Good evening to all,

Maria, please don't worry. I'm sure that Samson will be fine and extremely happy to see you tomorrow. Who took the "dancing" pictures for you? Have your kids finally decided that he's a good addition to your life?

Dr, I'm so sorry that you and your family are going through this. There isn't much more than that I can offer, I'm afraid. Seems like everyone else has already said what can be said. I hope that Hospice is an available service for your father.

Keyi and Susan, so sorry for your loss also. At least all the pain and sickness is now over.

Mary, thanks for the tulip pictures and the update on AmandaP. Everything is still mostly brown and dead looking around here. There are some daffodils poking through, but we won't see flowers for awhile yet. Hope you're able to get a good ride in soon. At least your new team sounds very promising.

D'cat, yup, I think my schedule will likely be changing and Mondays will probably be the best time to catch me at home. DH is supposed to go in Tuesday for "orientation" and we won't know until then what his hours will be.

Woodspirit --- oh no, food poisoning? That's the pits. I hope you're recovered enough to make it through a day at work. Good luck with the job interview. Have my fingers crossed!

Lauri --- glad your son is basically okay. You both need some time to recover from this experience.

~~Waving to M5, tgif, GG, Robert, Oz, Blooms, suzieq, dmcd, sarv, 101 and pati. I'm afraid that I'm just too tired tonight to respond to everyone. We spent a fair amount of the evening after work sitting at a free clinic in town. DH has been having trouble with one of his big toes. I know that doesn't sound like much of anything, but he has rather poor circulation in his feet and I was getting a bit concerned since his toe looked kind of red and didn't seem to be getting any better. It turns out that he does indeed have an infection and he was given antibiotics, told to soak it in salt water four times a day and was given a referral to another free clinic that has a podiatrist on its roster. Never a dull moment.

That's it for me at the moment. Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep tonight with only the sweetest of dreams.

Well, I am checking somewhat earlier than usual. We have tornado watches out, and wind warnings. So I will have posted before, and if we lose power. Drat, I can tell it is spring, when the tornado season starts.

lauriewilson, that is so scary about DS. I am sure thankful that all the injuries were just bruises. Have been there, done that and have the gray hair to prove it. Several accidents before they attain adulthood!!

McCool, sorry about DH's toe. Although they are so small, compared to other body parts, they can sure be painful. Hope all goes well with the treatment.

Oz, I loved the lighthouse. Did you make it? I wish that I lived somewhere where I could see them on a regular basis.

tgif, thanks for the pic. That cheers me tonight. LOL, ladies looking for the right dress.

Mary, the tulips are so lovely. Can't wait for mine to be
blooming.

Maria, Samson, although somewhat slower will greet you just as enthustiacally when he gets home.

Bloomswithaview, those sure are sorry looking. Will they revive? I sure hope so. Maybe even if the foliage is bit, you will still have blooms.

susieq, please show us those crocus. Spring is not far off, but I am having envy here!!

Oz, I misunderstood, 6 ft wide arbor. Wow, I would have a time trying to find a place for one that large. Maybe on the path to your dock?

101, twasn't me who tried to call. But you would have "recognized" me. Settle down, DB won't notice the things that you don't get done.

GG, I often say, if someone would go to the grocery and buy it, I sure could cook it. I tend to get stuck in a rut, and buy the same things.

To anyone I didn't mention by name, please know that I have read all, and am current. ~~ Waving to M5, Sarv, PattiSchell, Where in the heck is Ernie?

I will be back later, if I continue to have power.

Hi all
Well, been one of those days today. It seems I continued to run around in circles. Started watering only to find something had been digging in my plants. Guess it was either squirrels or the neighbor cats. Shhhh, I won't talk about kitty cats here! LOL I *do* wish people wouldn't let them roam ... walk on the truck ... dig in my flowres, etc. But I *do* love kitty cats! LOL :)

Maria, sure will be glad when Samson is back. Kept thinking all day long I was gonna give you a call. Sorry! Forgive me? Like I said ... I've been going around in circles.

Defoe, I know DB isn't coming to see the house ... but you *know* how it is.

Lauriwilson, sure hope your DS will feel better tomorrow and his bruises and soreness will soon be over.

Hi McCool ... it still smells like gardenias in my office!!

