Alternative Compost Ingredients

Silsbee, TX(Zone 9a)

Sandy, you didn't hurt my feelings. LOL! I just don't understand why people find it amusing to dress up dead animals. It just seems like such a very strang way for someone to spend their time...dressing up a dead armadillo. It had NOTHING to do with you, my dear. =^)

I also wonder why Roy Rogers had Trigger stuffed.

Hmm,Soferdig, that pix has been lamintated and posted on my bulletin for years. Someone sent it to me about 5 years ago. There was no copyright on the one I got. Sorry about that! It does keep things in perspective though!

Falling trees are the leading cause of death for beavers afterall.

And why did I think I had to enlarge that last pix?

right there is a picture that begs the question which composts faster a log or the beaver. I think the beaver. Now what other compost ingrediants could provide for our piles. Being up here in Alaska for 2 weeks in the rain and coldmakes me without any gardening. So I would think about movies that provide compost. Like the movie when all the frogs started falling out of the sky. I can't remember the name but lots and lots of compost material.. How about the movie that Charleton Heston was in and the ants ate the jungle to the ground. There must have been a lot of ant castings laying around. Or in Transylvania where Dracula dumped all those bodies that he drank from they must have been plentyful for compost. Or just what dropped off the creature of the dark Lagoon every time he came out of the swamp. And just think about Tarzan he never had to worry about compost material with all those animals coming to his Aaaaaaayyyyaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyaaaa becon. Lots of manure in his back yard. Oh yeah how about Indiana Jones temple of doom with all the beatles, worms, snakes, cockroaches he stepped on just doing a scene. Or the shores of Newfoundland with all the bodies washing up after the Titanic. Or a Bruce Willis movie with all that blood that he dropped on the set = bloodmeal. Movies are a great source of alternative compost ingredients. Any others you guys?

Sorferdig, I don't remember seeing any mushrooms in the forests up there in Alaska. Just what are you dining on? I must say, you hit all the oldies but goodies! I guess we could add in the governor of California's movies. I am not going to try to spell Arnie's last name!

Steve I think you have been away from home and your garden much too long. Come back to where it is hot and dry. Donna

Earth to Steve?

I was just trying to keep on topic. Nobody else has any compost alternative ideas. I personally like the tarzan one the best. Just call in the nitrogen sources.
Yes Alaska has been difficult without a cessation to the constant drizzle for now over 5 days. The salmon berries are good though.

How about we take this drunken-animal party to:
