Good morning,

First again as I write unless someone else beats me to posting.

Just wanted to say how poetic Mary's post was in the wee hours of the morning. Have you ever considered writing a book? I bet you could.

Another cold morning here. But sunny and a bit warmer than through the weekend. We have had such a mild winter so far that we've been spoiled. But with the sun, we might be able to work a bit more of the ice off the front steps.

Wishing you all a good day.

Ann

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Morning! Brrrrrrrrright and cold again. Supposed to warm up some, but we'll see...from where it is now, anything would be welcome.

I think I'm going to have another piece of that pie for breakfast...it's the first time I've ever used brown sugar in a dutch apple pie, in the filling and in the topping. I like it. Good thing I used that pie tray underneath because it bubbled over a lot. And, no 'lainey, my butt is much much bigger and not so round!! LOL

Darius, they've been repeating some shows when the schedule is competing with the Olympics, keep a sharp eye, they might rerun that episode of Gray's, they did last week.

Ann, it always make you feel better to have a vote of confidence in the surgeon. People who work in the hospital usually know better than anyone else who is the best. DH is also a bare drive fanatic, he went out yesterday and got more of the ice off ours. I took my edging spade and helped a bit but it was hard on my shoulder, so I gave it up.

Dcat, glad there was only one upset with your DGD, might just have been too much excitement playing with her friend all day. My kids learned early on to head for the bathroom as that is the one thing I could hardly manage to clean up...give me blood and guts any day over vomit. I think if your MIL is up and about soon, it will help to keep the fluid from building up in her lungs. Aren't you glad you sent the soup and the beef for her!!

As far as the heat waves go, my DD's MIL was complaining about them twenty years ago and DD told me she said she is still having them on occasion. Sorry to relay that bit of info...not something I'm looking forward to for the rest of my life either.

9kittymom, thanks for the fireplace photos, I'll have to save them and enjoy your fire because I'm not uncovering mine until spring! And, also I meant to say thanks for doing the daily for us, I'm willing but incompetent.

MaryE, I miss seeing the aurora borealis, too many competing lights from the surrounding communities plus being a bit too far south. I grew up thinking everyone saw them in the winter, until my dad went into the service and we moved to the D.C.area. They are so beautiful. I was happy when we moved back to the Lake Superior area and I could see them again. Loved the photo of the little owl. Years back a Snowy decided to make his winter headquarters in my Aunt's barn, what a little beauty.

I used to watch Jack LaLanne too, back in the day when I made my kids watch "Fury" so I could ogle the father, played by Peter Graves (James Arness' brother, you know, Marshall Dillon). Saw LaLanne on a talk show last year, he looked amazing.

Started working on the scarf-to-be-drapes. Fabric is quite sheer, but easier to work on than I expected. I need to get different pleater hooks though, the ones I got have the hook that goes on the rods set too high. I might have to pleat them by hand, which won't be too bad as they are only 50" wide, and will only need about five pleats each. Rather not have to do that, but we'll see. Went rummaging through my big bag of sewing odds and ends but don't even have enough single hooks so it's back to the store.

Waving to everyone else, lurkers included, and off to the shower. Sammi is being a cuddle bunny this morning, he's so affectionate when he 's not whirling around like a Tasmanian Devil. He won't fit in that open ended tissue box anymore either. Have a sunny day!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I feel the same way about Mary's post, Ann, read it three times just to meake sure I did not miss a word.
Many years ago, on a warm summer night I would take my new baby out of doors to give it the two o'clock feeding while I studied the skies and its constellationsons and travel up and down the milky way on moonless nights. Today no one from this rural place can see the milky way any more, light pollution from nearby towns have overtaking it, I am sorry to say but I still look up several times before going to bed or wake up in the middle of it to see if there is a stary night.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Morning everyone. I feel like I was pulled thru a hole backwards....Didn't get my fanny outta bed until 8am - was awake earlier tho. I had the mother of all migraines last night - even thought about going to the hospital...ended up taking some meds (alot of them too), laying with an ice pack on my head and a towel over my face. DH was really upset...anything medical freaks him!! Went to bed and slept it off - thank goodness. Haven't had one as severe as that for years...ugh.

