Rise and Shine!!! Would you believe I actually sat and watched the entire SB game last night!! I loved the horse commercial with the little horse pulling the big wagon - that was a winner. Half time show was a so-so in my book.

M5- no, don't sent the onion recipe- I would never make it - actually I stop at Arby's - they have good onion petals!! Just a small serving satisfies me.

Not much on the docket for this week. Huff/puff this morning, taking MIL for bloodwork and she wants to go to Meijers. It is a huge grocery store and I don't think she will be able to walk thru the entire thing, but with a cart to hang onto, we'll do part of it anyhow.

GG - I laughed at the dog/butt thing. I always have that happen to me too!! I just figured I needed to shower..LOL

9Kit- my house looks like yours. I really need to dig into also. Just don't have any motivation....I'd rather sit and read!!

Molly/Darius - I am so envious that you can buy AND plant things!! I have to be content to just sit and stare at my plant stands. It is so cold where they are, that things are really at a stand still in there. I need a heat mat that is yards long I fear!! I did have 3 of the leaves I put in cups send up new shoots (african violets) I am going to pitch all my old violets and start new ones. After while they just look old and sorry.

Well, time for breakfast - I have leftover goulash, pizza from last night, or a yogurt. Hmmm what a decision...

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

JUst good morning, Sarv and every one else

Woke up with my usual backache, I think I'll have that for the rest of my life.
Did not watch SB but sorry the way it turned out, as we say, wait till next year.

you can add my house to all the ones need cleaning, mine is just awfull, Samson is the biggest contributer to the mess

I don't think it is a shower you need, Sarv, I thinks Samson likes the lotion I put on after, lol, had to stop it, it drove him crazy, what a pest he can be, lol

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Good Morning!

The dogs, well, rather Snowy was restless again last night. Yes, Bonnie I am sure they were upset by the move and needed to get settled in. I am also sure that being on a cable most times they go out has probably got them "off". The fencing is being delivered today, so Jeremy and I will be digging and putting in posts. This will be for the back yard where the dogs can have some unsupervised freedom. We won't be able to string the field wire until my brother comes next weekend with the "come along (?)".

Yesterday when Darius and I got home from town, Jeremy told me the horse pasture neighbors had come to their property with a trailer. He said he left that side of our property and moved to another area so as not to incite them. I didn't think another thing about it until this morning. When I let the dogs out, I heard a truck and I heard horses neighing, or were they whinnying? I looked over there and there are 4 horses in the pasture. The owners came by this morning to feed and water them. Baby is deaf, but Snowy isn't. That must be why she was so restless last night. She could hear the horses over there. Guess I'll have to take her over by the fence so she can get the scent and get comfortable with that.

I know I will have a real hard time resisting the urge to go over there with my pitch fork to get manure.

So for the time being, I will look out the window, watch the horses, until it warms up. It was in the 20's last night, probably still close to that. There was frost on the porch railing when the girls went out.

Late last night we smelled a strong odor of some petroleum product in the air outside. We worried it was something here on our place. But I can't imagine that we had anything like that. Our neighbor to the back was up late last night, you could hear them talking outside, across 4 acres of land. Maybe they were the cause of that smell. Worry wart me, I kept watching out the window for signs of fire.

It's going to be another busy week and nite temps are predicted in the 20's, day temps in the 60's.

Molly

good morning to all that are awake at this time, sarv48 the yogurt sounds good I dont do well with leftovers , that's my husband thing but not for breakfast. not quite awake yet .... got to do the house shores I have not been here for 3 days.....I need to get caught up with things.... I spent the evening sorting my seeds and making my wish list for this year and starting to plan my yard ...football is not my thing nor is my husband. so I feel like I accomplished something. During the week end I cleaned the garden in Cambridge with the help of my grand son, survived the kitchen flood greeting us when we got there, we had a leak in the bathroom and part of the ceiling came down and so did the water. What a mess. We still managed to have some friends over and had a nice evening minus part of the ceiling...this will be taken care off in time too many things on my plate this week. I brought my mini greenhouse now I am going to start some seeds as soon as I can. I have such a list of things to do that I am not sure where to start... I think that I star with the laundry this is a start as good as any... then I go from there.....

