on the way home that Exxon's profits were the highest ever= something just ain't right...
Maria- you would be proud of me. I cruised by Wendy's holding tight to the steering wheel so I wouldn't cruise thru the drive thru window. Came home and had a small dollop of leftover BBQ (no bun...) yogurt with sliced banana. Aren't you proud of me!! See - I need you to remind me how to eat!
Everybody get their taxes filed? DS just did his yesterday. He always gets a wad back= don't know why he waits until the last minute.
Time for the noon news= gotta boogie..
Photo seems just a bit out of focus Maria....maybe you moved the camera a tad when pressing the shutter? It's a beautiful clock though, and I think I see your sweetheart on the wall to the left...no wonder you fell for him!
Dug up the ditch lilies, boxed/labeled and going to the p.o. forthwith to mail to Molly. There might be some stray Stella corms in there because I had them all piled in my little red wagon and I didn't hose them off. Divided several clumps of the Stella and put them in the holes for the magically disappeared ditch dames, the greenery is a lot smaller , wonder if DH will notice. LOL Almost kept my gloves on too....good start for the season, but it probly won't last.
Off to the PO, and a side trip to the market to pick up major salad stuff, fruit, and yogurt. Might make up for the two honking big pieces of devil's food cake I ate last night. Not posting a photo because it appears the cyber treats are not calorie free like we thought!!
~~~~bye....
Sheila

Hi y'all
Have been busy today trying to beat down the ole monster again. He just keeps rearing his ugly head. The DH was off for a long week-end and seems we were on the run constantly. I didn't get anything done around here so am trying to catch up. Have stripped the bed, cleaned the bathrooms, unloaded the dish washer, watered the plants ... well, you get the picture! LOL You don't want a play by play discription of my Mondays! :)
Kelly so glad your coOp is working out. How are your legs and feet doing now that you've cut back on your med? Hope they're better.
Darius, so glad you won the bus bid. Hey, I vote for a Partridge family bus! LOL LOL What a bus! Hey, I could *even* provide you with the music to go with it. hehehe
Molly, how are all those day lillies doing? Bet they're keeping you busy!
M5, did you get any takers on your rock? *ducking*
dmc, actually we cheated. Cooked outside but didn't eat outside. I do miss that part of a picnic. Seems like folks don't do that as much any more. When we were growing up and went on trips, there weren't restaurants everywhere like there are now. Mama use to pack a picnic lunch and we'd stop on the side of the road and have a picnic lunch. Remember when there were picnic areas around? Maybe they're still there, but I'm just not aware of them? I don't think so, though. There was no such thing as the interstate back then. :)
Today is my girl's 11th birthday. I can't believe I've had her 10 years. I received her On Oct 2, 1996. She is my 4th Leader Dog, however my 2nd had to be returned after 11 months so I really only count 3. Kota came along in the nick of time and healed my heart as I had to have my dear Caleb put to sleep after 13 years. It was the hardest thing I *ever* had to do in my life. She has been a good and faithful companion and friend.
Well, my lunch break is over. Waving at each and everyone of you and sending hugs!
... Elaine
Well, the deposit for the bus has been express mailed, and a flight booked next Tuesday to Dayton for Bruce to fetch it. Seller will pick him up at the airport, take him to the title agency to get the title notarized and 30 day tags. Whooopee!
Stopped by a home today where there is a pop-up camper for sale (saw it Saturday) but no one was home. If I can buy it for my price, my sister and I will have a place to sleep while we house-hunt after this place is sold. It's small enough that my mini-truck can haul it. Has a tiny fridge and a propane stove, and each end pops out for a double bed.
The cat(s) won't be too happy but that's the breaks. (Don't know for sure that the kid won't take her cat. She seems to be making NO plans.)
I'm hoping LizH will let us park it on her farm, and we can go from there on a daily basis, and maybe occasionally have hot showers in her house. Have to buy a camping potty though. If my Aunt Marion's house isn't rented (again) by then, we can also park there but there'd be no one around while we investigate housing.
Talking my sister into a laptop (Mac) with wireless internet while we travel. I'll pay for it, monthly payments.
Sheila, What a deal!!!!. I'll keep my eyes open for them.
