Coffee and....For Thursday, February 16, 2006 =^..^=
Happy Birthday MG!!!!!
Been up since 4:30 and can't wait any longer for Sarv to come in for coffee, so I am sipping alone.
Taking advantage of our warm spell now, we'll be doing some fine tuning out in the yard. We need to haul up some more pine needles to cover some bare ground in the front yard, sowing some flower seeds and watering plants that are thirsty.
We got to leave all the young plants outside last night. It does get to be a chore bringing them in and out all the time. Next year maybe we will have a greenhouse of sorts.
Baby steps.
Molly
:^)))
Molly, I'm here - just had to leave the computer off as I expected a call to watch DGS - bad weather etc. However our trusty weather gal was wrong again! So what's new!! All the ice/snow that was supposed to shut us down, didn't arrive - just rain...Oh well
Another birthday - Hope it's a good one MG!!
Molly, I've always wanted lights- I didn't pay attention - are yours solar? That's what I want although I have not heard good things about them - something about them being real weak. Our neighbor has his pool ringed with the plug in ones and they look so inviting. Doesn't wrong pricing just drive you crazy. I try pay attention, but often get the shaft. We have a law in Mich that you get 5x the amount of the error back...But you always have to demand it - they never offer it. Sometimes just going back and standing in line isn't worth the effort!
DR - good for you getting $$ back. We never do. In fact usually have to pay. We have to go short form as we have no deductions etc. Guess that is a good thing tho.
Defoe - praying that DIL will be painfree and comfortable...my heart still goes out to her.
I met with a bunch of friends for dinner last night - they are still teaching and grumbling about it - a lot of fighting going on and new principal not stopping it - he's the kind of guy that wants everyone to love him. Had a seafood pizza. Tiny little thing, but great flavor. I brought a piece home and asked DH if he wanted it - he said -yuck -no thanks. So I woke up this morning thinking - yum- pizza for breakfast. Looked high and low and it was gone. Put me in a foul mood already!! But at least I am headache free....
Anybody see that new dog movie that's out? Looks good. May have to take DGS to see it this weekend.
Time to watch the Today program
Good Morning Sarv, glad to hear you didn't get that bad weather. Yes, the lights are solar and so is the pond fountain.
The solar lights collect power from the sun all day. After dark they go on and glow all night. I think, if you don't expect too much from these lights, you won't be disappointed. I don't believe they were ever intended to illuminate like a regular light bulb, but more to be a path marker. That is exactly why I bought them. After they have had sun all day and they glow tonight, I shall take a picture and show ya.
The pond fountain gets direct power from the sun. It doesn't store power so only works when the sun is shining.
Time for chat.
Molly
:^)))
Good morning,
Haven't had breakfast yet and need to be quick to get to aqufit on time.
Defoe, following your suggestions re MIL.
Happy birthday to MG. Hope you have a great day.
We are expecting WEATHER today. What kind remains to be seen. We may be on the edge between snow and rain - possibly resulting in freezing rain. Hope not. DH wants to bring grandtwins over here after Kindermusik this afternoon.
Gotta get going. Have a good day everyone.
Ann
Those look like ours Molly, except ours are black. They shed enough light for walking paths, but not for reading!
Be patient, Sue, more snow coming. We only got a couple inches last night but I heard the plows out this morning, and the weather prevaricators, I mean predictors, are saying there is more on the way. I better check to see if I've got enough washer fluid before I hit the road this morning. Who stole your breakfast pizza? Shame on them! Ever try the Red Baron Breakfast Pizzas? They have all kinds, 3 minutes in the micro and breakfast is ready. Some of the other frozen breakfast stuff is icky but I like those. Oh, and by the way, I found those milk chocolate covered Oreos at Target yesterday...I was VERY good and only ate three. I saw the 50% off candy too but I passed that up and got cookies instead.
Happy Birthday Morning Gayle I hope you have a wonderful day! Are you getting a dinner out or doing something special to celebrate?
