Hi all
Well, Went to the mall tonight. Penny's had a sale. Buy one get one for a dollar. The only problem was I couldn't find anything to buy. LOL I found a pair of white jeans I had purchased a couple of days ago for $20 ... they had marked them back up to $36, but you could get another pair for $1. ;) Guess that works if you need 2 pair.
Anyway, went to HD and drooled over the plants and seeds. Was good, though. Didn't buy anything there either. Had to decide on something for my little friend, so got her a set of books. I love books. :)
We had more rain while we were gone. Now the frogs are so so happy outside. It sounds like a summer's night. We have the sliding door opened, and it sounds so pretty.
Susan, are you driving already? If so, do be careful. Hope you have a nice trip. Ooooh, love the sound of that skillet dish with the sausage. Yum yum. Will have to try that. :)
Mary, that stir fry sure sounds good. Hope your weather is better tomorrow. Don't forget your gloves if you go out riding. LOL
Anne, it's good to see you back. No what you mean about not being able to catch up. We can be a gabby bunch. LOL Hurry back and tell us what you've been up to.
Kelly, sorry I didn't get to tell you nighty night. Sure hope you feel better tomorrow.
Well, I'm off to see what else is going on.

Kittymom the problem is before St Louis. My son and his girlfriend are looking for a house with a few acres. Lots of places out buy 6 Flags but she is flat out right scared to drive 44 everyday. I do not know that the problem is. We came back on 44 last time up there. I did not see anything that bad.
OH NO!! I'm not even close to driving yet at all. This is the trip I make on May 1st to go for DGD birthday. Go every year. So I have to work extra hard at my therapy so I CAN go. Jessica would be heartbroken if her Grandma didn't come for her birthday. LOL
Don't tell her about the plants part. ROFLOL
I have a lot of hard work to even reach the gear shift so I CAN drive. Hopefully by middle of March I will be able to do it. DH will be happy about that too. LOL
I put a can of baby corn in the sausage skillet fry tonight. That added alittle different flavor to the mix. Was very tasty.
Susan

Good Night/Morning everybody. Sorry I missed out on the whole day again. This week has been crazy!
Kittymom, you're coming to Indiana?!? When will you be visiting?
Everybody's recipes sound absolutely scrumptious. I cheated again and we had Burger King for dinner.
I feel for you with the flooding problems. We had our basement flood once when a radiator pipe busted and it took forever to get rid of all the water.
We had some strange weather today. It was warm and sunny and beautiful until about 6:00 and then it got cold really fast and storm clouds moved in and then we had lightning and rain, but it passed over in no time. I don't think I've ever seen lightning in February before.
How many furbabies are too many? I saw another little kitten wandering around outside today. I haven't caught it yet, but I'm worried I'm going to become "The Crazy Cat Lady" that all the neighborhood kids are scared of.LOL I already have 5 cats and Percy, now. Are 6 cats too many?
Well, I'll stop for now and check back later. Sorry I didn't get to everybody, but is so late I'm afraid everyone will switch over to tomorrow.
Who are you asking if 6 cats are too many?????
Are 9 too many???? noooooo
As long as you care for them, feed them, spay or neuter them, medicate, and love them you can have a lot. LOL
Where is Cayuga in relation to Lafayette?
I wish I had a bunch of extra time, I would go around and visit with DG friends. LOL

I'm about 45 minutes away from Purdue, depending on which way you drive.
Well maybe YOU could drive up to us and go with us to the garden place we like.
What fun!
Susan

What garden place do you go to?