Yep, the cultivar daylilies have been keeping us busy. I spent all day yesterday getting them posted on the website, only got to the "J's". Today I worked up to the "S's" and decided I better get out to help dig some holes. Jeremy was already out there doing it. Since the sky was cloudy, better to be outside than in.
So we made alfalfa tea 2 days ago and have lots of composted manure. We're using the soil that came in the pots from the daylily farm to amend my soil as well.
Took some ground beef, out making meatloaf for dinner with fresh green beans with some bacon in it I think. Any ideas from yall to make a green bean more interesting and flavorful? Maybe we'll have some of that rice in the pouch that you massage before you micro wave it. Stuff tastes pretty good!
Well, Jeremy and the daylilies are waiting for me.
Back Later,
Molly
:^)))
Darius, Great bus you ole hippy you. :^))))
GM everyone!
I've been trying to catch up on the last 3 days of posts. Oy vey, everyone has been so busy!
I was off yesterday (one of my co-workers asked to trade shifts with me and offered to work Sunday if I would cover her on Wednesday) and able to spend the day with family and friends. We had a wonderful gathering for Easter supper and brought Mum over to celebrate as well. She tuckered out in the late afternoon so I put her in the recliner and put her feet up. She yakked and had a great time with all the folks gathered at my sister's home. We had 15 total and Mum kept right up with everyone. I'm posting her photo from after supper so you can see how tiny she really is. She's only 4' 8". The chair she's in is a small recliner made for people less than 5'5" and Mum is still dwarfed by the chair. I put a pillow behind her back and a rolled towel behind her neck so she was more comfy. I can't believe she's almost 96. Everyone at the gathering was yakking with her and they came to me out in the kitchen to tell me how much they enjoyed Mum and how grateful they were for her lucidity and sharpness of wit.
I'm also posting a photo of my great niece. My niece married a man with a daughter from his first marriage. Last month, this child was able to choose to live with her father and and my niece. I'm forever grateful this has come to fruition. She's a lovely young girl, just turned 13 and is an absolute gem. I'm tickled pink to call her my great niece. She's always a happy child, does well in a house full of adults and is an affectionate soul. Yesterday she asked to be seated next to Auntie Babs and spent the entire day helping in the kitchen, setting the table and playing pool downstairs in the game room with my DH. She helps with "great grandma" and has integrated into the family just as though she's always been a part. How could I not fall in love with this child?!? She's just precious. She took her cute little knitted hat off and put it on great grandma's head and sat next to her on the arm of the recliner. What a little luv she is!
It's sunny at the moment, so I think if it continues into this afternoon, I'll go over to Mum's, mow and put down the weed and feed on her yards. It's been raining so much here lately, her yards are looking rather ratty and I like them to be manicured.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day today. May each of you be blessed with health, happiness and great love in your lives.
Always with care,
~Babs~
This was supposed to be a quick check-in; so I'll have to hold my comments till later. Just wanted to say that I found the tips of three hostas starting to poke up - Paul's Glory, Sun Power and Invincible. The last two I got from Sandy last September. All three are in a holding bed because my new garden wasn't ready in time last autumn; so I'll be moveing them once they are big enough to see easily. That particular garden is right besie my house in an area where the basement wall isn't insulated; so I would expect them to be a bit earlier than the others.
More later.
Ann
Babs, what a beautiful young girl who has become your niece, I think she is just a wonderful addition to your family.
Sarv, good for you, I was goung to suggest to have yogurt instead of ice cream, so stock up on it much better for you and every body else.
This message was edited Apr 17, 2006 2:21 PM
Just popping in real quick....I hope...I love the old car it is sooo pretty I love old cars but love my a.c. more.... And the bus, what a hoot I vote for the Partridge Family paint too...Babs your new niece is beautiful what a great addition to your family.....sarv, delayed **kick** just incase you may need it later and way to go for avoiding Wendys, I paid 2.89 a gallon for diesel today, cheapest gas cost the same..True to Exxon they also had record profits months after Katrina hit too....something is real rotten.... O.K. now for the good news Salsa is home and full of peiss and vinegar. He did'nt want to go into his paddock when we got home wanted to go for a run in the pasture and visit his neighbors, but cannot for at least the next 2 weeks. He is walking so much better on that leg. They did'nt have the bill worked up yet so left them 100.00 deposit which won't put a dent into it but it is a start...Off to try to slay the laundry monster and murder dust bunnies..~~~~Waves to anyone I missed but remember I do suffer from CRS ...:) Lauri
Well, I am back after an exhausting day, more about that later.