Glad to hear the lambs are arriving slowly and with good health. Mary, we love the silence of country too. Ours is becoming more populated - unfortunately...but starry skies are the best...we always make a wish on the shooting stars.

Bal, don't you walk behind the gals while they are playing cards and make comments - 'oh I would have played that card or got some good ones there' LOL How much fun - I love playing cards. When we were newly weds, we played cards every weekend- set back. There were two or three tables full, but alas, several of the couples divorced etc and the group fell apart.

Wish my DH was obcessive about the drive way - his motto is ' it will melt' - I ruined one car transmission by getting stuck in a huge drift that he didn't plow...

Well, I'm not going to the huff/puff this morning - reason being - slept in way too late, hair is sticking up sticky and straight, have a really painful crack in my heel that I need to treat - pick which excuse sounds the best!! Plus I have to take MIL for blood work after lunch...

Hello to everyone....I'll check back later after I eat something and feel more human

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Wish I felt more human today. Awakened feeling like crap. Yuck.

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Oh wow you are all very busy here ~~~ Day off from school and work for DH so will be doing some family time but will try to catch up here.

MG I like the color of your house as it is now but if you change it would you want a brighter sunny color or maybe a rich green may look very nice...

Hi everyone, been lurking and reading daily for a good month or so. Thought it would be polite to at least stop in and say Morning =o)).
I'm terrible with names but hope everyone is doing better and Sarv and Darius that you feel better i know the uck of migraines and my DH freaks too. Love reading about the lambs, I can remember those days of lambing and calving season.I miss the babies but not all the work....Have a great day all...Lauri

Lake Toxaway, NC(Zone 7a)

Years ago, here in the mountains, we got a big display of northern lights. No one knew what they were but some men at the loading docks of a tannery saw them first. The word spread through the plant and the bosses came out to see. Well, they decided it was the end of the world so they blew the tannery whistle and let all the employees go home to their families. I often wonder when they found out what the lights really were.
darius, what's wrong with you today, girl? You've worked so hard for so long at Molly's that maybe you need a day off.
I made some lemon squares last night and they came out great but too much butter and sugar. I'm going to try to find a way to modify them.
We are supposed to get maybe freezing rain, or ice, or snow or a mix...who knows? I have a meeting at 5 p.m. to go to in town and then am spending the night in town with a friend. But Tuesday evening I have to chair a meeting of our local voting precinct and alas, like last year, we are liable to be snowed in at home. I don't look forward to making 50 phone calls to cancel the meeting.

Well, another new member at the table - welcome lauri - tell us all about yourself!! And grab a brownie or a piece of pie....

Darius- wishing you better health..I know the feeling of crap....I'm better now, just a weak feeling like I want to sit in a chair all day. (or at the computer lol)

It's a little after 10am and I am still in the jammies with a nice toasty fire going. Dishes are soaking, one bed made. I've spend over an hour gazing at my new little seedlings - gosh they are taking their time this year. I'm thinking about another heat mat - the bedroom where I have them has no heat and I know their toes are chilled. Maybe that's why they are staying so small. (most are on heat tho)

GG - go to a gardening store- then you can find something to buy!!

I'm about ready to call DIL - she has the day off and is supposed to be working on her thesis. Their line is busy, so that is a good sign - hopefully she is doing some work on the computer. She loves to stay in bed all day. I told my mom about the curtain fiasco and my mom wants to send $$ for them. I told her to stay out of it!!

Time to get outta my chair for awhile....

I AM going to learn how to post pics - have one question. When I take a pic with my digital, so I need it on a special setting so it will load here - I have it on a setting that I develop pics from. I am stupid when it comes to things like this...But Maria can do it, so I know I can learn - right maria???

G

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

lol, Sarv,, yes if this dummy can learn how do so can you LOL

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Don't forget....

It's Hoodie-Hoo Day!

Is it noon yet?

mg

Morning everyone
First let me welcome our new member. Hi Lauri. Am waving franticlly at you. So nice to have you come in. Grab a cuppa and tell us about yourself, your family and your garden. :)

Sarv, If I can learn to post pics that the DH takes ... you certainly can. LOL Of course, I'm doing the *easy* part. :) All I have to do is post after he loads it to the puter. I'm clueless up to that point.