Gravois Mills, MO(Zone 6a)

SARV you must be a horse person. I got a guy up the road from me has 5 draft horses. 4 perchons ( can't spell it but the black draft horses) and one Belguim. Among his other dozen are so assorted other horses, Minuture Ponies, 3 Camels, 2 Zebras, several Lamas, a couple Ostrich, 3-4 Emus and several Goats. He has a private rodeo and a show ring as well. He has a careftaker up there. Plus a radio station. Goes to show you there is money in religious radio. Last I heard he owned 14 stations nation wide. Most of these stations have no employees. A computer bank in there runs the programing for a couple of weeks then a guy comes in and changes the program. When I was a kid about 14 yrs old I worked out at Bush's Estate a few times one summer long before it was opened with tours and everything. I have been up close with those Clydesdale. They have better stables than some people have houses. They are so big I remember being scared of them. The old man August Bush was a real fine man. I even worked for awhile with the brewmisters making everything from Bush to Michelob when I was about 21. But being low on the pole in seniority I got layed off and went on to other jobs.

oz - I am NOT a horse person - scared silly of them!! Had several bad experiences growing up. We used to ride on them and I swear every time something bad happened to me- saddle fell off several times (actually just loosened up enough to slip) and the horses would often just turn around and head pell mell for the barn or would rear up. Scared the sh** outta me!! I do admire their majesty tho!

Yum - leftovers are almost better than the real thing!! Glad DH and I both enjoy them.

Still 22 deg here and windy - house seems freezing even tho I have a huge fire in the woodstove and the heating pad on my lap.

Well, I am off to the huff/puff, then home to do bedding then onto hospital duty...then it wil time for dinner!! Day's full!!

Take care all!

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Good morning all. Been up since 3:45, mind, body not functioning well. The wake up was due to a phone call from DSIL, calling to tell DH that DMIL was on the way back to the hospital by ambulance. She has fluid build up on both lungs, and the surgeon thought it best that she be hospitalized to treat this. She is not doing well at all. She seemed to be regaining some spunk, but the past 2 weeks have been declining.

I have a dentist appointment this morning, and then I will come home and try to nap to catch up on lost sleep. I will check in later to see what everybody is up to.

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Been a busy morning here so far! Sammi's ready for his morning nap having gone through his morning antics, chased the girls, jumped on my lap about twenty times, got scolded for biting, and now he's up on the back of the chair giving himself a bath and preparing to bake in the sun. He's getting very good about the "no biting" and got a manicure yesterday. He's pretty smart for a little fellow.

Susan, you sound as if you are feeling so much better! And out for dinner, good job!! Isn't it a relief to have it all behind you?

IO1 and Dcat, I'm in the same category as both of you. Never have been overly fond of children, didn't even like babysitting as a teen, unless they were all tucked in to bed. Naturally, that's the most available job for teens, and I had enough exposure to know it wasn't a goal to strive for. Then I got married at 19, and since my ex had gone through testicular cancer and lost one of his boys, and had radiation he assured me he was sterile. Just another one of his lies that I fell for. Got pg immediately. Then had two more!! I remember thinking "How the heck did this happen?" That's probably why I was so strict with my kids, and didn't hesitate to apply my hand to their rears when the situation called for it. If they'd had the pill in 1955, I might be childless today!

I enjoy the grands, well, three of them, the other two don't bear further discussion as you've already heard it. And fortunately, most of them are grown, and I haven't seen my GGS since he was 6 months old. And you know about Alex, my DGS,l who is so dear to my heart....but I truly believe that some of us were not meant to be mothers. Biology is not destiny, as the women's movement reminded us.