GG, We had rain last night, so I didn't need to water. What will your new hosta bed look like? And how many hostas do you have? 60 something sounds like a lot to me!!
dmc. My broccoli did well last year too. Hope the DD does well in school. Try to explain how important that is. I sort of took the camper trip with you, down memory lane.
Viann, laughed about the grandtwin trying to open the crocus. And I loved the car. Isn't it fun finding those new plants emerging?
tgif, that is a beautiful clock. Loved your house too, can we see an outside pic?
Sarv, it has been overcast and cool here today. Glad you said something to antisocial son, lest he would think that you approve of his ways!!. I had some seedlings do that too. Look good, then all of a sudden, poof. That was a good buy on the oblisk. Yesterday I bought gas for 2,73, and the gas companies are so bloated it isn't funny.
M5, did you get the lilies dug? DH will never know the difference. My DH dug some last fall to put on a bank out by the road, I told him it was okay as long as they didn't find their way to the yard. That shopping for salad stuff sounds good.
woodspirit, did I miss you saying that you were doing remodeling, and gonna have to move out. Bet your neighborhood will be quiet.
Maria, Samson would make friends quicky with a child, and they would be best buddies. Maybe you can hire a neighborhood child this summer to give him some more exercise.
Darius, good for you on the bus. And what a bonus, the seller picking up Bruce at the airport. You have a knack for getting all the details worked out. Good sounding plans about the camper, hope it works out.
MollyMc yeah, with everything there is always paperwork to be done!!
pattischell ~~ waving at you. Time for you to post another pic of the doxies,, please!!
Babs, sounds like you had a good Easter get together. Glad that your mum was able to come, and had a good time. The great niece sounds like a miniature adult already. Glad that she is a part of the family. What a sweetie wanting to sit by Auntie Babs. There goes your heart!!
lauriewilson, sounds like Salsa is very glad to be home. I know that he wanted to get out to say hello to the other horses, but it will have to be delayed. Looks like you may have to mortgage him to pay for his care!!. Just make monthly payments, he is worth it.
101, sounds like you were a very busy girl today. I know that when I am otherwise engaged and don't work around the house, it seems like it multiplies, and I have twice as much to do.So glad that you enjoyed your time. Thanks again for that song, DH even came back and asked to hear it again.
Well, the reason for my absence today, is after I ran to the post office, came home and straightened my seed box where DGD had been in it, did a load of laundry, and then headed to the garage to finish repotting the rest of the tomatoes. Took about 2 hours. Also had some perrenials seedlings that I repotted also. My back was killing me, as the table is a little low. Got to remember to take me a chair out there, so that I can be more comfortable. I would like one of those stools with wheels, so that I can roll back and forth to fetch things. Is that getting lazy or what?
Well, I need to hit the kitchen and recycle some leftovers for supper. Plenty of them, got to use them before I start to cook again.
Will be back later to catch up again.
Hello everyone. Today has been kinda wild and I am so far behind on reading posts that I have very little idea of what has been going on since Thrusday. I did skim and see that Lauri's horse is better and is probably home now.
Welcome to Sylvia, maybe you've been here before? anyhow, come back whenever you can.
My ride had all sorts of not so lovely weather: wind, rain, hail, snow, and freezing! Of course then the day after the ride was beautiful to drive home. Patch did just fine on the 50 mile ride, and we got some points for the team on only one distance out of 3, it was just one of those days.
I'm trying to tame the laundry monster and do a bunch of other things. I need to get my tomato, pepper and squash seeds planted today or tomorrow. Also need another chiropractic treatment, and have to see the dentist to get my new crown on Wednesday. There is only one of me so I have to go. ~~~~ing to the rest of you. Catch you later.
DG is so slow I am getting very impatient with it when I finally after several tries get it it takes forever to get to the thread I want. I know it is not my computer since I have no problems with other lines I want to get in touch with.
Defoe, Samson wants to be friends with everybody, nearly knocking them over with affection, just do not know how to tame that tiger, lol
Hi Mary, Lauri, Elaine. Molly. Patti and GG, glad you like my clock, if every thing goes the way it is anticipated it will be my GGSs who wiil have the name of Samual Lord who brought it over here.
