Coffee and...For Monday, March 27, 2006 =^..^=
kittymom, it was only a fiberglass wheel barrow, but evidently didn't want me loading it in the truck. Maybe had a yearning to be a permanent fixture at DM's house!! LOL. Have taken some Tylenol pm and hope that when the bed beckons, that my back will be ready.
Sundays for me is rest time. I am so busy during the week, I have to have the day as a day of rest. Plan to get out tomorrow and do some more clean up. Now that I have the wheel barrow home, won't have to make so many trips to the refuse heap. Don't know what the weather is supposed to be, but hope that it cooperates. I can do the chilly, windy etc, but the rain stops me every time.
Well, gonna try it, last night (this morning) it was 3:00 am, so hopefully I can get a 2 hour jump on the sleep thing.
Nighty Night.
Good Morning. got up early and made a huge batch of 'chinese salad' = it's on the counter for anyone who likes to eat lunch for breakfast!! You know me! I'll be taking it to a gathering today. We're meeting at a friends new house that is being built to take a tour. It is one of those McMansions with 22 ft ceilings. I will be jealous until I think about their heat bill! LOL
I slept so hard last night that I awoke and my head hurts like it was slammed into the pillow. Crazy feeling...can't decide whether to take an aspirin or not...decisions, decisions
GG - cute pics. I can't tell ya now often I've had the 'low battery' thing show up on my camera. I bought two sets of rechargeables and it still appears!! Your neice has very graceful lines...bet she is a joy to watch.
Defoe - laughed about you showing up at the NOT potluck! Did you use the 2x4? Oh well, you're right- dinner is all set for tonight! Look on the bright side!
CRS - is part of my name. How can this happen to a well educated person?? I act like some dolt off the street sometimes.. embarassing...
Well, hair doesn't look any better this morning...I'm off to see if I can rearrange it into something passable.
Sun is out here!! yahoo
Good morning all,
I had a message written last night and lost it when I left the thread and came back. Don't know why it does that only sometimes. Anyway, I just left the computer for the evening. Had been fighting with a merge file in WordPerfect that I was editing and something is locking up the program (fortunately not the whole computer). Tried it again this morning and it still does it even with a newly booted computer. I think I'll copy it to the old computer and see if I can finish the edit.
We have another glorious sunny day here today. Should see more noticeable progress in the amount of snow which melts. Haven't started any seeds yet but will soon.
Well, can't write much more. Aquafit in an hour and I've got to get breakfast.
Have a good day, everyone. TTYL.
Ann
Susan I have not looked here yet. But we gat both home depot and lows plus 2 wally worls super stores. You cannot blame the people in the stores they are taught customer service as it relates to selling. Might help if you wrote to the main office and told them about it. somebody was saying. and send a CC: to whatever office in your state covers that kind of thing plus another CC for your locale newspaper. Bad press and trouble with locale goverments is something they do not like. I think those plants are coming from Oklahoma. There is a monster place out there that produces all those plants for Wally World,Lowes and Home Depot over a wide region. At least that is what I was told.
Good morning Sarv, Ann and every one that follows
Sun is out here to, Sarv, but still a very cold wind I slept very hard too and woke up with a headacheand my mouth was so dry I hardly could move my tongue, lol
Samson woke me up out we went threw balls, i noticed they do not go as far now the ground is so much softer, after that was breakfast for him, my, what a glutton he is, you'd think I am starving him. Right now he is barking at me like crazy, wanting me to throw some more balls , but I am not so out he goes with out me. Another thing he does, he digs craters in the lawn, wish he would stop that, my husband would have several fits if he could see that, he was very fussy about his lawn, much more then I ever was.
.
Have not heard from my accountant yet, hope he knows April 15 is around the corner, lol. He usually is very prompt.
There is so much to do in the garden, I really don't care to do such as picking it up all the dead stuff but it has to be done.
