April

Horsens, Denmark

It really shows that april is here.
It drizzles for two minutes, then there is bright sunshine for four minutes, then there is rain and sunshine at the same time.
There has even been a bit of snow and even hail. When it looked as if it at last was stable, I decided to walk the dog, it the middle of it all it starts pouring down, got wet to the dones. My dog enjoyed though, he was very happy, so I got a big smile out of it, even if I was freezing ;o)
How has April showen it self in you area, any wet dogs around LOL

Yesterday was our first rain in over a month. Mother Nature did not hold back. We had hard rain for about a half hour after having a mostly cloudy day. No wet dogs in my house, they refused to go outside at all so had to wait for the downpour to end.
This morning seemed so clear and colorful. I love the way the world looks after a good rain.

Tdoay started out cloudy and windy, now its just windy with alot of sunshine. Supposed to get more rain later this week with alot of cloudiness till then. As long as the temps stay above freezing and my plants keep growing Im a happy camper.

Interesting Zest that you mention the wet dog thing cause I was woken up by my two soaked terriers this morning. They were full of it when they came up to wake me. Spring rain is so velcome here. Keep it comming. In you beautiful country I so enjoyed the gardens. I love the trails I walked in Denmark with all the flowers in the gardens near Copenhagen. I would get up early and walk through the bike trails to see the beauty of your cities. Unlike here there was no grass only Flowers, flowers, flowers!
Here is spring in Montana.

Speaking of spring;
Around here about the 16th of March it begins to warm some [eratically, yes]. Then about the 16th of April it warms some more and certain things can be planted outside. Then about the 16th of May it is safe to plant anything. Then about the 16th of June it stops raining so much and turns really dry.. and hot.

Dravencat, you have some clever dogs, my thinks he is a furry fish.
Will give you right as long as it is not freezing I am happy

Soferding, our dogs must be distant family LOL.
Glad that you liked your stay, flowers are the big thing here, in the gardens as inside the homes (refreshes the gloomy winter).
Did you get to se some of the kolonihavehuse, the small gardens with tiny houses?.
They are mostly ment for people that do not have a garden. I can se that you still have a bit of snow, a very nice photo, like how the sunlight comes trough

These gardens were along a pathway through Copenhagen over 30 years ago. When I was backpacking around Europe. I don't remember the houses only the gardens. I was there in the summer each time. Wow. I remember my hotel was near Tivoli (Sp) gardens. But I hiked all over town. I Love the mermaid at the harbor entrance.

Yes Copenhagen is very nice, try to visit once a year. There are still some of these places left, gives the city some charm. Did the mermaid had her head when you were here. I think it was around 30 years ago that she was beheaded for the first time. Happened again 3-4 years ago, but this time the head was found.

Someone has a precious little Dachshund! Mine is black, and he's much smaller. Speaking of the rain, if it even smells like rain, he will NOT go outside! --I-- have to go out with him, and even then he will NOT get wet!! Of course, his belly is so close to the ground :)

the flowers in this string are SO beautiful!

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Yes she did have her head and it had always been left alone. When I heard that that happened I was greatly saddened. So many unhappy people.

Soferding,Yes will give you right on that. First time was an artist, that demonstrating something. Last time i think was some bored young people.

Indy , oh my that must be in F. that would be 22- 38 C-ich. Sommers here are generaly at 70-75F, rarely 85-90F and only for a few days.

FlowrLady, appears the dachshund is name Mozart, had one as a child and will propably have one againg when I no longer can manage a big dog.

Zest, we got our first Doxie when I was in the 8th grade. She lived for 12 years, and we had to put her to sleep because of her health. Used to, when my mom would start hollering at us, she would include the dog's name right in there! Eva was just like a sister, and I guess a daughter to my mom! We loved her so deeply! I've always been a dachshund-person, and I guess I always will. My last one died on the operating table while he was getting his teeth cleaned! I never saw it coming. It was so sad... But PeeWee has filled that place in my heart completely to overflowing! He is such a wonderful companion... so I understand you planning to get one in the future. They just grow on you.

Well, the people are dressed nicely, and the dog is really cute... but I can't read any of the words :(

The weather has been very bad about 100 miles north of me. That is where the tornadoes went through the other day, and about 29 people died. Where I am we had only rain, thank Heavens!!

I am taking Monday off from work to work in my gardens... It's time to plant (and weed).