Sarv, I find that those *haystack* onions are a good substitute for the blooming onion, although they usually result in heartburn. That doesn't stop me though....you have to make some sacrifices! I'm envious of those who can start planting already, too. This year is even more depressing than usual, because we have no snow cover and everything is ugly brown. Bah, February! Good thing its a short month.

Dcat, I signed up for Mystery Guest but they haven't called me for a visit yet. I hope they do, I love to eat out. Especially if it's free. We were supposed to go out with DGS and DIL this weekend because he bought a coupon deal where you pay $50 and get coupons worth $100 for specific restaurants, but they didn't come in the mail when he expected them so we're postponed until next weekend. His wife is losing her job at Bodum, as they are moving their corp. office to NY, so she's getting her resume out early rather than wait for the two months severance they are promising. Promises don't always come about.

Maria, before my DS and DIL got Howard, he ....uhhhh...loved girls, too and was always sticking his nose where it didn't belong. Since he's now been neutered, that behavior has stopped, and he's considerably calmer. Maybe Samson nees his plumbing adjusted, too!

Lots of chores lined up today, several phone calls to make where I am sure I will be on hold for way too long, and the house looks like a tornado came through. I didnt even make dinner last night, I fed the guys junk food, and DH cleaned up the left overs. But the kitchen is still cluttery.

Hello to all, hope everyone has a good day, the sun is shining here so I feel pretty cheery, and hope it's contagious.
ttyl,
Sheila

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Dcat, sorry about your MIL, just seems like it's so hard for elderly patients to recover. I hope she will be all right, our thoughts are with you. I know I should preview, but I've lost some long tirades that way lately so I always have to go back and see if someone posted while I was babbling.....

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Sheila, thank you for your response, that is what the vet said but I am not sure about it, afraid he will get fat and lose that sprit which I just love about him

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Maria, Howard is still very playful and energetic, just not NOSY, and his last visit the vet said he could gain five pounds and still be fine. They watch his diet, as he is not a puppy, so that he doesn't get over fed. Think about it, it's not a huge trauma for male dogs.

Bartlesville, OK(Zone 6a)

Oh Maria, don't worry about neutering Samson. My Wile E. is slim and trim and very much the 'boy'.

It is quick and easy to neuter, how old is he now? I had WileE done as soon as they could 'find em'. LOL

He will still be the same wonderful dog.

Susan

Morning All,

Was sleeping so nice and sound and the the dumb phone rang,,,didn't answer it,,,they'll call back. Ran out of coffee yesterday After the grocery store closed so had to get dressed right away this morning and go out and get some,,,,Have to have the java,,,,,,,

Well today IS bookwork! I Have to get my hinney in that chair and git r done!!!!! So, I'm not going to take time to comment,,,gonna get going. Have read all the posts and am thinking about everyone.

Well, be back later. Have a great day all.

Kelly

Morning everyone
Maria, I echo everyone elses views on having the surgery for Samson. They take care of that for guide dogs. It won't make him fat or less active. It will actually make him more devoted as he won't have other things on his mind. :) It's a decision you'll have to make, though.

Defoe, I'm so sorry to hear your MIL is having such a difficult time. Please know I'm remembering her in my prayers along with your DH and entire family.

I have so much I need to do today but am having trouble getting cranked up this morning. I slept in which will probably ruin me for tonight which I will regret as I have a DR appointment at 7:45 in the a.m. I will not even have my eyes opened that early. So glad the DH can just lead me around. hehehe

Guess I better get up and get at it. Hi to everyone. Have read everything but won't try to comment on each individual post.
... Elaine

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Maria = get Samson taken care of.. It will settle him down, yet he will have all the energy you need! That is the first thing we've done with all of our animals! Wish DH would have had it done LOL LOL Honestly, unless you are planning on breeding him, it is a good thing to take care of.

Defoe - thinking about your MIL - hope things improve for her. Gosh the older I get the more I think about those things happening to me!! I am such a worrier and this crummy weather leaves me with far too much thinking time!!

