Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

All great!
Snow Leopard has no buds yet but is about 4 inches in diameter.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

HMMMMM Your's is small. I wonder what happen sent you out the largest and Laurie got one and I have one. Mine gave me several sukcers. I did dump it on the floor once and broke leaves dirt every where but it's growing like a weed. Do you have your's in the WIndow natural light or gro-lights, ? What food do you use ?

Grand Forks, BC(Zone 5b)

Allison, your...uhhh... little Girl is beautiful. Whippet? I also am captivated by your B-Man's Etna. Both ladies are gorgeous! Ü

Don

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

April how is Picasso ? It was pretty big did it bloom ? And Ellie Gardner had already bloomed couple times for me . Have any bloomer for you ? I was looking at your list it's been two months ?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks Don ! IT blooms all the time :)) Precious they said when we adopted her at 8 weeks she was part Italian Greyhound part Chiuwa ( I cant spell sorry)
She is the best !

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok Allison, I was estimating! It's bigger than my other plants from you and way, way bigger than any of my Ebay plants. I don't know if it was or if I just moved it into my sunny window- I get so confused you know, anyway it gets quite a bit of sun- not lights. I alternate my fertilizers, Optimara, Schultz's, etc, etc....You know, I can't complain, it will bloom when it blooms.

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

All plants are doing well, none have bloomed yet. I will look at them tomorrow, closely, to see if any have buds that are hiding- sometimes these AVs can be sneaky. Elle Gardner had buds on it when I got it, but apparently the shock of being exilled to Texas was too much and they did not come to fruition. Other wise all are doing well. I will have to give you a more updated report after tomorrow. I can say this, they are all very healthy, which is another tribute to the care they rec'd from you!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

It's a pretty large growing plant ! How are your leaves doing ?
I like Optimaras plant food ! I like the food for leaves, babies young plants, and the AV food for other. Sometimes I go back and fourth with them when I don't have VF-!! !

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I'm sure they will all be blooming for you soon :))

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I will have to get me one of those charitas. They look like fun. Hey Alliosn, what breed of dog is your little sweetie?

Jesse

Precious, you are so beautiful you should have a violet named after you!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks Spider ! There is An Av named Precious but not Precious Joy hopefuly. People can resrve names for years.

Haven't been here in awhile-it was so nice to see Precious's sweet face-how could that not make me smile. Thanks Precious & Allison!!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Lilburn, GA

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

She wears size 4 Toddler or XS 4-5 girls is the size T-shirt Christmas Catus got her fits perfect. And the small collar you got her was perfect kind I like too :)0 her neck is her smallest part. She weighs 25 pounds.

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Ali, by the time I got home, Irish Paradise had mostly opened. I called you to tell you that I believe you have raised a chimera, or at the very least, this flower is NOT the same as yours. BUT is a stunner none the less.

Here she is!

Fancy That came out of an old AV book :))
Oh Laurie both plants were the same leaf and Mom bloomed true but I sold her a long time ago.
By Golly you have a Chimera Yippee :))

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

do you want me to send it back? It's pretty special! and the buds look like they are going to be the same. It has about 7 different sized buds.
(not kidding about sending it back, maybe you want to grow it out 3 gen and name it and then make the big bucks on eBay?)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Ih my funny thing is I gave you that plant as it was the nicest formed more bud's, than the other :)).
Don;t you want to keep it ? Never know those Chimera blooms could get some green :)) It's incrediable ! Do you want to grow it out ?
I can't beleive my eyes Laurie !

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Well, naturally I love it because you gave it to me, but I also know how special it is and perhaps you would have held on to it if you knew it was going to sport like this (you are the Queen of Sports are you not? LOL) you let me know what you want, either way I'm happy.

