Moon Twp, PA(Zone 6a)

Hi All!! Made it to the hand specialist today. This was for the accident at work 2-2-05 when I fell on the barge roof, right onto my right hand. Workers Comp had closed my case prematurely and I could not go to the 4-6 wks of OT, twice a wk appts that dr ordered last year.

Now, faxing has started. Dr just ordered 8 wks of 2-3 times a week. He is unsure why it is still causing pain as x-rays look good. Cold weather is one of my guesses! Also, I think I may have been incorrectly doing things to get strength and mobility back. They will start, as soon as WC approves them! Spoke to head of personnel today, she said lucky to have approval by next Friday!

Babs - Wow, what a procedure for the eyes! Good luck with these new punctum plugs, hope they work out perfectly for you!! And here I am scared to get laser eye surgery, and too broke too!

2 acres Sarv?! I would be ecstatic with that!! And most more sore too!! I have only 1/6 acre! 50'x150'. Well, when I win my millions in the lottery!!! I can always hope and dream!

Susan - Sorry you cannot go to your DD's surgery! Know that you are very disappointed, but also know you need your PT... Maybe you will be doing so well that they will give you the go-ahead anyways.

Sarv - lovely wedding photo and beautiful pic of you in it too! You and Ann talking about losing 20# - I think I could lose that too!! Plus more, but 20# would be a fantastic deal!

Glad you are getting a new computer! Sort of like me, this one is working, why would I want to spend $??

Flower Child - Thanks for the brownie! You are so sweet for sharing! Tasted great with a nice big glass of very cold milk!

Hmmm prob with losing wt is that I wouldn't be able to eat all this good stuff... LOL

SuziQ - prob not your corner, since in bottom western corner, near Ohio and WV.

Sure there were more items I missed, sorry!

Big wave to all!! ~ Later, Suzi :)

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

i love getting on here, laughing at keyi's description of the sugar gliders and meezers scratching them off the list!! I gotta say, the kittens are more to my taste! LOL.
keyi~can't believe they're six months old.

babs~ I was in a rush before, wow the punctum plug thing is totally new for me. I can't imagine having permanent dryness! I hope THAT all gets fixed pronto. Ouch. Hurts to think about!

sarv~LOVED your barn picture too. I want a barn like that!! Where's the livestock??

VAnn~ I do NOT believe with your activity level that you need to lose anything!! You do more in a day than I do in a month!! You also had me chuckling with your assessment of Canadian hockey (though not as hard as when I thought you SOLD the password!!). I often *****sorry this is current events and controversial*******think some of the Americans are arrogant or poor sports. I thought Sascha Cohen was magnificent, and there are always those who make up for the spoiled ones. Stephen Colbert satirized that idea last night saying the Olympics are supposed to be that time every four years when the athletes of the world get together peacefully and lose to the Americans.

Yes Susan get out there and water real real soon. I been watering since right after christmas. I turned loose my big walking sprinkler today set on slow. It took it 12 hrs to cover less then 100 ft. That makes it about 3/4 of an inch of rain and it was just all absorbed. Now is when they are going to get caught and killed for sure if there is no water down there. Can you get Cotton burr compost out there Susan I would bet so since we get it around here. It is real course and makes a nice thing to cover up plants jumping up to fast.

Right now, it will be nice to have all 4 kittens gone for a day. With the snow having all melted away, not the backyard is just mud and yuck. Overnight, they obviously had lots of fun running around the backyard then coming in and walking on EVERYTHING they could get onto. There were muddy kitten prints all over the place. I am sure there are still some we didn't find. At least the dogs keep the muddy prints on the floor and the sofas. The cats can do bookshelves, counters, my sewing table complete with the shirt I am making for Rob, the washer & dryer, and much much more. I wondered why they didn't bother me while I was sleeping this morning. They were having too mucy fun preparing the surprise.
At least it wasn't paint.
The sugar gliders were sort of a spur of the moment thing. We got the first one, a boy, at a garage sale, where the people said he made too much noise at night. We thought that was great though, since we are up all night. Home came Pikachu. Anyone else ever hear a SG 'talk'? They screach sort of like rattlesnake/squirrel crosses. Sort of funny if you have someone touch their sleeping bag while they are in it. Anyway, Pikachu was great for us, so we found a breeder and bought a little girl. GigglyPuff. The kids were into Pokemon at the time, can you tell? If anyone wants to hear the rest of the story, let me know. I've gotta run for a bit.
Hugs, mich

Well, as you can see, I didn't make it back to post. Got the grocery shopping done, and DH came in just about the time I got home. So put away the groceries, and spent some time with him. Seems that our paths don't cross often. A neighbor came over this afternoon, she is taking care of her mother, and sometimes she just pops in for what she calls a "sanity break". I told her didn't know that sanity and Bonnie's house were compatable in the same sentence!!

Sarv, a new computer, just when you learned how to post pictures. And you look great!! Why are you always putting yourself down? Okay, now that I have seen your family, tell me which is the snotty DIL, and I want to know the which is the "good" DS. I can't begin to kick butts, unless I know which ones to kick!! LOL. Oh, the barn, I will trade you 5 acres for the barn. Just let me know when I need to come get it. Oh RATS, since that is your DH's hang out, do I have to take him too?

ViAnn, congrats on the nomination. So they think you belong in the healthy living catagory, or whatever. For $10 I won't tell them about your taking these cyber goodies, and those goodies from your open house.