I did have two kinds of seeds sprout overnight- lupines and double decker coneflowers (surprised at this one as they said it needed to be stratified and I didn't do that) I've peeked at them a dozen times already! Hope my Pinetree seeds come today.

Our local garden center has their potting soil on sale, so I need to boogie in and get about 30 bags. Need DH to load it for me tho...I just can't lift things anymore!

I was planning on changing the bedding today, but decided I didn't really want to - so made the beds up and will think about doing it tomorrow. Dishes in the sink and Sunday papers thrown all over - need to address that soon!!

I forgot to tell you, Defoe, I won't need any warm clothes. We hardly ever see snow way down south. *boo hiss* It's only snowed here twice in 31 years to amount to anything. Have seen just a couple of flurries other than that. If it's going to be freezing cold ... wouldn't mind a bit of the white stuff for a change as long as it was just for a couple of days. The only problem is ... it shuts us down. People don't know how to act down here. LOL
... Elaine

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Elaine, that's so true. When DGS was in VA in the navy and his wife joined him in VA, they had a very small snowstorm. She was out wheeling around in her car, and having no problems at all. Called me and said "What's wrong with these people?? " I told her it just like it is here in the first snowfall, people forget how to drive in it. Out there they never get enough practice!!

Maria, Samson will hate the collar but it will keep him from bothering the incisions and help to heal better. That is, if you decide to go ahead with the surgery. They only get fat and lazy if you let them.

Sarv, the advantage with dogs is you don't have to talk them into it. I doubt you could have persuaded your DH that it was a good thing. LOL LOL

M5- he never goes to the doc. I told him I was cutting him off if he wouldn't get it done- well, he still wouldn't do it!!! He is the MOST bull-headed person I have ever met and one of our DS is taking right after him...

I'm so pooped today - just sitting at the computer, listening to the radio and gazing outside watching the birds. Someone give me a kick in the behind~~~

Millbury, MA(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone,

Maria, to answer your question from yesterday, my mother will be 80 in June. (and, no, I don't mind your asking at all)

D'cat, so sorry to hear about your MIL's health declining. We'll all be hoping that it's just a temporary set-back.

I heartily agree with all who said that being a woman does not automatically mean you should be a mother. I was very lucky to have been born at a time when reasonable birth control would be available when I needed it! I knew by the age of 7 that I wanted no part of motherhood and only had that confirmed as the years went by and I had to babysit for four younger brothers and assorted kiddies from H**l.

Kelly, honestly, if you haven't tried the Dome book for your book keeping you might want to get one this year. I don't look forward to doing mine and sometimes let it slide for a month (doing only the bit that I have to in order to pay my monthly sales tax), but having the book with all those empty spots staring back at me is a good incentive not to let it go TOO long! Oh, and I know just what you mean about some of your clients. I have a magnet on a file cabinet just behind my cash register that says "Show me someone with a deep loathing for all mankind and I'll show you someone who works in retail." If I've posted that before, my apologies (CRS again, I'm afraid)

101, I hear what you're saying about the snow. Even up here in the North it seems that everybody has to re-learn how to handle it with the first good snowfall of the season.

Sarv, M5, orchid, oz, Molly, Susan, a big wave to all of you! I enjoy reading your posts, but I've really got to get away from this computer and get something accomplished today!

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Hey Sarv, the Lorena Bobbit solution came along too late for you, eh(insert evil laugh here)

Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Hi everyone! Tried to catch up on reading posts yesterday, but didn't have time to finsh. I can't even begin to respond to everything from the weekend, so I'll just start with today.

Saturday was a wonderful day. everyone left about 7:30 a.m and no one was home until 7 p.m. I was in heaven. wish I could say I got lots done, but that would be a lie. I enjoyed the quet while I had it.

Yesterday was DGS's birthday party. Today is his real birthday, he is 4.

MIL is moving next weekend. SIL had been trying to help her find a place to get her out of the city of Trenton. If anyone has ever been in that city, you know it's not a great place and only geting worse. She is moving into a two year old trailer. Very nice. Not at all what trailers used to be. She will be close to 2 SIL's and further away from me! Yipee! She like to make a drama out of everything and this was no exception.

