Coffee and...For Wednesday, February 15, 2006
I can't beleive it! am I really the first to post today? Where is everyone. Hope you all had a nice Valentines Day.
Defoe - So so sorry to hear about MIL. Hard to believe she is back in the hosp. already. Will still keep you all in my prayers. It has got to be so frustrating for you. (((defoe)))
Susan - hope DD passes that stone quickly. Sis has had them and they are very painful.
Mary - hope you can send in pictures of the little lambs. I pass a farm on my way to work that has about 6 sheep. I love watching for the lambs in spring. so so cute.
Will try to get back later, but if today was like yesterday, wont get a chance. to all I have missed, have a great day and know that I am thinking about you all.
Suzie,
I forgot Dave was bringing the site down for about a half hour from 6-6:30, unless he overslept. I think he overslept cause it was down from around 7:30 or so.
I was up at 4:30, tried to go back to sleep and got up at 5:30. Almost fell asleep in chat, no offense to anyone there, I have just been so tired lately, so went to bed by 8:30. I try not to go to bed too early because I end up waking up in the middle of the night thinking it's time to get up.
I woke up last night at 10:30, dogs had to go out. They both headed to the front door to get on their cable leads. Welp, the fence is done in the backyard and there is no cable in the front now. I had to herd them round to the back door. Baby is so old, she can't hear, now I think her memory is going, she wanted out the front door again this morning. Have to get them re-conditioned for going out back now.
Mary, seems like just last week you went through this lambing process. And why are they having them in the dead of winter? I thought nature did it's thing to allow for spring birthing?
Can you tell I am not a farm girl? But I am trying........we have some warm weather coming up here and the fence is done so will get my sugar snap starts planted out on the fence line. It will make it easy for them to climb. There will be some other veggies to get out too. Can't wait for production!!!!!
Molly
:^)))
Good Morning everyone. Not much to catch up on this morning. Thanks for the thoughts susieq, this is just a continuation of the harried lifestyle we have been living with the last 2 months. Geesh, that sounded selfish. I am sure that it is much harder for DMIL, but DH and I are frazzled going back and forth. Hope nothing else happens, it may be that "straw that"....
Well I am ready to head out for my appointment and DM appointment. Will check in when I get back.
Everyone have a great productive day.
Morning Everyone!
Molly, I was wondering what was going on with you in chat last night. I hope you aren't overdoing it! Yeah, I worry too much, lol.
Dave said the site would be down from 615 to 630 CST, but he ran a bit later than that. He said what it was that he did, but I don't think he was speaking English, lol.
We broke records here yesterday, we had a high of 57*! Now tonight we are supposed to get a snow storm and they are saying it will dump 6-12 inches on us. Then Friday and Saturday it's gonna get cold, the lows are supposed to be below zero. Weirdest weather I have ever seen. La Nina supposedly, but it's never done this to us before.
Well, I guess I'd better get to the store. Econofoods has milk 99 cents for a half gallon, so I'll probably get 10. We seem to drink alot of milk, lol.
You all have a great day!
mg
I must have missed the announcement about DG being out of commission this morning, got the dreaded Page Not Available and nearly panicked! I might have had to resort to dusting or something equally horrible if I couldn't get into the garden!
Babs, your mother is a delight to all of us! She's reached the age where she can speak her mind or voice her opinion without any hesitation....happened to both my step mom and my birth mom, and I always got a chuckle out of seeing a side of them that had been tucked away. Tell her your garden friends enjoy her as you do.
Mary, lambs already! Inspiring puns and making us want a photo again. We enjoyed the one you posted last year (a year already!) but it looks like it will mean long nights and irregular hours for you. Loved the teddy bear story, Sammi is ignoring the big bear now, since it didn't fight back, it wasn't much of a challenge.
Molly, Snowy looks like a happy pup! Room to run in the new puppy park! Your weather is just as erratic as ours, supposed to get snow on Wednesday night and I'm thinking, why now? It's too late to blanket my poor plants, so let's just forget it and have Spring.