Ellaine, get a massage!! All the masseurs aren't guys! It's just so nice to be pampered. I need to get a manicure, just to get my cuticles trimmed, there's not enough nail to bother with polish. Cold weather is hard on them. I should get a pedicure too but there's not point wasting all that glamour in the winter....LOL
I laid in bed for a while this morning trying to finish a book, but since I have a meeting to get to, and the traffic will be a mess, I need to get myself into the shower. TTYL
Sheila
Awwww, why is it when you clean house you *always* make a mess? I decided to make another pot of coffee as I was a good girl and got up with the DH this morning so I'd already had my 2 cups ... but hey ... who's counting. LOL Anyway, back to my mess. I was measuring out the coffee beans, and wouldn't you know it ... I spilled them *everywhere! Had to clean them up. Got side tracked and didn't check the coffee pot. DH didn't finish his coffee so I made mine in the left over. Yuck! I *hate* that. Okay, rant over. :)
Meezers, the massage does sound like a real treat. Maybe I'll get brave enough to ask the DH to give me a gift certificate for one sometimes. I use to get my nails done, but kept them so messed up it just wasn't worth the $$ to keep doing it. I chop them off in the kitchen and keep them dirty, so just keep them short. Don't like polish anyway. I'm too ticklish on my feet for a pedicure, so guess I'm just hopeless. LOL
Ann, Aquafit sounds fun, though. I do love the water. Do you exercise or just swim laps? I really don't know.
Mary, how was your night? Did you get any sleep?
Sarv, am glad your headache is gone. Sure know how you felt. I had a whopper of one on Tuesday. That's just miserable. So sorry your pizza went missing. You want the 2X4? Hope you had something equally as unusual to substitute. LOL LOL Just giving you a hard time. :)
Well, I've got the dog bed covers in the wash today. Figured we had clean sheets, so I'd wash hers. It's gonna be a nice day. Hope everyone has a good one. I see where some of y'all are going to have some bad weather. Stay warm and dry if possible.
... Elaine
Happy Birthday MG!!
Have been reading along, but not posting much the last few days. Trying to get ahead at work since I'm taking tomorrow off. Going to a garden show. If I remember the camera, I will post pictures.
Molly - I'd love to see pictures of the lights at night. I've been thinking about solar lights for a few spots in my yard. The ones DM got were very dull. I didn't know you could get a solar fountain for a pond. That would be awesome.. Where did you find it?
Sarv - I've seen previews for the movie, The Shaggy Dog?, with Tim Allen? If thats the one, it look really funny.
See ya later!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MG! Hope you have a great day!
Carol (DR)
Elaine,
Aquafit is exercises in water. Two basic types - deep and shallow water. shallow has a bit of load bearing, though the water takes some of it. People with joint pains often do better with deep. In deep, you wear a flotation belt around your waist. Basic movements include cross-country ski movements, jogging, skating, and a whole variety of other things. In deep water, you have to use core muscles a lot for control. I've been doing 1 shallow water and 2 deep water classes each week, but am in a state of flux because I can now go on Wednesdays and Fridays since I'm retired. However, don't like either of the Friday instructors. The jury is still out about Wednesdays since I had to go to a meeting yesterday. I used to swim lengths on a regular basis twice a week - 40 laps up and down until I had a freak shoulder injury a few days before 9-11. The shoulder will never be the same, though it has come around that it doesn't get in the way for the viola playing much. But I can't do that amount of swimming. In the Aquafit, if it starts to hurt, I just lay off using it.
Ann
Well so far my birthday has been....interesting, I guess is a good word, lol. We have had snow, thundersnow, hail, freezing rain, more snow and now an ice storm. And the third wave of deep snow is supposed to hit this afternoon. And school is cancelled obviously. Wonder who I ticked off this bad?
But I got to spend my morning drinking my coffee and in my favorite place...CHAT! LMBO The kids slept in and I got 4 whole hours uninterrupted! Now *that's* a gift!
