The number on the front page of the memberlist is the correct number.

The member "respcare" who signed up at 8:48am (ET) this morning was member #200,000!!

Guess I'd better edit my little DG cards to "Join me and about 200,000 other gardeners..."

Good going!

The number has grown to be a number larger than I can really comprehend. I'm trying to imagine a field of people of 200,000. It's unimaginable.

At 250,000 (1/4 a million) there will be a big celebration.

I love celebrations, will we be invited?

Dallas Cowboys' Texas Stadium seats 65,675 just to give you something for comparison.

Oh my, that's a lot of folks!!!

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Yippee! I'm so happy for DG. That extra 50,000 to make 1/4 million will be here before we know it. :)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Did respcare get any sort of congrats message or prize? Curiosity and cats and all that. LOL

Edited to say: other than the joy of joining us. :)

maggie, just put "Join me and over 200,000 other gardeners" - that way, they'll be good for a while ;o)

Long Island, NY(Zone 6b)

So what's gonna happen to the 250,000th member when they sign-up? Will their screen flash and play loud music?? hmmmmmm, maybe not a good idea-might scare them off!

Moab, UT(Zone 6b)

mg that stadium comparison is a realllly good one.
Made me do a scoobie doo 'hmmh?' !

Maybe we could lease DFW airport runway field. Except _that many people in one place would be rather like other largish gatherings. a bit scarey.

Add my congrats to the rest Dave !

I don't know how many there are, but I watch the new subsciber list and they used to linger on the list for a while, now they just fly through there.