Sarv, I have to tell you the massage was wonderful. He (a very cute tall dark and handsome young man) was personable and thorough, for the half hour you just get the upper body, and he did my back, neck, shoulders, arms, a bit of a scalp massage and a short facial. Used an oil that had ylang ylang, citronella, and lavender, and I didn't even bother to wash it off. With my dry skin, I need all the grease I can get! The salon part of the school is staffed with professionals, not students, and is beautifully decorated, piped in music, scented air, all designed for maximum comfort. I'll do that again. DH's massages all come with a price.....LOL Seems the man just can't focus.
Oh, Dcat, I'm so sorry your MIL is back in the hospital, that poor dear, she must be so disappointed and discouraged to have had such a short visit home. She is in our thoughts daily, as you can tell. I've done that card thing....let's see, this year it will be three times. I found a nice one and it wasn't near Valentine's Day, so I put it away. In a safe place. Couldn't find it. Repeat that three times, couldn't find it that year, the next year....or this year. I did get other cards though, we usually give each other two or three...one from the cats, etc. you know that kind of foolishness. Probably find it next week, and put it away so I can't find it again next year.
McCool, Milk UGH. Didn't like it as a child. still don't like it. Doesn't taste good to me unless it's cooked in a sauce, or pudding, or soup. Wonder if we might be a tad lactose intolerant? I remember as a child putting off drinking the required glass until the end of the meal and then I would hold my nose and drink it all down at once. However, I don't feel that way about cheese, ice cream, whipped cream, etc. Go figure. Funny cat story, imagine if you woke up with a big bear face staring at you! Sammi is ignoring the bear now, and concentrating on throwing all the pencils pens, loose paper, etc. off my desk. He's getting very good at climbing up onto taller things, and looks very proud of himself for it.
Carol, I wish you lots of luck finding extra funding. College is so expensive, and a lot of the financial programs are quickly drained. Gov't funding has been cut drastically the last few years, so it's harder and harder to scrape up grants and tuition from the usual sources. I hope you son can find another interest to focus on to help with his disappointment about not wrestling. It wouldn't have been so bad if he weren't so good at it.
Susan, be patient, you'll be better when you get through all the therapy and don't push yourself and end up backsliding. I hope your DD gets that stone out soon, I can't believe she is going back to do labs!! There is such a thing as being too dedicated! Gee, wonder where she gets that impatience from??
Hi to Elaine, Maria, Okus (where IS she, and Bal and Ernie?)Kooger, MG, Darius, Betsy, Blooms, Woodspirit, Happy, Flowerchild. Waving byebye as I go off to find some housework to neglect!!
Maybe I'll smack the laundry monster for a bit, and tackle some sewing I've been putting off....Have a sunny day! It's as gray as scrub water here....
Sheila
Good morning. Yawn. Our power was out during the night and so when I woke up the clock was blinking and I had no idea what time it was. I can hear the wind blowing and the thermometer reads 15. Paul probably had a long night with the sheep, and I bet I have lamb duty tonight.
Molly, I'm sorry you aren't sleeping well. If you are feeling tired you are just an incubator waiting for a bug to take up residence, so be carefull. Although the major part of the flu season has passed there are still other invisable monsters lurking. To answer your question about the timing of the lambs, well, if we just let nature take it's course the rams would be in with the flock all year and the lambs would have started coming a couple of months ago. Here's the deal. Sheep are seasonal breeders, there are times of the year when they don't cycle, then about late August they start, it has something to do with the days getting shorter. In the south it's different timing. If they were bred then they would have had the lambs a month or so ago (5 mo gestation). They are a bit early this year but only by 10 days or so. We have to get the lambs to market size while there is still grass available for them. We don't have grass all year, nothing much until about mid to late April and by late summer it is gone because of no more irrigation water. Meanwhile, the lambs get born, their moms are eating hay and making milk. The lambs will nibble on the hay but they will be ready to really start eating when the grass is available. Part of these are marketed as grass fed organic lambs, the rest go to a feed lot like everybody else's.