Mary, I can't even begin to tell you how your post affected me. They all do. Brings back a lot of memories, you know. Makes me think of starry nights with lightening bugs streaking around and the smell of the fresh hay stack and the dusty sweetness of the dried corn in the bin. You really should write these memories down of a time that will be so alien to your great grans. Okay, enough daydreaming!! LOL

Darius, hope the yuckies pass soon.

Kelly, so glad you're going to have a warm day for shopping. LOL Brrrrr :)

To all those I've missed ... sorry. I've got to get up from here. I hear the laundry monster calling my name!!! LOL
Hope everyone has a blessed day.

Maria- you didn't answer my question about taking pics.....I really need help!!!

Waiting until noon for the hootie hoo

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Sue, did you check your Dmail?

I sent you some answers a while ago.

mg

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

I am not an expert about that, Sarv, yes you do need a special setting glick in on google and get picasa2 , it is a google program it will tell you how to get it, hope I am right, anyone elsr with a suggestion?

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi Everyone,

I'm back from Aquafit. The ladies raised over $450 last week at their Valentine's luncheon-auction. That's just from selling our junk to each other. They presented it to me today to drop off at the Food Cupboard. Gave me a chance to sell successor the Webmail password. He'd left a message on my machine yesterday asking me to call him because he was password challenged. But he gave his phone number just once early on in the message and when I went back to listen I found he had mumbled it. Decided not to go looking for it. He made such copious notes that he obviously couldn't find anything. Ha! Ha! Why am I enjoying this?

M5 - got any of that pie left for lunch? Sounds good. Good luck with those drapes.

Sarv, sorry to hear about your migraine. In regard to the driveway, I think there should be a middle ground between your DH and mine!
The crack in the heel sounds good enough for not going to "Huff & Puff". How are you treating it?

Glad your seedlings are doing well. I won't start mine for another few weeks. If you take pics with your digital, you may want to use something on your computer to make them smaller before posting to DG or emailing them to anyone. There's a whole variety of programs which can do that, and I think there's usually one packed with Windows. Experimentation will teach you a lot. On my old computer, I have a scanner and I find that I can do a lot with pictures in my scanner software too. I also have Corel Photo House which was packed with my WordPerfect 8 years ago. It also allows me to do a lot with photos. But mostly I've learned by trial and error. Now that I have a new computer, I'll check out Picasa. It required at least Windows 2000 and I'm running 98 on this computer. Still don't have the Internet fully functional on the new computer.

Darius, sorry to hear you aren't feeling well and hope it doesn't last long.

Kelly, hope you have a good shopping excursion and don't spend too much.

Lauri - welcome. Pull up a chair and pour yourself a cup. Where in CA is Anderson?

woodspirit1, hope you don't get the freezing rain.

Hi to any lurkers and anyone whom I've not addressed.

Think I'll get lunch, practice a bit and head out to Canadian Tire to see what type of metal utensil they have that will work to remove ice from driveways.

Ann

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Sarv, you do know you have to connect camera to computer I?

Albany, OR(Zone 8a)

Sarv, Maria is kind of right tho you can just use the memory card in your camera to upload the pics. Do you have a memory card reader that goes into your computer? You can use this instead of taking the pics from the camera to the computer.
You just need a folder/file on where you want to save the pictures in. I use My Pictures in Windows XP and it is wonderful. I just tell the memory card reader to save the pictures in a folder that I created in My Pictures. Then once that is done, when you want to post a picture here on DG, just click the browse button to find the picture you want to post. Very simple once you have them in a file on your computer.
If nothing else, read the manual that came with your camera or computer on downloading/uploading digital pictures. I am old fashion and I like manuals.
Carol (DR)

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

LOL Maria - I do know that!!! I received an email from MG- she said that DG automatically resizes them - how wonderful!! I will try later this afternoon. My computer is so old that Picasso won't work on it - do you think I need a new one!!

I went out at noon and hollared hootie hoo - hope the rest of you did too!
Well, off to pick up MIL...wish me will - I never know if she will be a grump or not!

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

daidy, I have amemory card also but only use it when traveling with my laptop And Sarv, get a new computer, for goodness sakes

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Well, hello all, my record is improving today. Got here just a little after noon. Most days past has been evening. I got up, sat my butt at the desk, and worked on taxes and bill paying for 5 hours. Whoo got it all done. The taxes are ready for the preparer.