Thanks you all for the birthday wishes! Makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!

MG - think posivitive - All this stuff happening on your birthday is to get it *all* over with and from here on you will have SPRING!
Happy Birthday!
MG- you were in chat a long time today!! LOL We've had the same weather - as I type it is thundering and lightning - then pouring rain and some of it freezing. Absolutely crazy.... Friend in Indiana just emailed me that she saw a Robin in her yard today...crazy bird...
I just planted, two kinds of daturas, poor man's weatherglass, blue wave petunias, and some columbine. Hope I have good luck germinating them!
It is only a little after one and I am ready to get my jammies on....dark day outside.
Went to the huf/puff and I was the only one there. I only did 1/2 hr instead of an hour today = but worked hard and it is done....
Suz. the movie is about some sled dogs - the previews have been on TV here.
Just called my DIL - their school was cancelled (she teaches) Anyhow it was 11:30 and I woke her up!! I don't believe even as a teenager I slept that late!
Need to do a bit of pic up before DH gets home!! LOL
Home again after driving in this miserable stuff. It was raining really hard when I left, started snowing huge clumps of wet sticky snow that dropped about two inches in just a short time, heard thunder, then icey sleet, and none of the roads were cleared, what a mess. The Xway was lumpy, with icy chunks frozen to the pavement between other areas where it was salted making pothole like cavities, bumpity bumpity bump the whole ten miles. Yuck! Putting on a pot of chili and not leaving the house until it all goes away.
Elaine, I'm throwing my white tennies in the washer, they are washable and boy do they need it. Summertime I just set them out in the sun to dry but they'll have to sit by a heat vent for a day or so now.
Ann I wish there was a place nearby to do Aquafit here, it would be ideal for me as my ankles and knees can't take the stress of the treadmill and it's sitting in the basement collecting dust. There is a Curves a short way up the road, but I can't do that. When I first got the treadmill in 95, I used it every day, and charted my miles to see if I could do the distance from LA to NY. I got to Texas.....then my knees went....
Need to find something for lunch, waving HI at everyone as I head towards the kitchen......
Sheila
Oh man Darius- that is gorgeous!! Will it withstand the heat/sun down there? We have them up here and I may try them this spring!! I thought they needed shade. We are having sleet, rain, thunder, lightning, all at the same time - it is wild!! I'm enjoying your nice weather thru you!!
M5 - crappy weather your way too huh! Our roads were just wet, but wait until they freeze - how do you say 'skating rink!' How come you can't do curves? On the things that you are supposed to run, I just do waist twists (and my waist has shrunk...) I go 4x a week - just to get my fanny moving. I tend to be a real couch potato...
Hi All,
Just another quick check in,,,,didn't get time to get back in here last night,,,hopefully this afternoon.
sarv,,,,um,,,,,you may want to rephrase that massage by woman thing,,,,,ROFLMBO
TTFN
Kelly
Hello everyone. Happy Birthday Mg, Interesting variety of weather you are getting, but like somebody said, maybe this will be all of winter and you'll be getting spring right away. The rest of you midwesterners aren't having such lovely weather either. Sorry, no trades today, I like mine better.
AmandaPanda is home again, she was sure glad to get home and rode all the way (20 miles) on my lap with the purr and the front feet going. She played a bit with her ball after she got home, gently and in slow motion, wandered around to make sure the house was ok and is now taking a nap.
On my first trip to the barn/pasture last night I brought in a set of twins. Momma is a 2yr old, nervous but she followed the cart with her lambs to the barn and was cooperative. Nothing else happening so it was back to bed for a couple of hours and back to the barn at 1am, no new babies on that trip. The 4 wheeler wouldn't start so I walked the pasture carrying the plastic lamb carriers but didn't need them. The sheep are calmer with the 4 wheeler putt-putting slowly than with a person on foot so it was hard to get a good look at a distance. Basically I shine the flashlite beam on the hind ends and if nothing looks shiney (wet) that is good. So I came back home and got a good night's sleep. In an hour or so I'll go help give vaccinations and put in ear tags. There are 8 ewes and a dozen or so lambs in the barn now. Paul, the owner, brought in 3 or 4 this morning around daylight. He checked at 3, 5 and 8am. Feeding them hay is done in the afternoon so that they fill up and lay down and don't move around much at night and so most of the lambs are born during daylight hours.