This morning I'm taking AmandaPanda to get spayed and myself to the chiropractor. Gotta run. Back later.
Just a quick note for now --- I realized that I'd never answered Bonnie's question about "Slim" the cat. We don't know how much he weighs (and we probably don't want to!) To quote my mother when she got a glimpse of him from the rear "Ohmygawd, he looks like a blimp!" She's worried that the vet is going to chew her up one side and down the other when she brings Slim in for his annual check-up. There's a lot of fur there, but there's plenty of cat underneath it too.
M5, my sentiments exactly about the moo juice. I do suspect a bit of lactose intolerance. My mother said it was no trouble at all to wean me --- didn't like the stuff even then and was apparently "colicky" all the time too. I still remember being forced to drink milk in grammar school (probably kindergarten). They had no refrigeration so the stench of the stuff was double, nearly made me gag. Mom started sending me to school with "Flav'rstraws". Anybody else remember those? Saccharin and fake strawberry or chocolate flavoring --- almost as bad as the milk itself.
Hmmm, short note indeed. I'd better get moving. I have things to do, candles to make. If I don't stop now, I'll be writing a novelette again. See you later!
Hi Everyone,
Explains above why I couldn't get on this morning. Actually, I got to my DG home page, and thereafter, the "connection was refused". Wish they could send a message that says "page is temporarily unavailable" so you don't wonder WHY you were refused. Anyway, I could access other sites; so I figured it was a problem with DG. but today I had an 8:30 am Christmas Exchange follow-up meeting for the FC. Didn't make sense for successor to be the only one there as we had finished with referrals by the time he started working with us. He WAS supposed to go too, but went to the FC early and got stuck trying to enter clients files quickly so that a volunteer could do the next stage of data entry and he ended up being about 45 minutes late to the meeting. He says that he recognizes the importance of doing the clients files in a timely manner but these files were from last Friday. Give me a break! Oh well, he obviously has to learn the hard way and still requires me to bail him out occasionally. Since the vol. was at the FC and that particular computer is not accessible when we are open for food (12-2 today), I stopped by there on my way back so that the next stage could be finished. I had planned to come home, get lunch and go back as an interviewer. But they were able to manage with the interviewers they had; so I stayed, working on some statistical items and came home for lunch.
I read everything yesterday, but never did get back to comment between 5 violin/viola students and watching some of the Olympics.
Babs, great braid. Your hair looks really thick.
Molly/Darius - I was intrigued by the speakers in the pump house.
Susan, thanks for the report on your daughter. I sure hope the stone passes quickly.
Defoe, thinking of your MIL. She's gone through an awful lot.
marye- fascinating hearing about your lambs.
That's all I can remember off hand. DG still seems very slow to me today; so I won't try to go back to yesterday to take another look.
Since I have the afternoon at home rather than a short time this morning, I'll take advantage of that time now.
Ann
Hi All,
Just a quick check in while I'm eating lunch,,,,read all of the posts yesterday,,,I'll be back later to comment.
Kelly
I've posted twice today - two chatty things and neither would go thru, so I am not going to write much until I see what happens!!
Read everything tho!!
Ahhhhha, it worked!! Phew.....I was getting worried that the computer was deciding to croak!!
M5 - you had a MALE give you a massage!! I only want females doing me. I'm afraid the male would take a peek and die laughing LOL LOL Bet it felt good tho. You are right about DH doing massages- there always is a price involved - hardly worth it...
I woke up with a blaring headache again - three days in a row....I think that nasty weather forecast may be coming true. On the noon news they were telling people to stock up on batteries, get their radios out and have extra food - they are expecting major power outages. However....our weather forecasters have a less than stellar reputation for being accurate. (I did go to the store tho!!) We're all set. I am going to make up a batch of chili that we can reheat on the woodstove if need be and have extra bottled water handy.