Meezers~ when will you find out about the new kitty? I'm getting excited for you! It was sooo good talking to you the other day. :)

Carol~ just wanted to wave and let you know you've really been on my mind today.

Sarv~ you still enjoying your new computer? And wasn't it you offering up desserts last night? They were yummy!

Well, to all those I've missed I'm waving at you too ... but I'm going to get comfy right now. I might be back if I get the chance. Things will be hectic the next couple of days, so if I don't ... I'll check when I can.
Y
Y'all have a blessed week-end.

Hi There,

Just time to check in and say good night. Have peeked at messages a couple of times today but that is all I've had time to do. Aquatfit, freezing rain, take grandtwins to Kindermusic (probably 35 km across town to their house) then a bit of errand running. Hardly home before handbells. And I'm trying to get the rest of that Bartok Divertimento into a legible format. I found out why they did what they did (photocopy the score and cut and paste onto long sheets of paper). Apparently, the Bartok is public domain in Canada, but still under copyright in the US. Boosey and Hawkes wouldn't sell the parts for a reasonable price. So, the cut and paste job. Sometimes I have a hard time reading what I'm putting into the computer it's so bad. There is another rehearsal tomorrow; so I'm trying to get them done in time.

Susan, So sorry to hear about Ranger (did I get the name right?) Always difficult to lose a fur baby.

Lauri, the gods were with your son. So glad he's not seriously injured.

All the rest of you, may you sleep well and I'll try to get caught up tomorrow.

Ann

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

It's almost bed time here for me, "early to bed, early to rise", I'm healthy but I'm still waiting for the wealthy and wise parts.

Lauri, I'm glad your son wasn't seriously hurt. A car wreck is always a sobering experience, but probably good for his head in the long run just to realize how quickly things can happen and that God was watching over him. My kids were both in a wreck at the same time, one driving and the other a passenger, and it was indeed a scarry time for me.

Dcat, I hope your stormy weather was not too bad. Did you come through it ok?

Elaine, do you know that if you run in circles too fast you will meet yourself coming back?

My tulip picture is an inspiration and makes me wish it was already May so I could see the real thing! Winter just seems way too long. I'm glad I have the pictures. I have the computer set so it shows all my photos in a slide show at about 5 second intervals instead of some boring screen saver. I look at summer in the winter and winter in the summer. Quite refreshing.

I just heard lots of cat noise outside, opened the door and a black and white cat who has been hanging around here lately went running into the dark and my yellow kitty came running for the door with her tail all fluffed out like a bottle brush.

Today the weather cooperated and I rode Patch for about an hour and a half, didn't have any wind or anything wet falling on me! I stayed on our gravel county road, and there was no traffic at all in all the time I was on it, which is pretty normal for our road. Can we say quiet? I saw a red fox running for his life just because he saw me, they sure can run fast. If he had just stood still I might have missed seeing him at all, but of course he didn't know that. My neighbor said one ewe lambed yesterday evening and had a set of 12 and 14 pound twins. That's a big load to carry with all the birth fluids, I always think the ewe must feel a big difference after carrying all that weight around. I know I felt much lighter after my children were born and I wasn't carrying that much weight. I rode past the barn on my way down the road and again on my way back so I happened to see him when I was coming home.

See you all tomorrow, sleep well. Goodnight.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

I'm back for a minute. Keep us in you T&P tonight. Weather is getting rough. High winds (70mph) and heavy rain. Going to stay up a little longer just to see what may happen.

I have to take DM to the eye Dr. tomorrow morning, then back hopefully to tackle the spring cleaning again. I need to get all that done, so I will be guilt free when I get outside and into the gardening.

Hope all have a restful night, and sweet dreams.

Where is Darius and Molly? Exhausted?

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Really busy day today. We actually got a little rain last night, maybe 1/4 inch but so appreciated.

Took Indy in to the vet because he still hadn't 'gone' potty. They took an x-ray and said he wasn't impacted at all. But the bladder was huge and that he really needed to pee. Was worried about that so they kept him to get a urine sample. They did 'express' his anal glands, said they were very bad. Glad I wasn't there with him for that one. Ewwww

Poor little Indy is a mama's kitty. He growls hisses and is very rude to anyone else. He likes DH too but he gives him a hiss now and then also. But not me. He is my baby.

