Auto-Watch on Your Own New Thread

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Dave,

I just noticed in the past couple days, the auto-watch is not engaging when I start a new thread. Did you know this? Did you want to know this?

I sent a message to admin saying the same thing. I can't start a thread. When I reply to another it says someone else posted before me and skip to new is not working either. Poor Dave.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

We noticed the Skip to New not working. It worked on the first view of a watched thread, but the thread continues to show new activity after I viewed it. When I went back to the thread, Skip to New brought me to the first post, as if it was my first time viewing it. It's happening to both Howie and me; we're both using Firefox and have tried shift+refresh.

Regarding automatically watching our own threads, I miss it too.

I tried to edit the above post and it would not take me past the preview page. Here's what I wanted to add:

I've also gotten the false message indicating someone had just posted on the thread I was replying to. It just happened now on this thread, actually.

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

skip to new not working. watched threads not erasing after being read.

Something goofy going on.
I posted a couple of posts and as soon as I hit send the red message that a post has been added and to make sure to read it came up. When I went back to the forum no messages have been posted other than mine. I tried it a couple more times and the message kept on coming up without anybody posting anything. Also, my thread watcher says that I have an updated thread no matter how many times I check it. This is happening at the Florida Forum, thread S Fl Galloping Gardeners 02/21/06. I have rebooted several times to make sure that the problem is not at this end and I still have the problem.

Another weird thing, the color in my D-mail center changed from red to green suddenly. Is Dave doing some changes right now?

And now I can't send this. I hit send and nothing happens. Hmmmm, I wonder what's going on. I've been trying for over 10 minutes to send this message and it won't let me.

I tried adding a new thread, but after a half hour of not being able to send it. I gave up. The above is the copy of the thread I tried to add.

I just got that too

For a few hours today we had some interestingly intermitten problems with several areas of DG. The most common message was that folks were getting a "Permission denied" message. That and all the other issues should be fixed as of this moment.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Kell! For you?? "Failed to open stream?"! I have seen picture proof to the contrary!

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Um, should I be able to double click the red yes on forums and change them to no? I did it on accident and then tried more and they all changed. Hmmmm...