Defoe- gosh I feel so bad for your MIL - the poor dear - hope things settle down for her and she can find some peace and good health.
Mary, I laugh about you and the lambs (and the U joke!) I've been singing "mary had a little lamb, little lamb etc" all day long. Hope they all arrive and are healthy!
Speaking of milk - UGH- never drink it. But do love cheese, ice cream, yogurt tho! DH will take a glass of drink it like it was a big glass of wine - yuck. I may drink a little glass after an oreo tho, but haven't bought any in months. You know I just cannot leave them alone!! At the grocery store I did buy three bags of valentine candy and hid them in the freezer- peppermint patties, peanut butter cups, and snickers!! They were 50% off- how could I pass them by!!
Well, I want to hop in the shower and get clean just in case the power goes out and I can't do it tomorrow morn. Gosh Maria, I am jealous of you with your generator - DH never did get his butt around to getting us one!!
Hey , where are Ernie and Bal????
Hey everyone
DH gave me yummy truffles (dark chocolate) last night along with a latte because he said we had celebrated early and didn't want me to not have anything for Valentine's day. He's such a sweet heart.
DG has been very slow for me today, also. I too missed that it was going to be down, but it didn't matter to me. Wasn't around that early. LOL
Sarv, LOL at Mary had a little lamb! Hope your weather isn't too nasty. Will sure be thinking about you. Good idea to go ahead and get prepared. You got plenty of oreos to see you through?
Meezers, a massage. Have never had one, but it does sound so lovely. I think I'd be too shy to try it, though. LOL The DH can't do it worth beans. Shhhh, y'all don't tell him I said that, though. He'll stop doing the little bit he does when I get those nasty back aches. He *does* try. No comment on the pay back. ;)
Hi Kelly am waving at you.
Susan, so glad to hear your DD's kidney stone is on the move. She is sure spunky going on with her schedule like that. .
Defoe, please know I'm sending many prayers to your DMIL.
Maria, I hope you and Samson are okay today and it's just DG being slow that's kept you from posting.
Mary, I wasn't aware of that about the lambs either. Guess I thought they came in the spring also. Keep us informed on how many babies there are.
Ann, awh, bailing out your successor again? Wonder how many times you'll have to do that before he learns to stand on his own 2 feet? Will probably have to fall on his face (or something else) before he learns. LOL LOLL
Well, think I'll post before something happens and this goes poof. If I missed you please know it wasn't intentional.
Hugs all way round.
... Elaine
Well, DD made it four hours before shehad to come home again. Back to the big paid meds. Poor thing! I sure wish this thing would get a move on.
Went to Walmart today, it is such a gorgeous day and tomorrow is supposed to be nicer. Then the bottom falls out they say. As I've heard before, the weather forecasters don't know squat.
Why is DG slow anyway??? I have to click on whatever I want three times before it will do anything.
I thought he 'fixed' everything., LOL
Susan
=^..^=
Wow! I've been gone a couple of days and I didn't miss too terribly much. Where has everybody been? I though it would take me hours to go back thru everything and read all the posts, but it didn't take near the time I thought.
Hi to everybody that has been on. I hope everybody had a good Valentine's day. My DH made dinner last night and we now have a house full of chocolate, so I'm going to gain about 20 pounds, but it's so good!!!
We had a town council meeting last night, so had to spend V day at that instead of with DH, and then he had to go to work afterwards, so we didn't get to spend too much time together. The meeting was disappointing because we were trying to get another computer in the office so I don't have to use the town clerk's computer when I need to do something, but they didn't apprve it, so we still have to share.
Susan- Your poor DD! I've never had a stone, but I get UTIs alot, and I know they are awful. I hope it passes soon.
Mary- Get some pics of the lambs. I can't wait to see. They are the cutest little things (except for cats of course!)
Sorry, everybody else. I can't remember all the other stuff I wanted to say as I was reading thru what was posted the past couple of days. When I read it I thought of plenty to add, and now that I'm typing it's all gone out of my head. I guess that qualifies as a blonde moment or maybe i'm just getting old : ) LOL (I'm only 28 so I don't think that's it!)
