Oh great, but what is Filoli?

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

It's a garden south of San Francisco.

Sighhhhhhh. That place was meant for me, what happened? The knot garden is like nothing I have ever seen before, you can see the influence of stained glass design there, it is beautiful! The house, well, don't some have it a bit different? A LOT different!

Wistfully wishing I could go there, live there, be a lady of the manor...I missed my calling!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Excellent pictures. I have so many favorites! What a glorious riot of color and the fragrance must have been heavenly! What a delightful respite from the winter dulldrums!

Thank you so much for sharing them with us!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

BTW, I bookmarked the Fioli Gardens, so we can visit them the next time we go to San Francisco, which is probably this summer!

Shelburne Falls, MA(Zone 5a)

Oh, wish i could be there for a few seasons. I was there for spring stuff but so much potential for summer. I wish I had some time to post mine and then you could show the summer shots, Shirley-like our Pt. Reyes pics!

Oviedo, FL(Zone 9b)

the little daffs at Smith look like Narcissus caniculatus. Love the minis. all your other pics are great, too!

Hello MA! Thanks, martha, for your info and compliment! I used to have Hawera. Loved that cutie. Here's a small unknown I bought from Buggycrazy fall 04. I delight in them-can't wait-should be soon here. Any idea what they are?

it looks a lot like Seagull, the petals resemble seagull wings. The cup is a little pale, but they do darknen. I have come across others similar. I love this one and have found a UK supplier with rare narcissus, not on sale yet though.

there is a supplier there that has historical narcissus, on the bulb thread there's a link I think in the N pseudonarcissus thread.
