Buds on my Ric Rac Cactus! Can Spring be far away?

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Here is a pic of some of my Epi oxy's blooming. Gita, lots of people grow them in pots and bring them inside to the house or greenhouse for the winter. They don't need to be outside all year round and shouldn't be in areas that freeze. Mine usually bloom around mid-July and again in September. I just fertilize them with MiracleGro or whatever I happen to have on hand. They get it when everything else in my garden gets it -- about once every few weeks in the spring and summer.

Clare,

Those are really beautiful! How long do the blooms last?

Something is going weirdo with my screen! All the posts in this Forum are soooooooooooo long, I have to scroll over and back to see all the writing. What has happened????

I have been to the "properties" setting on my desktop and moved the marker over, but it did not change anything.
By now, I can't even see the right margin of this post. it is gone somewhere in the frame of the monitor.
Can anyone help me to put this back so it just fits my screen???? It would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Gita

Sometimes you have to reboot when you make changes before they will take effect.

Gita, I have no idea why that is happening. The screen looks normal to me.

The blooms of Epiphyllum oxypetalum last only for one night and fade in the morning light.

To everyone-------------I have no more rooted Ric-Rac cuttings available.

All gone! I hope all of you that got one will be happy with the plant and enjoy many years of pleasure out of it.

I was given my ric rac cactus a month and a half ago on March 15th. When it was given to me it had these two green buds on it and I was so excited because I was really hoping I would get to see it flower. Then I left for vacation at the beginning of April and returned at the end of April. I was sure I would miss them flowering. But here it is May 4th and they haven't changed at all. They are still green and waxy and I'm worried that it might not bloom after all. It sits in my dining room with most of its light coming from an east window, but some light coming from the south window in the living room. (We have a small apartment). I live in Wyoming and so until end of May or beginning of June I don't feel safe leaving it outside overnight because temps can still drop below freezing, but I could put it outside on our balcony for more light if I need to during the day. Help me help her be happy!