Maybe it's just the kids.
Hi everyone. Crunch, pop, chunch. Yep, my pelvis was crooked, tipped downward on one side and up on the other. And several places all the way up to my neck were also a bit out of place as a result of the crooked pelvis and probably other things, like those hard landings when the horses have given me flying lessons. The chiropractor said some people feel nothing after a treatment, some have mild discomfort and others feel like they have been run over by a truck. I'm in the middle category at this point. I have some muscles stretching and others contracting to keep me in line. On Friday or Monday I need to call and let him know how I'm feeling and probably schedule another appointment. Meanwhile, I'm not supposed to twist. Oh boy, not easy at lambing time. I think I'll get that vibrating heat mat out of the box and lay on it for a while in the recliner while I watch the Olympics.
On my way home I stopped by the barn to see what is new. The ewe I fooled yesterday using the other ewe's lamb for bait to get her into the barn has one of her own now. I looked in the pen and she stomped her foot at me. Good momma, protecting her baby. Now we need some twins, lots of twins! The owner called and left a message while I was gone, he recalculated the lambing date and guess what, he was off by a few days! The sheep were right on time. The first lamb, the one born yesterday afternoon, is a blackfaced female. Momma is white faced. Baby has spots on her ears. You'll see pictures, but first I have to remember to take the camera.
It's cold and windy today with snow forecast for tomorrow. Oh boy, just what we don't need with lambs being born. Calves are due soon too, I don't know when the first ones are due. They'll do better with the cold weather than the lambs, much difference in the body mass and the hair coat.
Oh one more animal thing. Last week several cows were taken to the livestock auction. One of them was the one who had jumped out of the corral, well, she also jumped out of the stockyard corral and they had to retrieve her from down the road a ways, so they've had to feed her for a week and she will be sold tomorrow if she doesn't jump out again.
M5, looking for some housework to neglect! I try not to look for it, I wait for it to find me. A good avoidance tactic is to sit very still. Closed eyes help too.
Milk drinker here, always have been! I drank a big glass while I was reading all the posts above. I'm sure that is why I have had no broken bones when getting off horses too fast all these years. Milk and lots of sunshine, a good combination. Of course if I had a problem with lactose intolerance I would have to take calcium citrate pills.
Babs, your mother is so funny. All these things she has been observing and thinking about all these years are finally making an appearance. I emagine you were a bit surprised at first.
Elaine, you must be feeling better. Ummm, somebody else had a bug a couple of days ago, who was it? Anyhow, you know who you are and I hope you are over it now.
Dcat, how is your MIL today?
We couldn't get a reservation for dinner last night, so I threw together some leftovers and we didn't starve. Might go for the Valentines Day(after) dinner tonight and miss the crowd. After calling all 3 good places (the ones with the dinner menu we prefered) and having them all booked until after 8:30 if not completely full, I just said "nope not gonna happen tonight", and went to check the sheep and feed the horses before it got dark. There aren't very many nice places in our local area but I emagine in any town the nice restaurants would have the same thing on Valentines.
I think I will go sneak past some housework. I've got a good excuse to avoid the broom, the vacuum cleaner and the mop! Why didn't I think of this sooner...?
Just reading again. Need to make dinner - there's a Food Cupboard Board meeting tonight. I DID join the Board once I was no longer an employee. It's also an effective way to keep tabs on successor. LOL
Just have to comment about the massages. There's a difference between feel-good massage and therapeutic massage. The latter often hurts, but it has done more to keep my shoulders and elbows functioning than anything else including physio.
Ann
Just a quick note for GG, when you get time to post remember our questions about hair!!
I took myself to see Nanny McPhee today, very cute movie, you can take your grands, or anybody definitely a PG but darling kid actors, and an implausible plot, kind of Mary Poppins on steroids.
Of course it 's going to snow, I have a meeting to attend at the Park office tomorrow for our league schedule for this season. Bleahhhh.