Maria - Hope your back feels better. Please get sampson neutered. If he catches the scent of a female in heat, I'm afraid he would pull you down. We don't want you to get hurt! He will still have plenty of energy to play after he gets it done.

Defoe - so sorry to hear about MIL. Will keep her in my prayers

Good thing I was having lunch when reading these posts. All this talk about blooming onion, onion peels etc. makes me hungry. I love anything with onions.

To those I didn't have time to address, sorry, will do better next time. Gotta get back to work, have a good afternoon.

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

CaroL - how is your son?

Jody

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

Good morning.

Dcat, I'm sorry to hear that your MIL is back in the hospital. At her age it is just hard to get healthy, something we will all have to face sooner or later. Tell me what a mystery shopper does. I sometimes see somebody in a store with a clip board writing down prices or something, they don't appear to be either a store employee or a customer, but I have never asked. Being a mystery diner sounds like more fun, the trouble is there are not that many restaurants within at least a hundred miles, mostly cows live here and they don't eat at restaurants.

Maria, I agree with those who recommend getting Samson neutered. The thought of you flying along at the end of his leash while he persues his love life is not good. Often they get into fights with other male dogs and he could be seriously hurt by one of them, as could you if you are trying to break up a dog fight. Other dogs might just come right into your yard since you have the fence that only works with the collar and training to avoid it. Do think about it, his discomfort and inconvenience would be short term and the benefits to him and you would be long term.

I'm another one of those mothers who had no preparation for being a mother, and never really enjoyed it. I'm proud of the adults my children have grown into, but just didn't enjoy motherhood. When I was growing up I was never around kids except for school, didn't babysit, etc. Suddenly there I was with a baby and didn't even know how to change a diaper or take care of him. Somehow he survived. My MIL helped me a lot, to the point where she eventually became just too much, and I was very glad to have her move a few miles away, better yet when she remarried and moved to a different state! She was a take over kind of person who found her security in being needed and made sure she was needed. Distance is a wonderful thing! Believe me, I stay out of my kids' lives.

I heard that Lorena Bobbit has remarried. What can this man be thinking? Probably he is not a sound sleeper. I'm sure that she is not the first woman who has thought to take a knife and deal with her husband's wayward behavior, but she became famous for actually doing it.

It's sunny out today but quite windy and just above freezing. I don't think I will go riding today because I got cold just doing my horse feeding chores this morning. Out of 4 midday rides I have taken I have gotten quite cold 3 times. There will be nicer days, I don't worry about not having the horses ready for the first endurance rides, we always seem to make it and some years the weather has been far worse than this year. The wind is forecast to be stronger this afternoon.

It's time to get something done, my house is definitely disorganized, a reflection of the house unkeeper.

I just wrote one of the longest posts, I have written in a long time and it went poof,, I am so furious and I could spit, my temper is getting the best of me, I can;t even think straight right now, perhaps later

south of Grand Rapid, MI(Zone 5a)

Maria, do you hit preview before you send? If so, skip and go right to send - that's what I do....

Took MIL for her blood work then on to a huge grocery store (she never goes anywhere!!) She did pretty good. We didn't go down every food aisle - just the ones that had food items that she wanted. The worse part is that her vision is failing and she couldn't tell what was what. She picked up hamburg for pork chops etc. But we had a good time. She was one tired puppy by the time I got her home!! I'll do it once a month for her, but certainly hope she doesn't want to do it weekly!! I am sure she won't. I"m used to whizzing thru the store - I felt like I was taking baby steps!!

DH is putting a new door latch on our slider - it hasn't locked for years and we needed a new one. I'd really like a whole new door, but you can only push DH so far. He too is quite stubborn.

Yikes, I forgot I was to make chili for dinner. drat. gotta go...

