Popup stopper on links

I clicked on a link in a thread today and my popup stopper would not allow it. I've never had this happen before. I tried other threads with links and got the same thing. Is anyone else having this problem? Any insight why this has just started? Anything to do with the lastest DG changes (I love the changes)? Thank you, Maridell

Sometimes this happens to me in other websites.You may have to temporarily turn-off your pop-up blocker (go to tools). good luck

I use a service to protect my computer. I went in and changed my settings there (allow javascript generated popups) and still blocking. Hmmm.

I can turn the popup stopper off, via my desktop, but I'm not inclined to doing that. I know what it is like to have my computer compromised and it's a real pain. :(

I have the same thing happen occasionally with my popup blocker, but then if I click the link again right away then the window will usually pop up.

Sorry that didn't work for you. I should also say that I've had the sporadic popup blocking happen to me for a long time now and it happens just as frequently now as it ever has, so at least for me it's not linked to the recent changes.

One other way you might be able to get around this--on my computer, if you right-click on a link, it'll bring up a list of things you can do, and if you choose the option "open link in new window" then I think the computer understands that you want the window to open so it opens it normally and doesn't treat it like a popup.

I tried your 2nd suggestion still no luck. However it gave me an idea, I saved the link to favorites and opened it from there. At least it is an option when I really want to check something out.