Hi all
YAY its sunny here, (so what if it's 30)...it will be 60 by Friday. Knowing that will give me real motivation to clean so when it's nice, I can just stay outside. I'm getting a bit tired of all the shelves of plants in the kitchen too, and the soil and water drips on the floor. Isn't it so liberating to finally get them outside? (Not that Ill be doing that for weeks, but I had wondered if spring had simply gone elsewhere)
defoe-ouch on the back, it was probably twisting to load the wheelbarrow. All those muscles that have been sitting around suddenly have to spring to action in garden season! I pick up five 50 bags of soil every couple of days, and load and unload myself and add them to the gardens, just for warming up those muscles (although the 55 lb bags of dog food help keep me in shape too). Seems like there are always pulled muscles this time of year no matter.....
sarv-A McMansion tour? LOL...They're still going up all over, but with the price of oil I can't imagine how they'll stay popular! I just don't get it myself....All you need is a snug house - and a big barn, a workshop, a garage, and a greenhouse...oh maybe a potting shed....a gazebo would be nice too....I'll look into endless summer hydrangea.
Elaine-I hope you're warming up there too....
Kelly-the pics of your niece are wonderful! Fun seeing your family. Sounds like a great day!
ANn-the photo of the bells with the colors of the windows is just beautiful! It looks so serene!
bal-I quickly determined that there was NO WAY I could get a transcontinental flight that would get me to your place in time for dinner....drat...if only you were closer!! I would've dropped by!
McCool- I have CRS too and if beating yourself up for screwing up, forgetting things, and misplacing things, counts as exercise, well I could put out my own exercise video!! I'm in great shape! Blueberry filled chocolate sounds great, if you find the info, let us know...I think I could use some!!
Maria-Has Samson made much progress on his huge bone? Our dogs can't seem to stop when they have a big project like that!!
Okay, running for a bit...Have a great day all!!
Ann some of these problems with the postings I think come from the Daves Garden side. I am not sure. They run Linux. I do not understand that myself but my daughter evaluated it for her company. I remember her talking about it and at one time she was very up and at another time she was not. I need to remember to talk to her and her husband about that when I go up there.
Sunshine here too, but dire predictions of rain, so if I'm going to get those sprouting daylilies planted it better be this morning. Taking the cordless phone with me in case I bend over and can't straighten up again!
Now I know where that coffee went, I must have given it to McCool to put away in a safe place! Funny how you can wrack your brain trying to remember something and then give up, only to have it pop into your head later. Now you just trust the vendor doesn't have CRS and he remembers to send you the catalog.
Sarv, go to the doctor. Or we will have to get out the 2X4. And don't be in a hurry to do something to your hair, I've notice the color becomes less intense after a few shampoos. I kind of like it a bit on the orangy side, as long as it's not all over.
Bal, you had quite a week. I'm sure your bride enjoyed that homecoming dinner. Next time you make it, give us a little more notice so we can get there on time. Yesterday, I went freezer scrounging and took out what I thought were frozen lamb chops...unmarked, of course. Well, they turned out to be two pieces of NY Strip and it worked out fine with the side dishes I planned but....geeeez, wouldn't you think I'd have learned to label things, by now?
That blue cheese was wonderful, I picked it up at my favorite Italian market, which has a nice selection of imported cheeses. The first time I used it on a salad quite a while back, I asked DH how he liked it. He said he didn't. He preferred the supermarket variety. So, yesterday, when I made up the snack I didn't say anything about it until we were finished, and then I said, "Wasn't that blue cheese great? " and he agreed. So perhaps he's got a touch of that negative response thing that Sarv's DH has?? LOL
Maria, that no bone for sissies! Your SIL sure knows how to impress a dog! I find using my finger as a mouse is going to take a bit to get accustomed to. Also, DH got it set up to get into Roadrunner, for access to the internet, and even though it says it is connected, it isn't. So today I will spend some time (O Joy) on the phone with RR and maybe Gateway to see if they can provide some help. Going to check the website too and see if there's anything there that will give me a clue, before I start the telephone marathon.
GG thanks for sharing the pics. Your niece is a darling girl, and the family picture is so nice. Your mother and grandmother have the same beautiful smile! Is Bill sleeping better or just waiting to see if he gets the old job back?