My back and pelvis has popped a few times and I think the adjustments aren't holding well. It's been out of place for a long time so will take another appointment (or 2 or 3) to get me fixed. I tend to put things off, you know, ignore it and it will go away. Well, it didn't go away, and probably if I had gone to get realligned sooner it wouldn't be taking extra visits now. Actually it's been better since the last time I took a tumble off a horse but I don't want another random adjustment.
Beautiful fern, Darius. I used to have a nice big one I named Frondsy (inspired by Fonzy on that tv show Happy Days) when we lived on the wet side of the mountains, but when we moved to low humidity it suffered and I sent the poor thing home with somebody who was visiting from over there. Unfortunately, she looked at it and it died.
I'd better accomplish something here in the housework department. Have a great day everyone.
Happy Birthday again MG =o))) Hope it's getting better and the nasty weather has left...Chat at ya soon....Lauri
Hi All,
Happy Birthday mg.
O.K.,,,,Finally have time to answer those questions. Sorry this is going to be so long.
Disclaimer: I don’t condone doing your own color,,,,,,, Any and all info given is for personal use only,,,,If you do your color yourself and it turns out bad,,,,don’t be blamin' me,,,,I can’t *see* your hair,,,,,, With that being out of the way,,,,roflol,,,here goes,,,,
dmc,
tsk, tsk,,,,shame on you,,,,LOL Get that color done. Even if you decide to do it at home while doing other things,,,,git r done,,,,,,,yes, you would be a good candidate for the semi-permanent color,,,, That way,,,you just mush it on all of your hair,,,set a timer then shampoo it out, easy peasy. HATE to tell people to do their color at home,,,but if you’re really pressed for time it would be better to do it at home while doing something else than to have the outgrowth 2 toned effect. If you do start doing it, it will have an effect on the already colored hair depending on what shade and tone you use
M5,
I really don’t know all that much about store products,,,I just don’t pay attention. IF you want to have a hi-lited look without coloring and then hi-liting,,,,semi-permanent color would do that,,,,,go a few shades lighter than your natural color,,,,semi-permanent color will Not lighten hair,,,,,it will only deposit color,,,so, if you go a few shades lighter,,,you can always go a shade darker the next time ,,,you will just tone down your gray without having to worry about your natural color,,,,use a natural when choosing a shade,,,don’t use Ash or Gold. Any color you use will affect what you already have in your hair,,,that’s why I would suggest going lighter,,,,as going lighter will not darken the natural or colored hair. Be careful though,,,,colored hair is more porous than virgin hair.
Sarv,
Unfortunately,,,like I said to M5,,,I don’t pay attention to the store products,,,I guess I prolly should cause I have customers that color their own hair and come in for cuts,,,sometimes they just can’t afford to have it colored. If you like what you are using,,,stick with it,,,if not, try a different product,,,and remember,,,more expensive doesn’t Always mean better,,,in most cases it does, but not always.
Babs,
I have customers like you are with your hairdresser. I have to Thank God that I have been very blessed and about 99% are Wonderful customers. There are a lot that have been coming to me since I started the Salon 14 years ago. It makes me feel good to know they are happy with the way I do their hair and that they like me as a friend. Some of my customers I even schedule more time for because I Know we are going to start yapping and laughing and it will take me longer than usual to get their hair done. Your braid looks very nice. I like when it’s a little looser at the bottom than when it’s tight to the head at the nape. Love your color and the shine to your hair! The story about your Mom was just too funny.
pati,
Anesthetic is released out of your body through your hair,,,,,,for that matter,,,,most things (vitamins, supplements, meds of any kind) are released out of your body through your hair. Anesthetic can do some funky things to your hair,,,LOL Glad you don’t have to color anymore.