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Sarv, I was not even finished writing, no I do not preview, am still mad!

waukesha, WI(Zone 5a)

Happened to me this morning Maria, I'm going to blame Sammi for walking on the keyboard. It actually wasn't him but I had to blame someone besides me.

Maria this happens to me once in a while and of course it has to be a lonnnnnnnnnnng letter or a long e-mail and poof it goes into Lalaland . It is so frustrating . Of course you try to write another e-mail this time the abridged version hoping that the other person can read between the line which is unlikely...Anyway not fun .. I am not a typist by any means far from it , but I do get there....sarv you are so good to your MIL mine passed away this past year she had allszeimers. My mothe on the ohter hand is still alive but she had a stroke and cant get around unassisted . My brother live's with her and take's care of her. I call her almost everyday it is hard we are about 5000 miles apart. I saw her in November and her maind is still very sharp it is the body that give's her problems.
Today I accomplished few things my chair is almost finished and I made a meatloaf for my husband , I never make meatloaf because I like meatloaf but it does not like me and I get heartburns. So I will see this time how it turns out... It sure smell's good.
I started to order my seeds for my garden and I have my mini greenhouse, very mini, and I am ready to roll planting things....
Well everybody I got to go I am being paged... dinner is ready.

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Sarv, I didn't watch the foot ball game, but did catch that commercial. That was so cute. I too love the bloomin onions, but try not to have them too often. So what did you finally decide on for breakfast? Good to hear about your seeds sprouting. How do you expect to get DH fixed, if he won't go to the Dr? You gonna the the "lorena thing"?

Maria, sorry about the backache. One of my friends has started having acpuncture. She is a the end of her rope with the back pain. Not bragging, but my house is clean, thanks to DGD and her friend. Pets do add a lot of dirt and work to house keeping.

Molly, yeah the fencing came. Now it won't be long before the girls can be out unsupervised. I would take them over to investigate the horses. Chances are they will become friends. Why don't you ask your neighbor about having the manure. He may have a barn full this time of year.. Would probably give it to you to get the barn clean.

Orchidfancy, Sorry about the water mess. Glad you were still able to have friends over. Starting with the laundry is a plan. Good luck.

Ozarkian, Your neighbor has a zoo. I do love the big horses, the Belgians, perchions and Clydsdales. They are so majestic looking.

Meezer, Ain't you glad that kittens finally grow up and settle down? They are so cute though when they are playing. Oh no, your ex said he was sterile, and then you had 3 kids. I would have performed his surgery for him. To heck with the Dr's. I am a mystery diner. Have been to 4 dinners so far. Pretty good deal.

Maria, can't give an opinion on having Samson neutered. Mr. B is my first male dog. He already has 2 "dates" in the next 2 months. I'll let you know how that goes. If it changes his disposition, we may consider the surgery also.

GG Good luck on the bookwork.

DR, let us know about DS.

Mary, I meant to say I was a mystery diner. I have been 4 times, and am scheduled to do 2 more this month. I really enjoy it. All you have to do is fill out an online questionnaire with 2 days of the meal.

101 are you having blood work tomorrow, is that why the early appointment? About the snow, I thought I heard last night that parts of Georgia was getting some flurries overnight.

Well, heard from DH about 2:00. The fluid has been drained from both lungs, and DMIL is resting better. The surgeon wants her to stay in the hospital for a couple of days, so that if this happens again, they will be able to address the situation quickly. Thanks to all for your thoughts and prayers for her. I really appreciate it.

Well I am off to the kitchen to find something to eat. DH will not be in until later tonight. So I cooked a roast this afternoon, and may just have a roast beef sandwich.

I will be back later to see what has been going on.

Schroon Lake, NY(Zone 4a)

Oh boy, lots of posts today!!
defoecat~I need to wish your DMILgood health . I hope this is the end of the fluid buildup.