Sarv, sorry about the migraine last night. Haven't had one of those for years. And just as soon now experience them again.

Darius, hope the yuckies go away fast. Why don't you just take a day off, and lounge around? That usually fixes most everything.

About the driveway clearing. We have a gravel drive, and unless it is a great big accumulation, it is on it's own. DH has a scraper blade that he can push snow out of the way if it is really deep.

101, one of these days that laundry monster is going to rear it's ugly head, and devour one of us. Hope it's not you today.

Hello Laurie, welcome. If you have been lurking for about a month, you pretty much know us, now tell us all about yourself. Grab a cuppa and a snack, and sit back and let er fly.

Meezer, For the past couple of weeks the thermostat has been acting up. It's covers on, then covers off, sometimes sitting reading at night, have to get up and take off my robe. Sure hope this doesn't last long. Aww, Sammi snuggling this morning, how very precious.

Well, I missed the noon Hoodie Hoo. Hope someone else yelled loud enough for me.

Kelly, going shopping? Just because it's president's day? I am not going anywhere, just gonna relax this afternoon, and celebrate the completion of the paper work. How is your's coming?

Magoobu, Woodspirit, daisyruffles, and all others, Good afternoon to you all, I'm waving.

Well, they are doing the antibiotic treatment on DMIL today. They will inject the meds into her lungs via the tubes. They say that it burns really bad. So they are giving her plenty of pain meds before hand. Hope she gets through this okay. She is beginning to eat, so that is good news. The Dr. gave her a med to help with the appetite. DH will be going later this afternoon, to spend the night. So "Alone again....Naturally"

Well I will be checking back later, you all stay warm and well.

Just went back to yesterday's post and read Mary's post at 4:00 am. Mary I just loved it. Sometimes in the summer, I just go out and look at the sky, and listen to nothing, but sometimes animal sounds. It is music to my soul. I couldn't stand to live in a noisy congested city where stars were never visible, and noise all the time.

Caistor, United Kingdom(Zone 8b)

Well let's see, First I'm old, my DS told me this the other day, I'm 45. Thank you DS.He's 22 lets see if he makes it to 23. He's my only kid and my baby at 6'8". Married 24 years to the same paticent man. We live on an acre here in Anderson which is 10 miles south of Redding or 4 hours North of Sacramento. I have raised vegis boxes and 5 cold frames(all filled to the brim) flower beds that are being re-done on paper till I can get out and dig. Lawn that is going to dissappear here and there, shhhh don't tell DH. We are owned by 1 cockapoo, Gladys who has a fettish for eating japanese beetle grubs, 1 cat Rebecca or Becky, depending on what she's done in my Brug room, and a 21 yr' old Quarter Horse named Salsa.Who is another story all into him self. Did have chickens untill the racoon. Now we don't and we don't have a racoon problem any more either...Since joining here I have discovered new obsessions..1 Chat, wow love it, 2 Brugs, wow love them, 3 A.V.'s and love them too. Hard to pick just one, so I'll take them all. I think that's all but any questions just holler =o))....Lauri

Gi, Laurie, welcome to this gab fest

Okay, I'm back for a min. Got a question. I've looked it up but can't find it. Y'all *know* I'm the inquisitive one. LOL LOL What does ;~) stand for?

Hi Defoe, so good to see you before bedtime. :) Hope all goes well for the DMIL today. She's always in my prayers. Of course, I think you *know* that.

Well, so far I've done 4 loads of clothes, watered my babies cleaned the bathrooms and talked on the phone. ;) Oh oh oh, let me tell y'all what I found! My sweet peas and 4'clocks have *finally* sprouted. At least ... I'm pretty sure I see little sprouts starting. Will get the DH to check for sure. I also have some lavender sprouts which is amazing as I went outside, roughed up the soil in my pot, poured the seeds in and brushed the dirt over them. Now we'll just see if they make it.

Well, just heard the clock strike 2 and I haven't had lunch. Will go see what I can find.

hi everyone, still catching up here.