Well, I’ve taken up enough space,,,I’m going to try and catch up on today’s thread.
Kelly
HI all! Tried posting at lunch and my dang computer threw me off the internet. Didn't have a chance to ge back here until now.
Sarv - I've seen the previews for that movie as well. I love any animal movies. Let me know how you like it.
Molly - I'm very interested in seeing how your lights look at night. I have been thinking about some for a few spots in my yard. DM got some really cheapies and they are very dull. I like the look of yours. Also impressed witht he solar pond fountain. Never thougth of that as an option. Maybe I can do a pond after all. Now you've got me thinking, always a dangerous thing, LOL.
Darius - What a beautiful fern.
To those of you with the bad icy/snowy weather, sorry, but please don't send it this way. Our big snow from last week is melting very quickly since its been in the 50's. Now everything is mud, yuk! The weekend is supposed to turn cold again. Sat & Sun in the 30's. When will spring be here to stay!
Only 10 minutes left of work, then a 4 day weekend. Taking tomorrow of to go to a flower show. Have Monday off for Presidents Day.
Gotta go shut stuff down and lock up. See ya later!
I wish we had every drop of that weather. Was so bad yeaterday I could smell the rain and never got one drop. Same thing today. Kittymom is about 200 miles SW of me and I do not think she got any either. This is a long running drought. Going to start killing off the hardwoods in the hills they claim. I will be out there again next week as soon as the weather warms into the 40s with my rain train. I do not have the one called RAIN TRAIN. They are not very good at all. I have a big National traveling sprinker weighs 32 lbs. But does that thing ever put down water. About 1 1/2 inch on a slow pass. My wife did not like paying so much for one but now she is real glad we got the best.
We are getting crazy weather here. It was 60 degrees today and is supposed to drop down to 30 tonight, so we are getting a storm right now. Thunder, lightning, and lots of rain. Mother nature is really confused!!!
Would you believe that on top of the freezing rain, thunder, lightning etc, the county below us (and several east and west) have tornado watches out!! Is that crazy or what!!
GG - thanks for all the hair tips. I never can remember what product I use for the highlighting. I do use the nioxin shampoo and rinse which cost an arm and a leg!!! I keep waiting for the new hair growth...sure is slow... But the texture of my hair is better so I will continue to use it..
I have such a tightness in my chest tonight. My lungs fill up so easily and it feels like that is happening. I just popped another allergy tab to stop all the gunk from draining down. Sheesh, I would like the sun to shine and the air to warm up tomorrow!!
Oz - wish I could send you some of our rain - it has just poured on and off all day long. And if it freezes like it is supposed to, our driveway will be a virtual skating rink! It is fascinating to watch the lightning reflect off the snow.
Well DH is snoring away - time for me to get into my candy stash and have a couple of pieces!! If he knew they were there, he'd pig them down in no time!
Sarv... the fern has been moved to the copse of live oak trees where it will be in the shade. I've had several that I've overwintered inside but have decided it's not worth it. Too cheap for replacements.
Oh Sarv, do be careful and watch that tightness.
Suzie,
I tried photos at dusk and at dark. The dark ones were useless. So here's one at dusk. By the pond. We put more plants by the pond today. Some umbrella plants, white fountain, muhley grass and some iris.
We are having company Saturday afternoon so tomorrow we'll be doing the final bits of pine needles, picking up recycles, taking things to the landfill and cleaning house too. Cleaning house....oh no!!!!!
Better go post some photos of the new gates in the other thread.
Molly
:^)))
Hi! happy Birthday AGAIN mg!!!
wow, thundersnow, that's special!:o} I guess by tomorrow all that stuff will have moved here, thanks for the heads up all you sufferers to the west. I just brought in more firewood, and no I didn't lock myself outside in my pjs this time.
Molly~enjoying all your pics, your gardens are shaping up fast. So pretty!!
