Critter..was it you that asked me for music box dancer? I wrote someone's name on it but it got smudged!
I am going to start making trade boxes! This way I won't get confused to to who goes where :) I will have a shelf especially for that :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Yes Jill was going to take Music Box Dancer from you as she said she already asked for too many from me ( but she really didn't ) So I sent my two Music Box Dancers out to people already !
Nice list Lorry.

Andalusia, AL(Zone 8b)

woohoo what a list! your doing great growing by leaf.

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Lorry,
That is truly an amazing list! I'm impressed. Where's the pics? :-)
Sharon

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

i think it's amazing she keeps the dogs from knocking them down...lol

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I have babies everywhere too. And gratfeul for the people that adopt and love them :)) If I ever get caught
up transplanting babies from Mom. Oh my ! Their nothing more exciting then babies and sharing them !

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Ok I thought it was her LOL..I will write the name so I can see it better and put it on the wishlist I have for her on here. Thanks Allison!

Thanks Jan :) I really am trying and still losing quite a few of the leaves..but I am getting better at it I think!

I am still pulling and planting up the babies from the seed trays :) Once I get them all potted up in dixie cups, I will post a picture!
I am heading to Sams today and going to see if I can buy dixie cups in bulk LOL

LOL Bob...Oh they have knocked things over a time or two but they know Mommy pitches a fit if they get near her plantstands :)

I agree Allison :) Part of the fun is thinking about who would enjoy which ones the most! I am putting up more and more leaves just because I am excited to share!

Another of the persia prince leaves sprouted...they seem to only give one baby so far but they do it quickly :) So I put up the whole plant except for the crown which the leaves are too small from :)

So hopefully I will have that for everyone!

What a wonderful list, Lorry! Hopefully I'll have some worthy of trading with you come spring!

Mansfield, TX(Zone 8a)

Lorry,
I hope I can find something to trade with you in the spring, too, but it is gonna be a chore to find something you don't already have! LOL Really would love to see pictures of all your babies.
Sharon

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh Raingazer..I will have PLENTY to go around :) So you will be more then welcome to some babies come spring!
I just noticed frozen in time has some babies popping up also! So finally the leaves are showing me some action :)
Raingazer...send me a wishlist so I know what you are looking for :) that way I can start putting aside a box for ya :) this is how I do it..makes life easier :)

I didn't get a chance to take pictures today Sharon..I bought 3 new shelves so was busy busyt busy..same goes for you that went RG though :) I would be happy to send you some plants come spring..let me know your wishlist and I will see what I can do :)

I am always looking to get some lovelies in trade but I know many are just starting out :) and I love to share. The only thing I ask though is that if it isn't a trade...you pay the shipping on the goodie box :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Lorry sent me two big trade boxes and this cool tower plant pot forget what's it's called. I was wondering how I would find plants she does not have. But I did ! Wink Wink :)) I wanted her boxes to be Special and the boxes she sent me ! I sent her 30 plus plants and I don't think she had any of them ! And she is sending me another box ! And I have more plants up my sleaves
special for her she does not have :))

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL..it is about sharing around most of All...Allison knows that even better then I do :)

I am so glad you are enjoying the plants Allison :)
You need to check your Dmail and see if you have any of those babies :) If not..I am going to get the box ready this week :).

I just had a GREAT buy at Target yesterday. I bought a bunch of halogen mini lights for my darker grow areas. They were only 7.00 a piece!

I also bougth 3 beautiful grow stands! Very fancy types...the larger was 60 and the small were 45...They are 3 and four tear shelving with great scrollwork :) So I am a happy camper and been keeping busy with moving everyone to there now home..

My husband also bought me a cyclamen(SP?) I need to check on these..they say they grow the same way as AVs...so want to see if they are related.

Well I am going to be late for work..so time to run.

Love
Lorry

Lorry did you get a Columnea ?
Among the trailing plants, the Columneas can be spectacularly beautiful, and are often not difficult to grow. An excellent example is the old hybrid C. ‘Early Bird’, still available from many sources. Although the relatively common
Yes it's a Gesneriad ~

Classification

Notable New World genera include Columnea, l50 species of shrubs and climbers, often epiphytic

Lorry,
why buy dixie cups when you can use egg cartons. That is what I use. It takes up less space too!

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I also use the 3 oz. solo cups for leaves have now for almost two years. I was raught it at our local Av group. Lots of my babies fill the cup and inches over before I get to transplant them.
All mine are kept in plastic boxes . They don't tip and last the good 6 months or so until big enough to go from Mom to their own pots !
With hundreds of leaves down Egg cartons would be hard to use. Plus mine are all in the boxes under lights and they all grow at different rates making it nice to just lift a cup and transplant the ones needed . Then they go on a tray with the plants :))

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Noe a cyclamen :)
I don't have any Columnea yet :)

CCino Eg cartons is a WONDERFUL idea :) I have never thought of that :)
But this is usually what I put my babies into ...so they have to be shipping out and the dixie cups are probably better for that..though I will definitely use the egg crate idea :)

My leaves are in seed tray until they have babies :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Lorry no wonder I can't find it in the searc as in the
Gesneriadreference web I do a search on cyclamen
I got Cyclamen Mites. So your plant name you worte down must be miss spelled.

Here is the link to it Allison.
Seems like it is not a gessy after all but requires the same care as one :)
They have every color under the rainbow of them at our local nursery. I bought one to see if I am any good with it..and if I am..I may buy more :) They are SOOO pretty and the leaves are SOOO cool :)
They were 5.88 at the nursery.

I also bought a florist gloxinia which was out of bloom for 1.00 to see if I can keep it alive :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Pretty !

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

OH they are VERY pretty! SO I thought I would give them a shot! I drool over them every time I go to our nursery :) It even says you can grow them outdoors here...so I may try putting it outside ;)
Would you like one? If so..I can pick one up and send it in your package :) As a little valentine gift :) Just let me know your favorite color :)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Oh posh :) If you dont' want one..you dont' want one..but if you would like to try one please tell me :) And I will pick it up next weekend :)

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Uh huh :) I have never seen anything with leaves quite like these...I believe they are tuber but going to look into how you can propagate them :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

Oh I'd Love one ! Be warned you will be getting another great box right back to you ! How is your baby Strp plant I sent you doing ? They don't like much water/more on the dry side.

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

He is doing just fine :) Happily sitting with the other streps :)
I try to keep everyone seperated so as to be able to keep watering straight LOL..So streps are on one shelf alone :)
Ok I will pick up a cyclamen and also send along your carnivorous plants :)

Also..let me know if you need all the ones I sent you in the dmail :) I dont' want to double anything up on ya :)

Ok I am running for now :)

Oh wait..what is your favorite color? the cyclamens come in red, fuschia, fuschia mulit like mine, and white that I can think of off hand :) So want to get the color you want :)

Dunedin, FL(Zone 10b)

I like all colors ! And surprised are fun ! And I will enjoy any babies or leaves you send me :))

Denver, CO

Lorry; your ears look very healthy and happy. Those red pots really look nice somehow. Are all of them under light? And what color flowers does 'Jalapeno' have? Beautiful,
Kenton

Vero Beach, FL(Zone 9b)

Thanks Kenton :) they all seem to be doing well so far *fingers crossed*
I have all of the babies undr lights :) Not all of my plants are though!
And my leaves are now in front of a window without lights.
Jalapeno has red flowers so I am told...I have not seen it yet..as I just got the leaves...I don't have a full sized plant yet!
This is the photo from FC so I guess it is more like a fuschia then a true red.