V.Ann gave us a beautiful picture too. The reflection of the stained glass in the handbells is excellent! Fortunately someone remembered to bring a camera. I keep trying to remember mine, because I will see something that makes me want to stop and take a picture, but most of the time, it's sitting on the dock at home. If it weren't handy that way, there wouldn't even be pictures of Sammi. Yes, he hardly looks like a kitten any more. He still chases Mini, but he's not as ferocious about it. She still moans and complains though.
Susan, I have a whole tub of Beanies down in the basement....I got crazy for a while, and then the whole collecting thing took a nose dive, so they are virtually worthless. I have two or three that someone might buy (Chops, and the purple Princess one) but even on Ebay they don't have much value. I'm thinking I should maybe donate them to the local Children's Hospital, at least some small children might enjoy them. I even made DH take them to a swap meet last year...not one sale!
Dcat, I knew there would be penalties for hoisting that wheelbarrow! It's not the weight, it's the twisting and turning that does the damage.
Give yourself a break and baby it for a while with some pain killer, there's a long gardening season coming up and you need to be ready for it.
I'm heading for the Gateway website and see if I can understand any of the techno language....which is doubtful. DH got pretty fed up with trying to deal with it last night, so it's my turn to make an effort.
~~~ to everyone...
Morning all.
4:00 AM isn't my usual rise and shine time, but this morning there was a terrible odor coming from one of the crates next to my bed. Poor Immy had pooped all over her crate, something which had never happened before. She seems to be OK, but I have no idea what caused it. Both kids eat the same, be it kibble or whatever they get into.
Dinner was good and the wine was excellent. Chardonney/Pinot Grigio in a blue bottle. So great to have my sweetheart back. Very long day, given check-out-get to airport-fly home-get through airport-drive home scenario. Although I didn't get to the vacuuming, I did get all the mess cleaned up and washed my weeks dirty laundry. The picture moulding is 3/4 finished and the last couple pieces should go up this afternoon. Then I can search out cord to hang the pictures with instead of wire. The new desks are working out fine and the keyboard drawer is neat.(never had one before)
Garden redo has been on hold due to room redo, but this week will see some improvement. Need to have the fencing up before planting to keep the kids from tearing around the newly planted beds. Lots of stuff is beginning to peek through and the bulbs are blooming all over the place.
Sun will be up soon, whether we can see it or not is another question, but there's a chance the morning paper might be here so it's off to check on that, do the crossword if it is, and have another cup of coffee either way.
ttyl
Whew!
I'm back from my house guests, but truly pooped. Carol bought over 2100 plants wholesale here, mostly plugs, but some bananas, gingers and nun's orchids in 3 gallon pots. Took us a total of about 15 hours spread over 2 days to re-pack everything so she could get it all in her compact car to take back to Virginia. Can't believe we got it all in!
Then, we had a hard frost last night and my tomatoes in the garden are toast as are a few other things. Sigh.
I need to get outside and clean up the mess we made repacking plants, and then a nap. Be back later, sorry that I skipped the chatter for the last few days.
Waving to every one and in desperate help of a computer guru...anyone here?? I need to do a restore point on my HP and cannot figure out how. I'll go to computer forum but thought I'd try here first.....UGH My March Month of Mondays continues....Lauri
darius- ;-( on the tomatoes!! I'm so sorry to hear it. 2100 plants...that might just be too many to appreciate in such a short time!!
Great to see you again Darius, are you feeling OK ? That's a whole bunch of plants, and you got them ALL in a compact car! That must have been quite a sight. Sorry 'bout the 'maters, but it isn't too late to replant is it ?
Meezer, wish we had a good cheese shop nearby. The closest is in Seattle, downtown I think, and in the Italian store in the Pike Place Public Market. Trader Joe's has a pretty good selection and it is only 15 or so miles away.
Ann, the bell photo is beautiful. It would make a nice Christmas card.
Tomatoes... I have several more in 4 inch pots in the pump house so I can transplant them into the garden later this week. Have to start from scratch with squash, peppers and maybe even the corn. Bummer.
Robert, Carol had 30 trays (50 to 105 per tray) of plugs (besides all the big stuff) and over 2 afternoons we took them out of the trays and layered them in boxes so they could pack easier and in less space. Wish I had taken photos. I'm exhausted from all the work but at least I got a fried oyster dinner out of it, LOL. Besides, what are friends for if not to pitch in?