Ann~yes, our power is on, we were only out about 10 hours, There are still hundreds without power though, and those without generators are facing freezing pipes on top of the rest of it. LOL about the entertainment factor of the new FC director!!Sounds like you're "crazy busy"as usual!

mg~your posts always crack me up!! I LIKE the looks of your house, but thought like Ann, you could paint the shutters and door a dark brown. That would give you more of a woodsy look. A grayish/green (I think of it a lichen color) would be pretty with white trim. I like greens because they're such a nice backdrop for the gardens. A dark forest green with white trim might work too. I hope your kids drove winter away (watch, there was probably
only enough volume to get it as far as here LOL)

Elaine~your shelves and plants look great!! Sorry if I spilled a little cold air on you!!LOL

woodspirit~hope you don't get all that awful stuff weatherwise. I would LOVE to see the northern lights again. I remember seeing them as a kid -AWESOME!!

lauri~HI!! Pull up a chair!!

kelly~hope you have a fun day. 20 sounds pretty darn good!!!Ihope you enjoy your time with your mom

darius~take a day off, drink lots of fluids, and GET BETTER!!There's so much going around now.

m5~sorry Sammi has outgrown his tissue box LOL...Surely you'll get him a larger size????

MaryE~sounds beautiful there, just like the pictures you send....The farm we're working on is like that, very quiet. It's gotten very popular around here, always lights and noise. That quiet is just stunning. I LOVE quiet.

dcat~glad to hear DMIL seems to bet getting a little relief. I hope today's procedure goes well. Will keep up the prayers. i have hot flashes too, i think they're good when it's so cold out!! SAves on the heat bill!!

BriarRose~WHAT were you doing in Ft.Edward? You're right you're in a better climate now

Gotta run

****Waving*******hi to everyone!!

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

What did I say I was going to do?
Practice? - well, my plants are near the viola. They all got watered.
Eat lunch? That I did!
Go out to look for Ice removal equipment - nah!

Got the mail with payment for Canadian Viola Society memberships that have come in as part of the Congress registrations (Did I ever tell you I'm CVS treasurer?). Well the amounts don't add up with what's on the web site. also decided I'd better get my own registration for the Congress in - it goes up $25 next week. Well, that's done or at least sort of done. If I understand it correctly, they contact us with the final payment info. It doesn't seem to be on the web site. But I've been in touch with the treasurer in regard to the other payments; so I guess I'll get that sorted out.

Reread my post above and have to hoot where it said

Quoting:
Gave me a chance to sell successor the Webmail password.
maybe I should have tried to sell it (instead of tell) it to him. LOL

Lauri - nice country around where you live in northern CA. We had the opportunity to drive I5 through there last September after my niece's wedding in Oregon. DH's uncle and cousins live in Grass Valley and Rough and Ready.

Now on to do the things I started to do.

Ann

MG, no problem, just couldn't figure that one out! ;~) Oh, and I vote for the dark green and white trim on the house. Green's my fav color. That's the color of my kitchen, and yes ... it's trimmed out in white. It has dark blue accents. I love green and blue together.

Thanks, Maria. LOL back at you. :)

Has anyone heard from Carot lately? Been thinking about her.

ViAnn, sounds like you are sooo busy. I enjoyed the hand bell music last night. Very pretty. :)

Sarv, hope your headache is still doing better. That must shurely be horrible to suffer from migraines like that. My DSIL has them bad like that and often must go to the ER with them. Hope it's a long time before you have another.

DMC, so glad you have your electricity back. I feel so sorry for everyone that's without it. Really makes a body count their blessings. Y'all have definitely been having some aweful weather!

Well, had to have my p.m. coffee break, so if anyone's a mind, there's a fresh pot. Just help yourself.
Hugs ...

Hello everyone, it's daytime, I'm awake, dressed and in my right mind, well, awake and dressed. 2 out of 3 isn't so bad........

Welcome to Lauri who lurked (Lauri the Lurker) for a month and decided we all weren't crazy after all. Brave woman, reward yourself with all the cyber goodies you can find. 45 is NOT old! Jack LaLanne is twice that and he isn't old. Your son will get his payback from his kids, it always happens.

Thanks for the nice comments about my description of the country life. I do enjoy writing but wouldn't attempt to write a book, then it would be work, and there are too many starving would be authors out there now.

