We had an interesting evening here in Salem to take pictures.
Not as colorful as everyone elses but you can sure feel that spring is here.

Here's the same beach with the shipwreak just before the color intensified. It was stunning.

I had to crop my first one to remove the tiny top of tree. The sky was so crystal clear and blue before the storms started coming in.

Here is one as the storm clouds started coming in. By the way has anyone heard from Betty since all the storms passed through. I hope that all is well with all of the DGer's in the path of these storms.

I have just been looking at all of the beautiful pictures. What a fun contest.
Meag...The storm passed us by with no damage to my life. The cloud that I shot did touch down as a tornado just a few minutes after I made that shot. It destroyed two homes and damaged a few others about 4 miles from me. No one was hurt in either home. Clear skys here today.

I just want to say all the pictures are beautiful, when I click on them to look, I think how lucky you are, we never see a sky like these, ours are either Blue, Blue and white or black, no lovely sunset colors, it must have something to do with the ocean.

Betty, thank goodness you are alright! I have worried over everyone that were in the path of these storms. My heart goes out to everone that has suffered through them. You are all in my prayers.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I LOVE these pics!! They are so awesome..
I don't have a chance here.. we only have gray or rain it seems.. nothing to photo...
How does that saying go?? April floods bring May Mud??

Lincoln, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

Wow! Keep them coming! I can't believe what I'm seeing, you have much bigger horizons than I have here!

kareoke and ZZ we haven't had such colour either in the past that I remember, the occasional one but this winter has been exceptional. It must be to do with the cold weather or the unusual position of the moon, I've never seen so many strange patterns around the moon!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I was out all day yesterday and am about to go out for the day now. But I had to stop in and look at all the pictures on this thread. So incredible. THANK YOU all for sharing them.

I was all big eyes at the San Francisco Arboretum and the Conservatory of Flowers yesterday with our very own begoniacrazii Lali. We had a perfect day in every regard. No rain just sun!

This is my favorite tree in the whole world. Every time I go to the Arboretum, my heart skips a beat when I look up at it. I took this pic to share it with all of you! See there is great sky too! LOL

Trees

I think that I shall never see
A poem lovely as a tree,

A tree whose hungry mouth is prest
Against the earth's sweet flowing breast;

A tree that looks at God aft day,
And lifts her leafy arms to pray;

A tree that may in Summer wear
A nest of robins in her hair;

Upon whose bosom snow has lain;
Who intimately lives with rain.

Poems are made by fools like me,
But only God can make a tree.

I guess that this one would be in cat. 1 blue and white. Look real close and you can see the moon. I just wish that we have more of the colorful sunsets.

We have very little for just the blue and white category, I took some pics of the clouds yesterday. the weather was blowing very cold, then turned to a really blue sky with big clouds moving fast (got some gardening done!)