The one bloom looks to be starting a basket too. (a first for me, so I'm not totally sure) but there are the two main leaves below the bloom and then another tiny bloom at the junction and two more tiny leaves. I don't know if I can get a photo or not, so tiny. lemme try.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well of course I would have kept it. lol But I had two one for you and one for me they grew up together on Mom leaf. And I gave it to you so it's yours. I just want royalties. lol I do wish you would grow it and progate like a Chimera and name it someday.
I am so excited. I just was writing bunch of fun thread on Chimeras and our electric went out. Glad it came back on but lost my thread :((

Lilburn, GA

well. that could be Precious Joy in the make!

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Here are some shots of the upcoming bloom with what looks to be extra leaves as shown by the arrows.

Can you grow it our Laurie and name it Precious Joy :)) I want to grow the other one out too
my Russian one. Maybe one could be Precious's Aunt Lali

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Cute! I'll do what ever you tell me to! LOL!
and before I go back to the house to spend time with the fam. (been gone since 7am today to go to the AVSA meeting and of course stop at a nursery on the way home)

Here's one last shot of Ali's Chimera 'Precious Joy' (I want to find the Irish Gaelic transation to this, anyone know how to speak Gaelic?)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well I'd like us both to have her :)) I'd like to see is grown out three generation my dream :)) and name it :)) It's up to you you could keep and grow out all bloom stalks, and suckers :)) and I get first baby and I will continue to grow her out too :))
Do you feel like growing it out three generations and naming it :)) It would be great if you do ! And I could have first baby to grow out. But you need to keep all the other plants until grown out three generations. As to register you have to have plants, suckers for Chimeras for sale or to give to the public. A name can be bought years in advance for a $1.00 will hold a name for two years. the $1.00 comes off the $5.00 to registered it :))
I am going to do my other Sport too :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Lorry did you see the new Sport that opened on Laurie's Irish Paradise I gave her a few weeks ago. I am so in Love. It's exciting to see different blooms. A girl on another group was saying how fun Sprots are. Can make looking and waiting on blooms even more exciting !

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh Irish paradise sport is LOVELY
Snow leopard (something else!)
Wow on Irish paradise (laurie your chimera is gorgeous)
and Allison WOW the mom is a STUNNER!

I agree :) Sporting is such an interesting thing :) It makes your heart skip a beat :)

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Allison,

What kind of dog is Precious? I'm not sure if you answered this or not. But I really would like to know. I have been thinking about getting a playmate for my sweet doggie.

Jesse

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

They said when we adopted her she was part Italian Greyhound and pat Chi ( Can't spell) Lot's of people say she looks like she has Doxie in her . She was only 8 weeks old 4 pounds little over two years ago when Hubby brought her home. She has been the best Little Girl from day one !

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Lali I'm so thrilled I've been having some fun exciting pretty Sports ! I was afraid you'd be up-set if it sported on you like it did for me . I showed Robert the two pictures you put ours side-by side and what Mom looked like and he could not beleive it ! It sure makes new blooms from plant grown by leaf exciting and fun !
All the many Chimeras were Sports and a lot of other Wonderous Sports out there. Lot's of plants were Sports and people don't even know they are. Lot's of Ma's plants and Rob's are beautiful Sports !
I was reading in an old Av nag. a lady that grew Chimeras sometimes she had one bloom stlak to work with. Sometimes she said a plant may get just " ONE" Chimera bloom the rest all normal and she had this one bloom stalk to progate the Chimera plant only. WOW exciting.
An other old one 1986 says " Isn't it exciting how many Chimeras are turning up "
Then it shows a picture of Sun Ray Trail ! I have never yet seen SunRay Trail for sale again , nor do any Vendors have it ! It also says " SunRay Trail " sported from a bi-color trailers called 'Even Star Trail'
They show ' Fancy Lace Trail' is from Granger's ' Moon Mist' as the pollen parent and ' Carol's Little Star ' as the seed parent.
" The beauty of trailer's is their ease of progation ".
" You just remover a crown and pot it up, Chimera or not, it ususally blooms true from this method. I perfer crowning out."Picture of Chimera " Katsuko"s Peral ' also !
There are lot's of articles and information in these old GSN news books !
