So......all you plant crazy people, what do we want? Who's going to do it??? LOL
Co-ops are back!
Yippee!!
Co-ops and the Co-op Forum are back! Woooo hoooo!!!
Hey! What's a co-op? Sounds like something from before my time.
A co-op is where one person (or a couple, whatever) secure a good/wholesale price from a vendor on a bulk amount of items. They then post the co-op and we all get to buy said plant or plants at a great price by purchasing as a group.
Sounds really great. I feel for the person who chooses to coordinate a co-op. It sort of sounds like a logistical nightmare to me but I'm game because it could be a great opportunity to get plants at really great prices. If someone chooses to do this who lives close to me, I'd volunteer to help pack orders to ship out. Delendent on the number of people who order, I could see that being a major labor of love.
They work out best if the host/hostess keeps the variety of plants and/or the number of participants lower. Most of them worked out really great and we got a lot of perennials and bulbs and daylilies for really good prices! I know I would not have gotten some of the plants had it not have been for the co-ops.
Hey Michelle.....tag, you're IT! You'd make a great hostess!!!
You are so not funny. LOL