I've never been to that one. Have you ever had a chance to go thru Purdue's gardens and greenhouses? They usually try to plant some new things every year.
Well, I have been very busy tonight, and today also. Posted a couple of times, but took forever to read to catch up.
Mary, that was a horrific event with the ship sinking. Sorry that you got so cold, tomorrow, don't FORGET THE GLOVES!!. I chuckled at the company with no bathroom. How inconvenient. And your schedule sounds good. Wish I could have some down time.
DR, not a football fan, but GO SEAHAWKS.
VA All U. S. Car manufacturerers now add the daylight driving lights. It does help.
GG. Don't apologize for venting. We all need to do it every once in awhile. I may have made that customer wait awhile for an appointment. If you have had trouble with the door before, how many times do you have to tell her, "It is sticking"?
Kittymom, hugs to you. I know that you will be up for the trip on May 1. Just keep doing them exercises.
Maria, Yuk, oil tank split in half. What a smell that must have been. The vet is right, please be careful. Samson doesn't mean to be unruly, just excited and he could hurt you.
The UPS truck came this afternoon to deliver something I had ordered. Saw the truck and was making my way to the door, and when I got there, he was waving the package at Mr. B., and was terrified. Now, Mr. B. stands under 1' tall, and weighs about 11 pounds, and he was gonna whack him with the package. I told him, If you are gonna be afraid, you might want to check out the beagle behind you. DH has a male beagle, that is not nice to strangers. Has never bit anyone, but I think he could. Anyway, he was very rude, and I ended up walking him back to his truck so he wouldn't be attacked by an itsy bitty dog. Methinks, he needs to find another job!!.
Well, DH called about 2:30, said they were still waiting for DMIL to have her procedure. I went to pick up DGD, we ate out, and made a couple of stops. DH got home about 8:00. DMIL had about 600 cc of fluid drawn from left lung. She was completely worn out when he took her to his sisters. I know that she will feel better, but what a day!!
I am having my family this weekend for DM's birthday, and DGD helped me to straighten the house after we got home. What a little worker she is. I am going to treat her to something special tomorrow for her help.
Well, I am off to bed, as I have a full day tomorrow. Will try to check in early, and periodically during the day.
Every one have a good night.
Meezer, I am with you on the drugs at the dentist. I have had some extensive medical procedures on my jaw and mouth and I am a pansy now. So for every adjustment that has to be done I am medicated before hand with a little blue pill and then knocked out for the rest. My oral surgeon says that after all the pain I went through and no complaining (to him) he is happy to do whatever I need to make me a happy patient.
I almost laughed my self to wetting my pants when I saw your fire. My FIL has the same picture in front of his and he says that the palm trees are just ripe firewood. LOL
So sorry for all the bad weather some of you are having. We are having high's in the 70's, and most of my bulbs are at least 2 inches out of the soil. So I am sure in the next month we are going to have a bad freeze and all will be lost, and I will be in tears.
Defoe, glad you had luck finding the wallpaper you were looking for. DH hangs wallpaper and I know all to well how hard it is for you to find exactly what you want even with a million designs to chose from. I honestly think it would be easier if they would lessen the choices. LOL
I made my reservations and will be going to SC for the President Day weekend in a couple weeks. I have ordered the seed for the pasture grass and the wildflower seed and am having a man prepare the land so I can seed and cover it while I am there. I bought 5 pounds of wildflower seed and I am hoping that it will be enough. I am thinking since I wont be there for the first spring and 85% are perennials and the annuals are all reseeding that I should have a beautiful display for the first spring that I am there since it will be the second season.
IO1, I copied that recipe. It sounds and looks delicious. I am the only one who eats shrimp, shellfish or any kind of fish for that matter in the house I am going to make it on a Thursday and take the rest into work for lunch for me and the others at work.
Sarv, for the first two years in this house my drain plugged up on Thanksgiving Day, so now a week before I have them cleaned out whether or not they need it. I am not going there again. I feel for you and hugs are plentiful for you. Orchid, hugs for you also. Ouch....
Molly, my hero. When DH asked if I had planned to do to much during my uncoming trip I laughed. I told him compared to you I am being lazy. LOL The yard looks wonderful..... I love those stepping stones (woods). Please be extra careful with the weather there. I worry for you and Darius with all the strange weather of late.
GG, I tease DH about having to go in and paint in the morgue here in town, and tell him all the time that I could do all aspects of his job except that one. The smell is horrible but the though of not having anyone talking back or argueing with me about how wonderful they THINK their child is sounds like a good trade off.
Mary, do the horse like the cats? I was talking a friend who's daughter is taking riding lessons and one of the cats loves to ride on the back of one of the older horses. The horse will walk extra slow when ever she is on her.
She says it is a hoot to watch...
Susan, I took Xanax once and felt as though I was falling off the earth so they switched me to Zoloft, HA HA. I stared at the walls and couldn't hold a one sided conversation. Dr's agreed that meds are not a good idea for treatment plans for me. Good thing I am relatively healthy.
Okay, I THINK I touched on the big things, but I know I am missing some things. I am sorry if you are the one that I missed. I did read, ohhh, ahhhh and ewwww along with all of you but just cant get the brain cells to agree at the moment. Time for bed. I hope all have a wonderful day tomorrow. We are having oldest DS bedroom set and our new mattress delivered tomorrow so I am sure I am going to be busy.
Casey
Darius and Molly have such wonderful designs and schemes ... It's all just flowing along so nicely. I would *love* to get my house painted and some pretty beds made. Something tells me there just isn't enough black mail material to get them in south GA. But oh how I'd love to hear things from a woman's point of view. He just sees extra work. I just wish I knew how to turn one part of the yard into a part for me. . When I'm talking flowers ... he's thinking more work for him. I want it to be organized so I can look after it
Y'all are doing such a great job. It really sounds like it's coming together.
Hugs&blessings ... Elaine
Defrocat: I have a friend that drives for UPS here. The problem is they are not allowed to touch an animal in any way. If the dog is threatening they are suppose to go back and report it to UPS. UPS has options at that point, none of which would be of benefit to you in getting any deliveries from UPS. dogs around here go nuts at the UPS truck because of the noise it makes. That is why they sometimes get upset with the driver.
