Help with Home tab

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

My home tab shows that I have 12 new updated threads that I am watching. But I do not have new posts. Then when I click on "skip to new" it only goes down a post or two. I have written this one time today and the post disappeared. Now this is what I get on my home page.

Warning: file_get_contents(/www/garden/inc/dg/text/birthday.inc) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www/garden/inc/dg_util.php on line 2009

There are 12 updated threads in your Thread Watcher.

Please help Dave. I can't even use the system at all.

Thank you.

For a few hours today we had some interestingly intermitten problems with several areas of DG. The most common message was that folks were getting a "Permission denied" message. That and all the other issues should be fixed as of this moment.

Thanks for working on it Dave. My problems are still not fixed but I trust that you are working on it and it will be soon.

I am butting in here because I can't start a new thread (neither can my daughter Magoobu) and I can't even dmail dave. Only way I can let you know is to barge in on another thread...can't start a new one. Sorry. Any suggestions???? Nancy

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Same here yes~~~ cannot start a new thread or dmail anybody to see if the problem is all over.
Also the skip to new and refreshing the page in in and out..
Sorry to barge in as well

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

No suggestions, except to let you know you're not alone - I can't reply to helpdesk messages (and of course, the site problems have triggered a barrage of "SOS" messages.)

I feel a big "CLEAN UP ON AISLE 7!!!!" coming my way as soon as Dave gets the system squared away and working properly...that's when *my* fun begins ;o)

Terry,

I wish I could send you this in real life, but for now....

THANK YOU!

Thank you Terry sorry to make your SOS's more on this end

I will be patient and wait for things to clear up and keep trying to post where I can

Again thanks

gayle, thank you for the kind thought - but my hips thank you for keeping that right wherever it is ;o)

Anne, no problem - trust me, I'm feelin' the pain with y'all - I have scads of work backing up as each minute ticks by, since there are several everyday routine tasks here that I can't do at the moment. I guess I *could* go clean a bathroom, or mop the kitchen, huh?

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok Terry,

Skip the chocolates. You deserve these ladies even more!

(And since you have to clean up the messes here, maybe someone who shall not be named should foot the bill?)

Or we could all pitch in a dollar and you could have no housework for years!!!

well now I knew I could help out!

Terry I will clean the bathroom for you and the kitchen and make the beds and get you some coffee~~~ Looks like you will have your hands full with everything else.

So sit back and I will do the house chores so you can do the Site chores LOL

Wouldn't that be the life?

But then again, I'd miss my dustbunnies...I've had one generation grow up and move out (well, okay - I moved 'em out when we switched bedrooms with our oldest son.)

I've got a new generation that are nearing toddler-stage now. (It's the funniest thing, but the vacuum just won't reach all the way under a king size bed. Guess I *could* get the dust mop....)

Ahhh, well - I really should mop the kitchen; the rain and snow we got last weekend really did number on it, and dabbing at the worst of the puddles with paper towels only goes so far.)

must be the Friday chat room, home today a little stir crazy.
I can go in to small threads and post, but that's about all :(

When did the traffic ranking box show up at the bottom of the pages? I just noticed it.

Crud, I can't do a screenshot! Look at the bottom of the page.

noticed it this morning

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

OH MG just noticed that what does that mean????

Appleton, WI(Zone 5a)

I think it is ranking our frustration

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

bigcityal

ROTFLMAO!!!

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

*snicker*

(Not a reflection on Dave, I know he is as frustrated as we are, but Al, that just was dang funny!)

beggars can't be choosers - right?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

pam, you're not alone with that problem - none of us can start a new post. Hang tight - Dave will get it fixed as soon as humanly possible.

The whole system should be working 100% right now.

if it's not, it has to be because you are looking at an old cached page that contains old errors. Try shift-refresh.

Terry, CLEAN UP ON AISLE 6!!! :) Just kidding, I'll reply to all them.

Phew! Thanks Dave

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

ok - I tried that and I still post a new thread?

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

tried it again - anyone else have success?

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Ummmm, Dave? I can't send messages through dmail, can't edit a post in this forum, and still getting the same syntax error on the PF images queue. I've refreshed multiple times and switched to another browser. I can be patient if you're still working on those things, but I wanted to make sure you knew we weren't 100% recovered quite yet.

Fairmont, WV(Zone 6a)

Um, not working for me either, posting new threads...logged out and in and shut down the internet entirely...no good...

pam

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)