Darius~Beautiful fern, it looks perfect on the arbor...it can't stay there? Are you enjoying the sound system? That is such a cool idea.
Oz~amazing you didn't manage to get any weather. i hate when the trees start getting damaged, and worse, the threat of wildfires.
sarv~yes, do be careful with that chest. Do you use an expectorant? do you have inhalers?
Kelly~thanks for the advice. i know I know, and I do like my hairdresser...i will get an appt. next week. It's supposed to be cold and nasty, so I won't mind sitting in a warm place getting "done". I need a cut too. I just have no ideas, so i do nothing!! I am the world's most unstylish person.
Mary~sounds like a busy time!!I hope your back and pelvis hold up. I hate popping joints myself!! I'm glad AmandPanda is home and happy and that she was satisfied with the way you kept everything up in her absence! LOL
M5~horrible driving!! Glad you got back in one piece. LOL about treading to Texas before the knees gave out!No Sammi fix today?
elaine~Glad someone is having nice weather!! Enjoy it for all of us!!
Ann ~ wish we had aquafit too, I get so stiff and achey in winter. Sounds like a good way to keep moving
We were supposed to have 40 something degrees here - went up to work on the farmhouse and it was 25 when I got there and 20 when i left. not fun. The neighbor is busy working on it though!!Pretty cool to watch.
Hi suzieq, 9kitty, dr,FC, Lauri, tgif,*****Waves********
they just put out a brush fire this morning burnt 600 ac in the county south of me. we been short on rain for a couple of years. They are not sure how this one got going. We have had fire bugs in the past and caught them. Bet that was half of the problem in Okla also.
It doesn't take much when it's that dry, a cigarette, a careless spark, a bored kid....
Hi There,
Tried to get on earlier and I couldn't to DG. Anyone know why? Anyway, I gave up, went to watch Olympic coverage and finish sewing afghan together. Now all I have to do is crochet an edge around it. Am hoping the yarn I have left is enough to go all the way around.
Bedtime, no time for more comments. They will have to wait until tomorrow.
Good night all,
Ann
I don't think I have had this many people send me birthday greetings since I was in grade school, lol! I am just full of warm fuzzy feelings.
Unbelievable weather, wonderful friends and double layer brownies baked by dh and Jenna. Yup, certainly a birthday I won't forget any time soon.
Thank you all for sharing it with me!!!
:~)
mg
Sorry to take so long, but happy birthday MG!!
Well DD still hasn't passed the dang stone. Has a doctor's appointment tomorrow, maybe he can do something. She went to the health food store today and got some things they recommended for the problem. I hope something works soon. She is getting more stresssed out missing things at school than the stone. She went to one hour of her three hour class today before she had to come back home because of the pain.
Our weather was awful today, no rain though. We started out at 65, I sat in the swing and petted kitties and then about noon, the wind changed and it was 35 when we left for PT at 3pm. Now the wind is blowing a gale and it is 25.
Not as bad as you northern people though. Of course at this point, I would welcome that since it would be moisture.
I will go start the daily cause I am tired and think I will go to bed and listen to the wind blow.
Susan
=^..^=
Well, hello all, I have been MIA today, but finally got a minute to check in. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MG, since it is before 12:00 it doesn't have to be a belated wish.
Gosh, extremes in weather. It was high 50's here today, but have tornado watches out, turning colder and the winds are howling. Have had some rain, not much, but colder weather, the weather person is predicting snow beginning tomorrow and all weekend.
Mary your descriptions of the "lambing" is bringing back childhood memories. Please keep us posted, as I find this so amazing. Glad Amanda Panda is home, and has approved your upkeep during her absence.
Darius, what a pretty fern. I just don't have much luck with them. I am sure that it has to do with the climate, but I am not the best fern mommie around either.