VAnn, the bell photo is gotgeous!
Hi All,
Marie,
Glad to see you in coffee. Hope you can find the time to be a regular. Thanks, I love em,,,LOL Well, I really don't like my Brother,,,Asked my Mom how I got such a dork for a brother,,,LOL I do love him tho.
Elaine,
Yes, I hate senior moments. They seem to be getting more frequent,,,grrrr Bill quit his 3rd shift job, which is fine with me. If he hadn't, I think one of us would have been in jail on death row. OOOO 44 is cold for you. Hope you warm up soon.
dcat,
LOL @ relying on memory,,,same here,,,scary thought, that's why we try to get pics every year. Sorry but had to LOL @ the church dinner,,,isn't that Just like a man???? Thanks
Susan,
Stupid stores selling infected hostas,,,,they just really don't know it. Would be nice if their growers knew it and would so something about it instead of only worrying about a profit. Thanks
sarv,
Glad you slept well but sorry to hear your head hurts, hope it's gone fast. Same here with CRS,,,,better start doing some of those brain exercises. Last IQ test I took was 124,,,couldn't tell it with how bad me memory is getting,,,,maybe just too much going on in there at one time,,,,LOL
Ann,
Stupid puters,,,,hate when they do crap like that. Very frustrating. Have a good Aqua Fit session.
oz,
Hi,,,,good advice.
Maria,
LOL @ Samsons craters,,,,trying to keep himself busy I guess. Still not good tho,,,don't know how to get them to stop,,,maybe post in Pet Forum,,,someone might have a good way to stop that digging. Hope your headache is gone by now
dmc,
Have mixed feelings about the gardening season coming again,,,,it only means I'll rediscover muscles that haven't been used since last year,,,will be living on Ibuprofen for the first few times in the garden. Thanks,,,yes, it is fun. However a really rough trip. Drive up 350 mi. on Sat. drive back 350 mi. on Sun. LOL @ exercising for CRS.
M5,
Thanks,,,,I think she's perty cute,,,but I'm partial,,,LOL Bill quit the 3rd shift and will be doing some things around the house until he gets his other job back. He's going to tear off and shingle the Salon roof,,,,that should be fun with all that pounding during the day,,,grrrrr Dontaing the Beanies to the childrens Hospital is a wonderful idea,,,,I bet they would get a lot of love there. I do that to Bill sometimes also,,,he usually doesn't know the difference if he doesn't see the packaging,,,LOL They are SO easy.
bal,
Poor Immy,,,maybe just an upset tummy form a bug or something? Glad the projects are showing improvement and are getting close to being done.
darius,
Whew,,,that's a lot of work! I would have loved to have seen everything being compacted,,,LOL Glad to hear you got a nice dinner out of it. And, yes, friends are always willing to help. Sorry to hear of the frost,,,takes a long time to put in that many,,,, and then to have them freeze,,,grrrr Glad to hear you have more tho.
laurie,
Hi,,, Sorry I can't help with that.
Well, better get going,,,,have taken almost 45 min. to post this,,,LOL Have to tackle the laundry monster, the dust bunny monster and the rest of the monsters.
Hi to all who haven't checked in yet.
Hi Everybody! Hope everyone had a good weekend. Thank goodnes my mood has improved since this morning. I sure woke up on the wrong side of the bed today! Ever have one of those days when just everything pi-----s you off? That was me this morning.
Ann that really is a lovely pictur of the bells. Whoever suggested using it for a christmas card had a great idea. You should do that!
Sarv - Please go to the Dr.! Anything that involves breathing should be checked out and soon. We'll have to make a DG road trip and drag your hiney to the Dr. Just go so you can make the rest of us feel better.
Kelly - Beautiful skating pictures. What's the lates on Bill's job situation?
Darius - So sorry about your plants. That is so sad after you put all that work into raising them.
We started putting up my little greenhouse yesterday. Boy is that thing cheesy! I hope I can get a year or two use out of it. It definately won't stand up to much wind. DH is going to see if he can re-inforce it somehow. We just put the frame up yesterday since it was sooo windy. Someday I WILL have a real greenhouse. Maybe this years bonus... hmmmm......
