Are we having problems?

For the last half hour, I've not been able to get around, and I've gotten the following errors

Database error: Invalid SQL:
MySQL Error: 2013 (Lost connection to MySQL server during query)
Session halted.

Warning: mysql_pconnect() [function.mysql-pconnect]: Link to server lost, unable to reconnect in /www/garden/inc/common/db_mysql.inc on line 53

Session halted.

Well, it seems that as soon as I got this to post, it started working again.

Maybe I fixed it? ;)

I couldnt even get back on DG until just a few mins ago.

Yeah, I was almost going thru withdrawal!

The site is moving slow - I contacted Dave so I know he's aware of the problems ;o)

Been suffering from DG withdraw all day. How addicted am i?

I had problems late last night and just quit. Back on this morning, and everything is working well.

very slow for me today- like molasses.

I have cable and it's taking so long to even get to one thread...like over a minute per page. I tried earlier to get to this thread and finally gave up.

If I had as much trouble getting on ebaY or Amazon as DG, I'd quit... and I don't pay anything for those sites.

I'm working on it (of course). It's ridiculous that with 4 servers online we can hardly keep the site running above a snail's pace. I've got some other people helping me with this, which should help bring some new expertise.

So it's not me! I was having trouble loading loooong pages, but now I'm getting around. Thanks for asking Joan, even tho it was Saturday. I've been ''gone'' over the weekend.

Dave, you do an exellent job!!! I can't even imagine how you set this all up, and I hope you never quit.

I am glad it is not only me. I have been gone for a week and then for a couple of days too much to do. Today then everything very slow. I am glad Dave knows how to fix all problems.

Joanne, Dave says he's working on it. With 4 new servers it should be faster, not slower so he's working hard on it.

The chat is not working for me this afternoon. Anyone else having problems signing on? Just a blank page.

I seem to be having trouble navigating DG tonight, I have DSL but it seems to take a really really long time to load anything on this site tonight, at least for me. I swap back and forth between sites right now while waiting for DG to load what I want.

I had probelms last night around 9 PM. Some took so long I gave up.
I know it was not on my end, because other sites worked fine

Me too Bernie. Very slow. Sometimes not letting me post. "page is no longer available" message came up several times. Also happened about an hour ago.

Very slow for me last night and today too.

Really bad here. I didn't think the site was even going to load tonight, around 9:30p.m. CST. Still so slow-seeing several double posts from regulars-probably because it takes so long to load?

Half of my posts go through easily, but the other half take me to a page telling me I must be logged in and registered before I can post.

Very slow for me, too. Sometimes it just times out but no error messages, maybe because I use SUSE Linux. Just letting you know.

Lately it's been so slow it reminds me of when I had dial-up. I am thinking of contacting my ISP and switching back to dial-up. This will save me over 25.00 a month. DG and my email are the only things I do on the web anyway so I really don't need high speed. I mean I really can't tell I have it anyway when I am here at DG- LOL!!!

Now before folks get all mad at me- I am joking!