Molly, love the lights. I have the solar powered ones in the annual beds by the sidewalk. I also have a solar powered address sign by the road. Looks like a rock, but has a panel that is lighted where the numbers are displayed. When this county went with the 911 addresses, mandated that addresses must be visible. This is a lot better than a mail box, (as ours got torn down 3 times last year).
Sarv, good for you doing the huff and puff. Sorry you didn't have any workout buddys, but it will keep you in shape.
VA, I started an Aquafit class 2 years ago, but ended up with more aches and pains than I could see benefits. I admit, I didn't give it much of a chance, as I didn't particularly like the instructor, plus had to drive 15 miles to get there. I am lobbying for a pool this year, so maybe I will do my own aquafit.
Talked to a lady last night, and she has a greenhouse, the hoop kind, that is for sale. I want one so bad, so maybe, in DH's absence Iwill buy it, and hire someone to put it up for me. Sounds risky doesn't it.
Oz, sorry for your continued drought situation. How is it affecting the lake water levels?
101 you seem to be the only one with decent weather, oh I guess Molly and Darius qualify too. Please send us some of that warm sunshine. I am so glad that Kota will have a nice clean bed tonight.
dmc, glad that you got your wood, and didn't end up outside in the jammies.
Meezer, sounds like the driving was horrible. Hope that the weather stabilizes soon.
Flowerchild Hi. waving hello to you.
GG, thanks for the professional advice about hair coloring. I am trying a new approach, had my hair highlighted, a very light blond, hoping that it will help blend in with the gray. However, DM says "I wish you would do something else with your hair". She isn't bashful about giving comments. I came right home and called and made an appointment for next week, to get a haircut only.
susieq, waving Hi to you.
Sarv, did you find out who ate your pizza? With only the 2 of you in the house, I think I have it figured out. Did you do anything with that clematis? I started some columbine about a week ago, and they haven't sprouted. Have you done this before? How long does it take? I started my pepper seeds tonight. I started 5 varieties, so will wait to see what they do. I have everything set up in the garage to start my tomato seeds, probably about the 1st of March.
Well, to update on the DMIL saga. They inserted a chest tube in each lung yesterday. Plus today, they did a lung biopsy, to see if there is any kind of bacteria that may be causing problems. She was very uncomfortable last night DH said. Bless his heart, he is absolutely worn out. He will be going back on Saturday morning, spending the day and night, so I am hoping that he can have a good restful day tomorrow.
I went to the dentist today. I am 58 years old, and have my first braces!! They have hurt some, but it (so far) is not as painful as I thought. I have a tooth, 2nd from the stomach tooth on left bottom that has always been very crooked, tilts in to the bottom of my mouth. It is right next to the tooth that I had to have a root canal on. Then when part of it broke off, had to extract 1/2 of that tooth. The plan is to straighten the crooked tooth, and then to crown both that tooth and the 1/2 tooth together to provide strength to the 1/2 tooth. The dentist says that this will take about 3-4 months. The brackets are on the stomach tooth, and extend to the back of the left lower side of mouth. I asked DH tonight if, when we are out eating if he would pay attention, and let me know if I get something stuck on those brackets. How embarrasing, to smile and have something stuck to your teeth!!. I will try not to eat any spinach or something gross like that.
Well, I am going to check out some other forums before I go to bed. I DO NO HAVE TO GO ANYWHERE TOMORROW, and plan to do some housework.
I may be back, but if not, everybody have a restful, peaceful night.
The daily is up at
http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/576949/
if anybody wants to mark it.
Night all,
Susan
=^..^=
Dcat, columbine seeds take a bit of time for me. So give it some more time and they should come up.
Carol
Thank you both!
Susan, please mention Lithotripsy to your DD, it really saved me from suffering needlessly, and I think she has been thru enough. :-(
The schools have already announced a 2 hour delay for tomorrow so I took my regular meds and a half dose extra a bit ago and I'm going to try to actually sleep 8.5 whole hours! I haven't done that for so long, lol, I wonder if my bladder will allow it?
Pleasant dreams everyone!
mg (who doesn't feel any older...)