To those of you have been doing the dentist thing lately, why did you have to jinx me? I broke a tooth this weekend. I don't have a toothache, but that bugger is sharp! I'm going after work to have is smoothed a little. Then set up a regular appointment.
To those I missed, not intentional. Lunch break is over. Have a great afternoon.
suzie,
Bill's job situation is this: he quit the 3rd shift job,,,,one of us would have ended up in jail,,,that shift was That bad. Hopefully he's going back to his other job in 2 weeks,,,,they are in contract negotiations with their main customer. I'm fairly certain the customer will sign. They can't get a closer facility (about 2 mi.) or one that will give them the quality of service that this one does. It's just a waiting game now,,,,,unfortunately.
While he's off, he's going to tear off and shingle the roof on the Salon,,,,should proove to get on my nerves very quickly with all that pounding. I think I'll ask him to do it when the Salon isn't open,,,,early mornings and when I don't have any customers.
Hi all
Finally sitting down a minute for a bite of lunch. I do love my container plants but by the time I give everyone a drink ... I'm exhausted and haven't gotten much of anything else done. *sigh* Have set out my tomatoes so they could get a bit of sun for an hr. Have set my timer so I won't forget them just in case the senior thing sets in. :) I've battled the laundry monstrer but decided I am agreeing with what Meezers said yesterday about the vacuuming more and more. Think I'll just pretend a bit longer that the dust isn't there. After all ... if I clean it, it will only make room for more. :)
Suzie, so sorry your greenhouse isn't *exactly* what you've been wanting. I'm not gonna hold my breath for one even though I've been told blue is my color. LOL
Hi Kelly~ so sorry Bill couldn't adjust to the 3rd shift. Maybe he will be happier when he can get back to his old job. Just think of the money you'll save while he's home doing those repairs. Want me to send you some ear muffs? Guess not. You won't be able to hear *your* customers! LOL
Darius, glad you have more plants. That's a bummer to lose those like that. This is *really* crazy weather!
Okay, I'm not good with stories but here's one I've just got to tell. Maybe I can do it justice.
I have those long self watering planters that I line up on my deck rail. So far I don't have them all full, so the squirrels are having a ball running all over the rails and stopping to eat and dig in my pots. The DH got the bright idea to set the empty ones on the rail so they couldn't run around. Well, those devilish little things can still perch on the edge of those empty pots and eat their nuts without turning them over. It's just amazing to see them out there with their little feet wrapped around the top of that pot and he's just perched on the edge of the thing. Soooo, you know me! I told the DH to turn them and balance them the long way so when they tried to sit on it, it would flip off the rail. We went to WM yesterday and when we got home the pots were in the yard. I would have *loved* to see the expression on that squirrels face as he went to sit down. LOL LOL
Okay ... the end of my story!! :)
... Elaine
Kelly,
I guess that it's good and bad that Bill's jobless at the moment. Just think how nice it will be to have the new roof.
Who has gardening advice for me? I started a flat of morning glories on the 21st and they are now about 3 inches high. What am I going to do? I was under the impression that they were slow to germinate. I tried the hydrogen peroxide treatment on them......VERY successful. My sister suggested that I pull them up and resow later. Geez... Can they be pinched back when they get a second set of leaves or something?
Marie
Sorry can'tnswer all of you, wxcept ELAINE, if you have senior moments at your age what d o I have? Senior-senior-senior moments?? lol, besides I feel not good at all today, one of those days when I need more then Paxil
Afternoon everyone - just having some cheese and triscuits - plates on the bar -help yourself.
Darius - glad to see you are back amongst us!! How many plugs???? Wow, bet that was some sight....I'd love that many....Sorry about the freeze - I didn't realize that you would still have them that far south. We still have many to come...May 15th is out plant out date. I've tried to push it a couple of times and been burned...so I faithfully wait. You are a good friend to help out so!