Mary~LOL on the horses giving you flying lessons!! That's one to remember. I guess you just haven't quite worked out the landings???
I couldn't get on today a couple times when I tried, and then got busy. I did two jumping lessons this week, today was really a challenge with a big stupid backhoe digging right outside and a dumptruck beeping, I didn't want to go hurtling over the jumps with a spooky horse, but I did the jumps, learned a lot, and did NOT get a flying lesson, thank you God and very good horse!!
I ended up falling asleep again this afternoon, and it was a beautiful day, so I'm mad at myself. I don't know if it's the tail end of the cold, the interminable allergies (I'm allergic to the horse, drat it all), or the wake and funeral from Sun and Mon that have knocked me out.
I was feeling pretty down after all that.
Now I have to run to the grocery store. Our awful weather is supposed to start up Friday, and then the subzero on the weekend.
Defoecat~continued prayers for DMIL
Sounds like most of us had nice Valentines Days. Bye for now ***waving*****for all those I'm not addressing personally (dont' take it personally)
Hey, all. I had to get back on and let you all know because I got really excited and had to share with somebody. I got on the website for one of our local nurseries and there's a picture of my family and a seperate picture of my DD!! I don't know how to make a hyperlink, but the website is www.barkleyfarms.com To get to our picture go to ornamental grass blast on the left side of the page. Then click on grass blast pictures. Scroll down a little past halfway to scarecrow decorating contest winners and we are the McFall family. We won funniest, most traditional, and the next pic down is my DD with our other winner, best use of plant material. I was just excited because I didn't know it was on there, so I had to let everybody know. This happened last September.
edited to say I guess I do know how to add a hyperlink. It was just there once it posted! I'm learning : )
This message was edited Feb 15, 2006 6:23 PM
Great, FlowerChild!
The best part is the award we got for the contest. Each win was for $50 gift certificate for the nursery, so I have $150 worth of gift certificates to spend on plants this spring. And all I spent to make the scarecrows was $3 for the cost of the pumpkin.
Whoopee, FC!
It was a beautiful day today! Our cold spell seems to be over. Jeremy and Darius worked on getting the gates built to the fence and they are finished.
I went to Williston to return some extra stuff to the building supply and picked up some other needed things. Seems the gate hinges I bought last week, which were wrong, they charged me $12 for 3 of them, the 4th was marked at $5.87. That's what I thought I had paid. It was a large purchase so oddities got washed in the deal. Anyway, with my returns minus what I bought, I got back $49. What a nice surprise!
The 24 solar yard lights I bought came in today. We spread some around the gardens and down the driveway. They were only out of the box at 4:00 and by dark, they were lit. So cool!!!!! I want to buy some more. That driveway is pretty long.
I'm pretty excited. Good weather predicted for a while. The night is lovely.
Molly
:^)))
Lamb count is up again, 4 ewes in the barn now, not sure how many lambs. We went out for dinner and just got back when Paul called and asked me to check the sheep twice tonight, so I'm gonna try to get a bit of sleep before the first go-round. We are in for 3 very cold nights, hopefully the ewes will decide to wait for warmer weather.
Molly, the solar lights sound neat. Take a picture for us.
Well, thought I'd better come over to see what's been going on before I turn in.
Mary, sure hope all goes well for you tonight.
Molly, your place is beginning to sound like a show place. Wow, solar lights and a musical pump house! LOL What next?
Flower, that's really great about the gift certificates. Bet you won't have any trouble spending it, right?
Well, I managed to vacuum the house, change the sheets, clean the bathrooms, dust and mop along with having a wonderful chat with Defoe and even managed to plant some sweet peas and 4 o'clocks. Think I'm going to get my bath and get comfy now. To those that aren't feeling well or have ill family members ... please know I'm sending prayers. To those I've missed ... it certainly wasn't intentional. Take care and have a wonderful night's sleep. Oh, and Mary ... don't go a counting sheep in your sleep tonight! LOL LOL
... Elaine
Pretty quiet today - is everyone waiting till after I go to bed?
