New Blooms What's going on in my Garden Room today !

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh e wrong colros for Petticoats ??
Victorian Petticoats (8001) 10/08/1993 (S. Sorano) Semidouble chimera medium pink frilled pansy/white stripe. Medium green, plain, ovate. Standard

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

I don't know, it was from my new friend at the AVSA meeting in San Fran. She said that was it's name. But I suspect it's the first bloom for it and it may change over time. ALSO, the mom maybe VP, and this baby just isn't blooming true. Either way I love it for the green edged petals! and the ruffled foliage.
So I'll keep her. But the other is coming your way! (wink)

I love genetic blush flowers. A dainty pink with the top two petals a little darker (photo doesn't show it well)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Wow ....My mini papa is very variegated..i wonder if it sported.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

LOVING Silver summit, Plain and fancy,
And sunray trail..wow..cant' thank Allison enough for the one she shared with me :)

Gloxinia..now those I can send you if you ever want more Laurie :) I have tons of them :) LOL...they grow great outdoors here.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well Mini Papa is variegated. I have two and both came from Bluebrids. But neighter mine show it. But chances are if I progated it the babies would be variegated. All the plants I got from Bluebird most were not variegated but the babies are. Like Ellie Gardner for one.
Mini Papa (7382) 06/04/1990 (H. Pittman) Semidouble blue. Variegated medium green, plain. Semiminiature

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Laurie your Chimera plant I looked back it does have wavy pretty foliage ! But in FC it does not. Maybe the name got mix up by mistake ? It sure it beautiful !
I don't care if I get a Sport . If it's better than the Mom could grow it out three genderations and name it :))

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

I dont think the petals really look 'chimera' but then again, it's a young baby and might get it together later as it gets older.

And yes, love the foliage, not as nice as your Georgia Melon with that FABULOUS sinus curl, but same kind of crispy wrinkly serrated edges - yum yum!

so happy to have Georgia Melon again (kiss kiss hug hug for the leaves!!)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Ah...mine came fromr ainbows and it is heavily variegated...the mini papa that is :) Very cool Allison :) Odd that bluebirds don't show variegation.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Your welcome hope you get lots of babies ! I'm sure with your new method you will ! Have you had a chance to check any of your leaves roots in perilite sense you got home ?

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Well Laurie got an Ellei Gardner from bluebrids too and her's is not variegated.
Do you have a picture of your Mini Papa ?
Maybe Bluebirds growing condition are warmer , more light different fertilizer that affect the variegation ?

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

I don't have a picture of it..but I can take one tomorrow.
It looks more lik my rosalie in its variegation but which instead of pink.
I will snap a picture tomorrow to show you

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Thanks

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Ali, I did check and have TONS with roots and babies starting. We might rent a movie tonight and I'll pot them as I watch it. Otherwise I'm going to bed early LOL!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh go to bed early get rest and do them tomorrow !

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

oh, sorry, what I meant was, the other day I said it was V. Petticoats.
then today I realized it was V. Parasol

Does FC have the sport photo? Either way it's confused as to who it is, even it's mom doesn't know it's name! LOL.

But while I was looking for Plum Parasols I find this beauty! (I get sidetracked easily) http://www.avsa.org/Photographs/PlaythingLrg.jpg#http://../Photographs/PlaythingLrg.jpg#

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

That's a beautiful Chimera ! and I'm trying to think of the name :)) Last I knew there was a five year waiting list to buy one.
Is it Plaything ?
FC does not have a picture of Plum Parasols

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

I forgot to take a picture of mini papa but will when I get home tonight Allison :)

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

Yes, it's plaything. I'd love one, look at that green!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh yes I'd love a Plaything :)) Last I heard there was like a five year wait and I think it was coming from out of the Country ? But I'm sure I can be remembering it right but there was a wait.
Plaything (S. Sorano) Single chimera white star/blue stripe, variable yellow marking. Medium green, quilted. Standard

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Laurie do you have your stnad and is it put together ? I'd love to see lot's of pictures please :))

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Midget Lilian is gorgeous as is Oink, er I mean, Pink Sensation! Just beautiful.

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Gold Spirit is wonderful.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

April did your Golden Spirit Bloom ? Mine blooming here was the smallest and last of babies though I did take a couple xuckers off of it. I love it ? So Sunny and Cheery !
Has your Golden Threads bloomed. It grows best low light or windows.

Northern California, CA(Zone 9a)

April, I have a Rob's April Storm for you! I divided mine and have like 4 babies.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I think thats a hard one to find too Laurie. Violet barn does not sell it anymore

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

Allison, Golden Spirit and Golden Threads have not bloomed, but they appear happy and healthy and what more can a mom ask for? I am a patient woman.

Oh Laurie I love you! You are so sweet. I think that I should have one of every plant w/ April in the name, don't you? After all, I went through my life being the only April for at least the 1st 25 or so years and never being able to find things w/ my name on it! (Yes I know that now it's a popular name, but back not back in the old days).

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

April do you have your's under light. I know mine go toward the end as yellow's like less light and grow slower. Your's should bloom soon !

Missouri City, TX(Zone 9a)

No I don't have them under lights. I may move them from where ever I have them and see if that makes any difference. I am just glad to have them and I know they will bloom soon because they were given such a good start in their formative years!
Will keep you posted.

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh yes lights will help ! Lights is the most important thing for blooms and growth ! Even if you put yellows at the end they'll be happy ! I sent you bigger plants at the time and kept the tiny or sucker for me and mine has not stopped blooming. It's so cool see the yellow Sunshine strips smiling at me :))

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Fount thread with wasp p;ant Gecko's Angelic Vespa I grew several by leaf and gave plants and leaves away. Great Wasp !
Also picture of Mini Pappa was always blooming in full bloom when I sent to Jesse . Jesse I don't think this plant has ever stopped blooming all the way to your home !!
