Thank you.
Babies everywhere!
well they don't call them cyclamen mites for nothing!!
great pics Lorry - they all seem very happy! On average, how long from the time you put down the leaves until you see ears?
Did you want a baby of the jalapeno Kenton? If so I will see what I can do :)
Bob are you saying the mites like cyclamen for a reason?
I would say about 8 weeks Anita but it is hard to say for certain.
Each leaf seems to be different!
And some of my larger babies were from suckers.

Thanks Christmas...It looks like I will have PLENTY to go around come spring..so send me a wishlist through Dmail. I am setting up my trade primer now with what people want!
I won't make an guarantees but I will send what I can to the people who want them!
Raingazer..from what I have heard..the cyclamen like it cooler then Avs...also it says they are prone to rot if you water from the top and the center..it rots the tuber.
I am not sure if that helps any :)
Oh Lorry, I forgot completely about Private Dancer and it's not on my wish list! I've been drooling over that one! If they're not all spoken for I'd LOVE one! We'll try to come up with something special I have to trade you for it. :o)
It should be plenty cool enough where I have the cyclamen, and I've watered it either from the bottom or only around the sides. I'm still working with it, though.
I will put it on your trade tracker I have going I have 3 plantlets so I am sure one will make it and be on it's way to you :)
Lorry Sweet Sam is a trailer supose to have more crowns ! I thought I sent you a small Orchid Girl ??
Lorry,
Loved the pictures of all your babies. You and Allison are always so generous, but I don't remember seeing a list of what you want. Is there one?? How about a list of what Allison wants, too? Seems only fair if you guys are so willing to share.
Sharon
They were not crowns Allison :) they were seperate plantlets..I didn't need to cut into them to get them :) they had a very seperate stem :)
The orchid girl was also several plantlets with seperate stems :)
Stownes
I posted a wishlist a while back on another thread but I am working up a new one to post :) I should have it up in a day or two :) Looking through to see what it is I really want!
But I do LOVE anything girl foliage and ANYTHING variegated! that much you can be sure of!
Silly Lorry Trailers frow like that. When ever I end someone a trailer I like it to be trailing ! I have trailer so full you could make dozens of plants out of it ! Well I like my trailers really full. and bushy ! Next time I send you a trailer should I make it look a regular plant ?
See this one it has grown so much sens I pit it into a 5 inch pot ! Now for it to bloom :))
Angel Tears Trail (6126) 01/22/1986 (C. Sotkiewicz) Double white frilled/pink fantasy. Medium green, pointed, quilted. Standard trailer
I'll take another picture soon maybe give it bloom booster ;p;
You haveto see this trailer I will take a new Picture . I have many of her. Rught now she has 4 times more blooms and grown so much she's going into a 5 inch pan pot soon !
Christmas Catus I have a blooming one for you too ! I love her @ Laurie do you still have your's ?
Aly's Rosy Baby (Droege) Semidouble rose. Dark pointed. Miniature trailer (User Database)
Aly's Rosy Baby (Droege) Semidouble rose. Dark pointed. Miniature trailer (User Database)
Here she is a few days ago I cropped it out of a group picture.. she seems to bloom and grow everyday in good ole natural light ! i'll get more pictures soon and put her in a pan pot :)) I want to grow some trailers like on Violet Barn ! Big ! full bushy
lots of crowns = more flowers I hope !
She's in the middle !
LOL..Ah Allison :) You forget I am a newbie to all of this! LOL>>I thought they were supposed to have suckers :)
Ah well..live and learn!
I love the pan pots too! And I will have to use it for trailers also :) I have not thought of that!
Aly's Rosie is just a cutie too :) You are a very good mom :) Your plants seem to be so very happy!
Love those trailers...
I hope their Happy I kiss and hug them each day !
So many times I send people bushy trailers and people don't know their trailers and take them apart to one crown. That's one reason I send everyone that does not have First Class info so they will know what is a trailer, mini, semi, standard and so on.
I enjoy my trailers bushy, not leggy , and trailing with as many crowns I can get . More crowns more flowers !
One person Dmailed me wanting to take apart a trailer and I said oh no it's a trailer . She was new and did not know. Lot's of sellers will sell you a trailer that has one crown and not trailing yet. This is a way to sell more plants make more money . All the trailers I have bought from vendors like Violet Gallery have been trailing ! Rob says he grows trailers as ground coverings. He shows pictures of the big trailers on his web sight. He also says his trailers are natural trailing and rarely need pinching. A good trailer with good trailing habit will naturaly trail ! I have never had to take a plant apart. If I have a trailer with one crown that will not trail I prefer to take one or two leaves off the crown to promote trailing , if a must I take the crown off of the plant and it will start trailing. I have hardly ever had to do this I have been lucky to have trailers that have natural trailing habits.
*giggle* Well live and learn :)
Lorry I re-read your post up there on trailers.
Trailers are the same as other African violets except their growth habit is different their growth habit is to branch and naturally have spreading habit . Trailers have a shallow root system that's why they like being grown in pan pots !
Trailers are plants with multiple-crowns. Something I really enjoy about trailers their growing habits of crawiling and multiple-crowns can give you plants with large amount of foliage and large amount of flowers ! Their fun for me to grow ! More crowns more flowers :))

I've been decrowning all my young trailers... It lets light get to the first small suckers and lets them develop more rapidly into their own crowns, and it also seems to encourage the plant to grow outward rather than up. Removing a couple of the larger leaves would also accomplish this. None of my larger trailers have really started trailing yet, though... lots of crowns, but the crowns aren't growing away from the main stem... there's a photo of 'Biscayne Trail' on this thread http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/576249/ (7th post down) showing it looking pretty odd. I hope it starts actually trailing soon!
I did just remove a nicely rooted crown from 'Marion's Enchanted Trail' just because I wanted another plant, and because I thought the change improved the symmetry. My 'Ramblin' Angel' from MsC has started trailing nicely also after I took the big crown off the top.
I guess I'll get better as I go along & try different things. I sure should have left my 'Teeny Bopper' micro trailer alone though... removed the crown, the mother plant promptly died, and the crown cutting is on its way out I think. :-( Well, there's an excuse for another order to Rob's sometime! :-)