FC - congratulations. I tried to see your pictures, but they downloaded too slowly for my old system. Haven't yet got the high speed Internet on the new computer. Congrats also on figuring out the hyperlink. Pretty easy isn't it?
Molly - glad the lights came.
Mary, hope you get some sleep and aren't up all night with the lambing.
Hope you all have a good night.
Ann
Yes, Molly, would love to see the long driveway lite up.
They have the sheep barn here over at OSU, Mary, and the kids love to go there this time of the year.
Sheila, thanks for the note about my son's college scholarship funding. Time will tell if he gets any good money.
Well, today was a good day, mostly.
Woke up to like 20 degrees after it being so nice yesterday. Wow, I couldn't believe the switch in temp.
Tomorrow it is to get to 18 and then to 4 degrees on Friday! Unreal for here in Oregon. So had to bring in some potted plants to my baby greenhouse, like the newly planted hardy gardenia.
Worked outside this afternoon at work down in the field making plot maps of the grass seedlings. It was so nice to be out in the warm sunshine.
Then in the middle of the afternoon, I went up to the Senior Center where they have free tax help and e-filing. So got mine and my younger son's taxes totally done and filed electronically today!!! Yipppeeee, all done. Am so glad. I had used the free online TurboTax to check the numbers and they were right so......
So am getting some money back and I can now pay my property taxes in the fall, LOL with it.
Havent' gotten money back for years but with the kids and the education deduction this year, it sure helped. I will be hurting when the kids leave me, hehe.
Came home after work and lugged around to the backyard 32 5-gal pots filled of very heavy soil from work to the newly build retaining wall. The dirt is free so can't complain tho it was such hard work. My son was at work so..... It was just me today.
Soon that retaining wall will be ready for plants like my honeysuckle and of course, dahlias.
Well, off to watch some tv which I never usually do but my legs and back are killing me
so nite all,
Carol (DR)
Edited to say hope Dcat's MIL is better today!!!

Have a restful and healing night.

=^..^=
Well, another day that I have read all posts, but just do not have the energy to reply to all. It was a hectic day, and hope it will be an uneventful night.
Had a chiro appointment this morning. I don't have any adverse reactions to it, just feels better. Then on to Louisville, to take DM to have her hearing aids cleaned, checked and adjusted. Then she wanted to stop and have lunch, so with me looking at my watch the whole time, had a good lunch. Home, where I had a good chat with 101, and then sister called and talked to her. Made a hair appointment for next week and DM an eye appointment for middle of March. She wanted to "just stop by eye Dr. today" as she said it would save a trip, and one more patient wouldn't hurt. LOL, relayed that to the receptionist when I called, and she said you wouldn't believe the number of people who just walk in wanting to see the Dr. She laughed about it, as she has an aunt about the same age as DM, and she thinks the same way. Back when things were simplier. Had really intended to get everything set up to be able to start seeds in about 2 weeks, but that went by the way side. Went to Bible Study tonight, and then on to buy a PowerBall ticket. I think I need to tell you, I DIDN"T WIN!! Just think of all the things 300 million would buy.
DH has called twice today, and they inserted the chest tubes this morning, has very little drainage on one side, but lots on the other. Bless her heart, DH says that she is in pain, uncomfortable, because she can't really get in a comfortable position, and then was sick after supper. Please, all of you who believe in prayer, please pray that God's will be done in this situation. We have been selfishly praying for healing, but that might not be the right thing. So whatever God's will in her life is, that is what I am praying right now.
Well, I have enjoyed your U stories Mary, keep us posted. Kittymom, and DD, hope all gets better for you, to others who have aches and pains, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I am cheering those who are triumphing,(molly, darius and Jeremy) and wondering where Okus, Bal, Ernie and other MIA'S are.
Well, I am off to bed as I have a long painful dentist appointment tomorrow.
Sleep well, my friends.
