travel to Edinburgh

I guess there's no "travel" forum (hmmm, Dave?). Anyway, I'm going to Edinburgh for a week in May, and wondering if anyone has any suggestions on B&B's, or what area of the city would be nice to stay in. Public gardens, rockhounding.......anyone?

Why not try the European Gardening forum? I've been to Edinburgh for a day but not to stay for any length of time.