GG - happy to hear that we won't have to visit you in jail!! Put Bill to work for 2 weeks and then hopefully he will be gainfully employed again and out of your hair!
suz - I feel much better...my allergies cause me various problems, so I quit all meds for awhile and seem better. I will go to the doc if needed, but hate to waltz in for just anything. I have a bad problem with anxiety and I think that causes me problems...I think the worse of course = and that is all the time!! Keep the dentist/teeth problems to yourself - I don't need that!!
Laurie- wish I was more knowledgable about computers - but I am an ignoramous with them - I just hit buttons....wish I could lend a hand!! Good Luck...
I just got home from the visit to my friends new home- oh my gosh. It was out of house beautiful!! And huge.....and overlooking the most beautiful lake....They just got the dry wall all up, so we're going back in a month for another look....maybe in another life....LOL
Well, time to build fire - it is sunny outside, but cool still inside.
Yes, the roof will be really nice. I just wish we could afford to do the house at the same time,,,gonna look kinda funny with 2 different roofs,,,LOL Oh well, I don't sweat the small stuff.
Marie,
I would just let them go until they have their first set of true leaves and then pinch them back. Wow, they did so really well,,, maybe too well,,,LOL I definitely wouldn't pull them and re sow,,,too much of a waste of plants and time.
sarv,
Nice to see how the other half lives sometimes isn't it? I try not to do that too often,,,,makes me ornery,,,LOL No, really, I am very thankful for what God has blessed me with.
Well, time to get back to work.
Kel
Kelly----- The thing I am trying to say about all these infected Hosta. Is it does no good to get at Lowes are anyone else. You got to get to the suppliers. In this case I think it is out in Oklahoma? People need to write letters to Lowes home office and tell them about it and that you will report it to your state authoriteis and the locale news media. Just be sure you what your looking at is Hosta virus X . I have not seen it here but if I do I will contact Lowes home office and we will go from there.
Sarv, 2182 plugs plus 20+ 3 gallon pots, a few 1 gallon pots, and maybe a dozen 4" pots.
oz,
you are absolutely right. I am going to check those stores around here and see what they have. If they have plants with obvious signs, I will let them know and corporate also.
darius,
Did the driver have any room?? LOL
Hello again. I haven't read anything since Thursday, and will just have to try to catch up in a few days. My ride went fine, yes, I have sore muscles but better today than yesterday. We have a housefull of company for the next few days, including having people sleeping in the room where the computer is, so my computer time is limited for most of the week. Anyhow, I wanted you all to know I am ok. See you later.
I really hope I haven't overstepped anyone's boundries, but this picture of my great grand-daughter just came in my e-mail. She is 3, smart and VERY opinionated, and thinks she is the best dressed lady in the valley. She also speaks in sign language because she has a trachioscopy (sp) which we hope will be removed when she is 5.
She is feeding HER chickens, and yes, that's snow on the ground! LOL
Pati
Oh, Pati, what a hoot!! She's a charmer for sure. Can I borrow her? My kids produced all smelly loud little boys.
Very Cute girl, Pati!
Did you mean tracheostomy? http://www.tracheostomy.com/what.htm
I think that's different from a normal trachetomy that doesn't stay in long. But Hey, I have CRS, what do I know. LOL.
~~~ waving to everybody popping in trying to keep up never seem to but giving hugs to all
Pati that shot is priceless!!!!!
Anne
Darius. Well, you know how to spell! LOL Yes, that right. I'll have to call her mother to find out how to spell the name of why she has it.
Her mother titled the picture "Chickenbutt"
Meezer, she has a smelly loud brother!!! LOL
Pati
Greetings,
I’ve had enough trouble viewing two windows (and losing messages) in the new version of IE, that I’ve decided to use a half screen of WordPerfect and a half screen of DG. We’ll see if it works. At least WP makes automatic back-ups every 5 minutes. LOL
Sarv is that a problem with your camera - the low battery thing? My camera takes 2 AA’s and goes through them quite quickly if I use the flash. But, even though it’s not so good for the environment, I’ve found the easiest thing to do is just keep 2 fresh batteries in the case. Buy them in packs of about 20 and they are quite cheap.