VAnn, you could have had some instant cash if you had held out on the password. We all miss those golden opportunities. I'm glad you are enjoying watching him squirm a bit because you told him he needed to do all these things in a timely manner and it seems that would include knowing a password! Probably he is one of those people who always had somebody there to get him out of hot water and has never learned that it won't always happen, so don't be too quick to come to his rescue.

Bread pudding sounds good, it will be ready in a couple of hours, the bread needs to soak a while before I bake it. Meanwhile, I will water plants in the house and the greenhouse.

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

grrrr, I'm frustrated. I decided that I would learn how to post a pic. Went to the frequently asked questions, then the test, and mg even tried to help me.

Well downloaded my pics from my camera to the computer, picked the one I wanted to test and hit preview. I waited over 20 min and nothing happened -the round ball thing just kept going around and around. I have tried it over and over... My camera is set to take pics so I can develop print them out - is that the problem. Oh crapppp - this is so frustrating!!

My afternoon was taking MIL to the hospital for blood work. She told me that DH doesn't do any work at the shop....here we go again!! I told her she was wrong - he did most of the work!! She said, 'well I know bettter!" I gritted my teeth and just drove on......Oh she freezes my a** (excuse me...I'm mad, can ya tell!) I've been deep breathing and deep breathing....I wish I didn't react so when she says things like that....Took her to Hobby Lobby and Kohls (she had never been there before) I cannot tell ya what a downer she is.....vent is over

Well, DH made dinner, so I will go eat some (chicken and mushy veggies!!) LOL

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

I crack you up huh Floss? Wonder how I did that this time, lol.

Hi everyone,

A special "Hi" to Lauri, the new person. No fair just lurking any more --- now we'll all want to hear from you now and again.

Darius and sarv, sorry you both started out the day feeling crummy. Sarv, have you tried using Feverfew as a preventative? I count myself as very lucky to have never experienced a migrain (sinus headache was quite bad enough), but one of my SILs gets them bad enough and often enough that she has to inject herself. Yuck!

Woodspirit, loved your Northern Lights story! I had to read it aloud to DH. I've always wanted to see them, but never have.

Mary, I too enjoyed your description of the starry sky and the hush of the night. We can see some of the stars here on clear nights, but we're close enough to a good sized city that we do get a lot of light pollution.

I got quite a few candles made yesterday and also managed to burn myself slightly again. I've decided that it just doesn't do to try to pour candles without setting the glasses on a solid tray first. My hands often shake a bit more than I'd like and picking up a glass full of 300 degree gel wax gets somewhat problematic.

Didn't get a whole lot accomplished today as we decided to go to Home Depot and BJ's. I picked up some seed starting mix, Perlite, and peat pots so that I can get going with some of my salvaged seeds. Time to dig out the heat mats, etc.

Vann, good luck with all your music and with your FC successor. Maybe you should suggest that he start a penalty jar and put in a certain amount every time you have to bail him out --- proceeds to be donated to the FC, of course.

101, love your grow light stand! It looks really nice and should help you to produce some nice healthy plants.

I brewed another quart of extra strong chamomile tea yesterday and DH helped me this morning to douse my rosemary plant again. Maybe this time it will be more effective. I guess I shouldn't worry too much because it survived quite nicely last winter despite the powdery mildew, but I'm afraid to get too complacent and lose the whole plant.

Oops! I just realized that I forgot to welcome BriarRose. Please forgive the oversight! Glad you dropped in.

Hi to Maria, Magoobu, MG, dmcd, d'cat (hope that procedure isn't too harrowing for your poor MIL), GG, Susan, Carol, and anyone else I've managed to skip (Sorry!) I've really got to get away from this machine and start dealing with supper preparations. I wouldn't be surprised to see that several people have posted in the time it's taken me to write this (especially since I had to stop in the middle and get the phone, then was surrounded by the four-footed family members who demanded their supper immediately, if not sooner). Night all!

MaryE, post the bread pudding recipe? I haven't made any in ages, nor rice pudding. The starry sky silence sounds lovely, we "almost" have it here 20+ miles from town.

Laurie, Welcome!

Others, I didn't name.... just know I read the posts but run out of "personal" memory to respond, LOL.