M5, those drapes are awesome. If anything I made looked that good, I wouldn't mind the work, and then the re-work, etc. etc. I am sort of like MG, by the time I finish anything, I am already tired of it.

Mary, so you had a peaceful night. Great!. Now, when we don't see you for several days, we will know that there has been a lamb explosion.

Thanks, for whoever provided the brownies. I just had one, and they were great.

Oz, sorry that you are having to water this early. I watered all last summer, faithfully every day, and still lost some things.

kittymom, sorry for the extended therapy, but it IS IMPORTANT. After it all heals, you will be glad that you did it. DH has had that surgery 5 times, 2 times the Dr. recommended it, and the other 3 not. He can tell which arm had the therapy, as he has limited motion in the non therapy one. Sorry that you won't be with DD, but your health comes first. Hey I saw the SuperThrive in Walmart today.l

Maria, I am waving madly at you. How is Samson?

Laurie how do you do alfalfa tea?

Hi, Darius, FC, Susieq, and where oh where is 101. Haven't seen her today. Hope all is well.

dmc, since you specifically requested it, here is a better picture of Midnight, DGD horse.

Well off to check other forums, so will see you all in the morning. Oh, BTW, moving DMIL from hospital to rehabilitation facility tomorrow. So hope it all goes well.

keyi, I had wondered about sugar gliders, glad you explained the upkeep issue. DGD has been looking at them, and no way, am I going to take on that feeding schedule. I drives me nuts when DGD brings her hamster to spend the weekend. Why can't they make a hamster cage where the wheel doesn't squeak? I usually put her in the spare bedroom, and close the door, and you can still hear that wheel all night long. You need to get the kitties some boots for their romp in the yard.

Briar Rose, so the snoring of Ex DH was the breaking point? I can believe that. DH says I snore, but he is the first one in bed every night, how does he know?

MG, I missed the actual 12:00 noon on HH Day, but does 12:30 still count? Went out did the routine, and Mr. B, just looks very disgusted with me. He really thought something was going on.

Babs, that condition sounds very uncomfortable. Hope those plugs help. Can't help this, but you never get mad enough to spit?

While trying to post the pics, somehow the text sort of got jumbled. The last thing I said Going to check out other forums. Now how did it do that? Computers*$($*$&^@%@^

Defoe, I don't see how your husband could ever do 5 of these. I don't ever want to do another one!!!

I am kind of concerned that I have a problem with the left shoulder, but how in the heck could I have that one done and then couldn't use either arm. I use the left arm to do exercises on the right. So it would be catch 22 I guess. Can I ask why he didn't do the therapy? How could you ever get better without it?

I am still floored thinking about doing this FIVE times. sheesh

Is taht you on the horse? I miss my daily walks where I took apples and treats to the surrounding horses. I can't have one of my own, but I treat the others. LOL

Miss the sheep too, wish they hadn't sold them, but I was always mad about something they were doing or not doing in regard to their care. They left one poor ewe wrapped up in barbed wire for I swear over two weeks, with me calling daily and saying, still caught up in that stuff. Some people give me a pain.

Still feeling bad about the snail eggs. :(

Mich, I had a long cry over Ranger this evening and then went and read about Toby being killed and had to cry some more. Poor little animals, we love them so much. But they certainly return our love don't they?

I am going to start the daily for tomorrow a little early tonight. Kind of tired.

Hope tomorrow brings all good things.

Defoe, Samson is just fine a;way full of the dickens..You reallly made me chuckle about wanting Sarv's barn but afraid to have to take her husand too. just too funny, HA HA

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Naw, Maria, one DH is enough. Her DH snores, mine does too, she has to take the 2 x4 to him more often than I do mine. Why mess up a good thing?

No kittymom, that is not me on the horse. Bonnie and horse in the same sentence is not a reality. That is DGD. She is as big as I am, but not nearly as wise!!

Okay, one question, who is Mitch? Do we have another man, that I don't know of? Okay, come on fess up.

Well, I am going with DH tomorrow, to move DMIL to rehab facility. I think he just needed a "woman's touch" to help with the transfer. Hope that I will be back home soon, as I have several things to do. Need to get back to the dentist and have some wires trimmed on these braces. Ouch, they are driving me crazy!!

Oh, I forgot to tell you all, I talked with McCool this afternoon, what a sweetie she is. I looked at her web page the other night, and will be doing some early Christmas Shopping. Her jewelery is to die for. I don't know why God when distributing talents missed me completely!!. I want to do something like that, but these hands just won't take my verbal commands. We, DH, me, DTS (this is dear twin sister) and her DH are planning a trip to that area of the US this summer, and have been picking the brains of Maria and McCool, so that we will have an outstanding vacation. Trying to coordinate a mini RU with McCool and Maria. Oh what fun. Can't wait.

Well, I am really off to bed this time. Seems like I can't get my brain to shut down.

Well, I will check in, in the morning before our trip to the hospital.

Good night all, sleep the dreams of the innocent, even if we aren't.

Yukon, OK(Zone 7b)

Susan-- you take care of yourself you hear. You are one of my bestest friends and I want you all better. All your furbabies want you all better too. As for the snails, you had to do what you had to do. I mean how many snails can one person possibly have. It was for the best. Hmmm. some people eat fish eggs and crab eggs. I wonder if you can eat snail eggs. People eat snails..... Not me, but some people.....
defoe-- put vaseline on the part of the wheel where it spins. Either the 'arms' if it's wire or the spindle if it's plastic. Works like a charm.
and I'm Mich, no T, just mich short for michelle. At least I think that's what you were referring to.