Yesterday's posts were so funny. Unfortunately, while I did get a lot of work done at the farm today, I broke my glasses. I can SORT OF see,but my eyes tire quickly.

m5~I did get to see Sammi, and he looks little again on that big guy he was snoozing on!!

sarv~whne you said changing bedding I was thinking petunia;beds....gues I don't change mine often enoughLOL

Maria~My Max is 13 years old, neutered since he was 1, and still acts like puppy, slim andtrim. I don't think Samson will get fat - you keep him busy Maria! Ibet the ones get fat stay home alone all day. Who knows. Samson seems way to active to become acouch potato!

Okay, now I'm going to get a headache. I will take my glasses in first thing, hope they can fix them. I knowk, I should have a second pair. I always SAY that when something happens, but they're so expensive I cannever face buying two at once.

Archer/Bronson, FL(Zone 8b)

Bonnie,

I did take the dogs up to meet the horses this afternoon. Baby and one of the mares took a liking to each other. The gelding (who seems to be the head of the herd) didn't seem to care for the time the mare spent, so he nipped her. Luckily, the landowner doesn't live on that pasture. The girlfriend owner has decided she needs a total stranger to hate and verbally abuse, so she chose me. No sense in asking for free horse crap, I get all I want from her.

We got the pond in today along with some grasses and a couple trees. We spent the past hour watching the sprinkler come and go while we wound down.

Tomorrow we go pick up the replacement garden cart, then maybe I can get Jeremy to haul some more pine needles up. I need much more. Today he hauled many wheelbarrows of dirt to fill in the big hole around the pond.

I'm cooking tonight. Seafood pasta (sea scallops and shrimp) in an alfredo sauce with a leaf salad. Lots of carbs and cholesteral. But so yummy!!!!

Better get to it now, think we're getting hungry.

Jasmerr, don't really want to show how computer ignorant I am but do not know how to do what you suggested :-(
I'll make a few notes and get back to you but it will not be that long as I wrote before

Maria,

Open your Word (or comparable program) and type your message. When you are finished click “Edit” at the top of the page; then “Select All.” This will highlight everything you typed. Then move your cursor into the highlighted area, right click on the mouse, and choose “Copy.” Go back to your DG message box, right click again and choose “Paste.”

Dmc, broken glasses, how horrible. I know what you are talking about
Too expensive to have 2 pair.

Molly, did you mean the girl is the owner of the farm/horses, or is she
The girlfriend of the owner. What started the abuse? Oh the pond, grasses
And trees, bet that is going to look good. And that seafood pasta sounds so good.

Molly, I must commend you, you put that rather delicately! What a lousy way to meet your neighbor when you were only trying to get the animals aquainted, not sic the dogs on the horses! Maybe you'd have better luck with the male half of the neighboring human twosome. Or maybe it's a lost cause. Good thing they don't live there. Oooo, your seafood pasta sounds good. Another addition to the "do sometime soon" list.

I didn't go riding today, the wind blew hard enough to keep me indoors with the laundry and the cats. Our high temperature might have reached 35 today but it sure wasn't warm with the wind blowing off the snow above us. Come on spring!

Dmc, sorry to hear that you broke your glasses. I hope they can be fixed without spending too much time or money. Got any new pictures to share?

Yawn, yawn, I won't last much longer in an upright position.

Hi All,

Just checking in quick before I put the new daily up. Well, I got 2 months done,,,,yippee,,,only 10 more to go,,,LOL

I have looked at the Dome books,,,but that wouldn't make me feel the need to do it,,,heck, looking at the receipts doesn't do that. lol I tried Quick Books Pro. Practiced for 2 years before I felt comfortable to use it instead of a spreadsheet (actual paper,,,lol). I used only QB the 3rd year and my accountant called me,,,,"Um, Kelly,,,somethings wrong here" I had to pull the whole year and do it ALL over the way I was doing it on a paper spreadsheet,,,so, I'm using Excel this year,,,at least that way I won't have to add until my fingers go numb,,lol Can use Auto Sum. Should save Some time.

I swear I'm going to learn one of these years to keep up with it,,,,,just don't know which year though,,,grrrrr

Well, off to start tomorrows daily,,,,then off to bed.

Kelly