Today was the makeup appointment at the dentist at 2:00. She got me back in there at 2:15, I was already getting antsy because my PT was at 3:15. But we made it in plenty of time. Just a routine cleaning. A little worse than usual because of my not being able to do everything (flossing, etc) for at least 3 weeks when I couldn't use my right arm at all. But she said it wasn't bad.

Got to my PT session and did he work me. Started doing some elastic band exercises, and I am very sore and achy tonight in that shoulder. The vet called me as I was laying on the table getting my arm stretched and told me that Indy hadn't done anything so he was just going to let him go home. Great.

So after PT I went to get the little guy. I looked in the cage and I have never seen a more dejected, depressed animal in my life. Was laying with his head on his paws looking toward the back of the cage. I called to him and he made a feeble 'mowa'. I asked the vet if maybe since I was there he would be able to try to get the urine. He laid him out and used a needle but couldn't get anything. He (the vet) said Indy sure was different while I was there. They couldn't do anything with him earlier. He was fierce. He just laid there and looked at me the whole time while I talked to him and he didn't make a peep. Anyway, they were talking about keeping him overnight to get that sample, but then the assistant said he had actually gone in the cage, it was soaked in the newspapers underneath the plastic mat but he was able to get a tester strip in it and there was a slight amount of blood in the urine.

So now Indy is on a pill and a half of Baytril for 14 days. He isn't the easiest cat to pill, but he isn't Cali either. You have to resort to all kinds of things to pill Cali. Have you ever read the joke about pilling the cat. That's Cali. LOL

He is acting kind of odd tonight, just wants me, mowa, mowa, mowa, tries to get in my lap and then can't lay still. We'll see what he does when I go to bed. If he will lay still by my head or not.

Today was supposed to be watering the inside plants day, but I didn't even get started on it. So tomorrow I better get after it.

Oz, I want a lighthouse. LOL, maybe you can come over here and make me one???

Elaine, it wasn't me that called although I don't know how many times I have started to. LOL

Waving ~~~~~ at everyone, had to make that ~~~ for Elaine.

Maria, I'm surprised that they kept Samson over night. They usually don't do that for a neuter, just a spay, here at least. I know you will be glad to see him. He will never miss them. You did a good thing for both of you.

Bonnie,

We are here. Jeremy and I painted 2 coats on 3 sides of the house today. Darius changed out 2 exterior light fixtures, kept the sprinklers going on some of the gardens and a few other things.

The handyman was supposed to come today but got tied up on a previous job. He will come on Monday.

We had disconnected the outside lights anticipating the handyman coming today. We couldn't go without illumination for the dogs so we had to do that ourselves.

It was a long day but got a lot done. Good luck with the storms.

Carol, I am so sorry to hear of your fathers diagnosis. Please take the time now and spend as much as you can with him. You will both treasure these moments. And as the ladies said, get hospice involved as soon as possible.

Well, this hospital does, Susan, and I am very glad about it, it is one of the best around here. I do miss him a lot felt loke a lost soul today, just hope he will be happy to see me too and not cross with me.

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

He will be happy to see you, don't worry. He doesn't look like he has a 'cross' bone in his body. LOL

Susan
=^..^=

Susan, thanks for the wave!~~. That always makes me smile now. Oh, and did I tell you I found out about your kitty face? Now that's *cute* You need to figure out something good for me. I know ... either a guide dog or lighthouse! LOL Then I could go back to my first name and no one (including myself) would get me mixed up with you! LOL Anyway, thanks for the ~~~. And you are always welcomed to call me anytime.
Mary so glad you got some riding in. That sounds like what I need. I use to really be able to relax out there on our horse. Of course ... that's been a *loooong* time ago. But it was so much fun. I only know his name was Smoky and was a kind horse. :)

Well, I was up late last night, so better get in the bed tonight. I want to strip the beds, clean the bathrooms and run the vacuum again. Maria knows why I have to do that all over ... don't you Maria! If anyone wants a tan lab ... just let me know ... I'm sure there will be enough hair to build at least a 2 year old dog!!
Sweet dreams to everyone And Kooger ... special prayers are being sent your way and also to you Carol. Treasure every single minute you have. You'll look back in days and realize the smallest of things will bring you comfort. At least it does for me. Many hugs go out to you tonight.