A bit disappointing that stores like Loews don’t care that they are selling diseased plants. Has anyone tried printing out info on Hosta Virus X and speaking specifically with a manager. Seems to me that if a store is advised they are selling diseased plant stock and continues to do so that people might have a case to sue them for the value of other plants to which the virus spreads.
Defoe - hope the back is improving. There will be lots to do in my garden too when the snow is finally gone, but at least they are all top dressed with the extra soil I had from my garden extension. And the compost pile we turned out, we didn’t sieve as we usually do. I just told DH to put it at the bottom of the new garden. Bottom line, we don’t have to deal with it this spring. Good thing because he won’t be able to help.
Blueberry filled chocolate? Well, aren’t blueberries a new miracle food? What better than to put them in CHOCOLATE?
Hair color - the last few times mine has been a bit orangey for my taste after I color it. As Sheila says, it does lessen after a few shampoos. (I generally mix together a golden blonde and a light red to get my color).
If you like blue cheese (I LOVE it), try the new Danish blue with cranberries. Rosenborg puts it out. Yummy!
Pictures of the bells - I’ve got quite a few. Several show a great big smear on the C4 bell. Get it’s about time we did a take apart polish of them. We do that only every year or so but we do wipe them down with cloths filled with jewelers rouge at the end of each practice.
Welcome back Darius. 2100 plants - Wow! Sorry about the lost tomatoes though.
Lauri - good luck with your computer problem.
Robert - and others who think we should make Christmas cards - good idea. Maybe we could make some and sell them at the church bazaar. Or at least have them for members.
Elaine - hope you finally conquered the laundry monster.
Suzie - good luck with the broken tooth. Hope you were able to keep your tongue away from it till you got to the dentist.
Kelly, hope all goes well with Bill returning to work and also doing the roof on your salon.
Elaine, anything that might upset those d@#$ squirrels sounds good to me.
Senior-senior-senior moments, Marie?? I doubt it. Or they are really brief moments. I hope I’ve got it as well together as you do when (if) I get there.
Oz, I think you probably have the best idea about dealing with Loews.
Pati - LOL on the picture. That’s a keeper - for maybe when she gets married? Hope the trachioscopy (or however you spell it) is removed on schedule. She’s a real charmer.
Well, I’ve got to go make dinner soon. Have a student coming today instead of tomorrow at 7. The Red Hat group went out for lunch; so I’m not yet very hungry, but I will be.
I’ll try to stop in later.
Ann
PS - The write in WordPerfect worked quite well. It also showed my where my spelling errors/typos were.
Pati, that picture of your GGD is priceless, but wonder what she will think when she gets to be 12 or 13 years old and sees it? I just can imagine!
I remember seeing some of mine in my birthday suit at that age, I nearly flipped out, now I think they were pretty cute too but I don't have them anymore, wonder what my parents did with them,
Vi - you need to be like M5 and me (or should it be I??) - we choose our hair color by the 'food' standard!! Mine was caramel.... I use rechargeable batteries in my camera - the LCD panel just eats them up and it seems I always use flash. Oh well, could be worse
Had shrimp sauteed in garlic/olive oil and a salad for dinner. Not bad. DH and I are taking turns cooking.
Patti - what a cutie patootie!! We only have stinky smelly ornery boys in our family too. I dream of 'pink'! and braids, and lace....
Mary, glad you survived your first ride - how'd ya do? How was the weather? Take a hot tubby to soak out all those aches and pains - have a glass of wine too - that will help!!
Darius -that number of plants is overwhelming. Does your friend sell them for a living? How many did she leave with you?
GG, I get ornery about not being blessed with a beautiful home, but on the other hand, I have so much, I shouldn't complain. But I think it is human nature to be 'green' LOL
Maria, hope you are feeling better. My headache finally went away - but I to take a couple of aspirin to help it along. Seems like I am always popping something in my mouth - and I hate taking pills!! even vitamins gag me!!
Well, time to play a couple of game sof free cell. Hey M5 - how's that new computer doing??
Sarv, I ended up with maybe 4 plants... we named them "hospital babies" LOL. I really don't have any place for my own stuff yet and Molly wasn't here to pick and choose.
Probably all of us have "birthday suit" photos somewhere!
