Due to the recent events I am quite sure that package 2 is not going to get to Lufkin Texas in the few days we would normally expect. I mailed it yesterday (see my post above)and if it did not cross the border before this morning it will most likely sit in someones office for a while.
I apologuise for not getting it in the mail Friday. I hope the delay does not inconvenience anyone too much.
Gwydion / T Patterson

being a total newbie with an very empty yard i have nothing to offer yet...however should anyone have any spare anything they do not want...just to get a newbie going i would love you to pieces if you could shre with us.
we are a homeschool family and i am eager to teach my 4 wee ones about the joys of gardening. also i hope to teach them about plants bugs and nature. if anyone could find it in their heart to share...only seeds or plants you have in excess.... i promies i will return the blessing when we have some seeds and plants ourselves. i thought i could make that apart of the learning as well. the children could learn about sharing and making and keeping a promise to reurn kindness and generosity shown.
thanks and love to all

Please don't worry about the delay Gwydion. As you can see I haven't been here for a few days. I have been busy with subbing at school and then the recent tragedy. But, pkg 1 has arrived (Yesterday, Sept. 14) I am going to wait a few days and see if the other one comes in this week. That way they can kinda be on the same time schedule. If it is not here by Friday I will go ahead and mail this pack 1 on to the second route. I do hope everyone is safe and at least got a little something to enjoy from our pack.

And guess what!!! The post office didn't even cancel "eyes" 3 stamps!!

Yes, this was my first RR to start. And no, I didn't know how many packs of seeds usually go in to start with. I am sorry if I started them with the wrong amount of seeds. I got info from several people on how to start a rr and got several different ideas. And being a new gardener, I didn't have many seeds...so, I sent what I had. I meant no harm in saying that someone didn't play fair. I was informed that you SHOULD tell in the post if something went wrong. I have gotten several emails stating that I was wrong to do this. I apologize for upsetting anyone here. I didn't know the rules with the amount of packages to start a RR with. Yes, I am a new gardener and yes, I would like more seeds but I did not start this RR to end up with more seeds. I just wanted to have a little fun. Again, if I have cause any hard feelings, I apologize to all of you.

I do want to say that I did start each package with either 4-5 packs but again, I didn't know the rule here.

Hi cine! where would one find the rules of r.r.? what is the approximate cost of remailing, and do you take out less than you put in????? I usually have more seed than I have cash,ha,ha,still waiting for my morning glory seed to put out.

dobie, ON(Zone 3a)

tink76627,
The rules of the R&R are usually in the envelope with the R&R. Some of the rules vary with each R&R. You put in one package of seeds for every package of seeds that you take out. If you have extra seeds and want to put them in feel free to do so. When the R&R gets back to the person that started it they take out the number of packages that they put in to start with and then offer the rest of them for a sase to new gardeners. Do join one as they can be fun.

Thank you for all the kind comments. It makes me feel much better. God bless each and every one of you. The packages are going around on their 2nd trip so be looking for them.
Enjoy.

Thanks trailingon:) This maybe something I can do. mailing out in a hurry could be a problem as I have to depend on others to recieve or send mail.,but I can watch the threads to see where it is and estimate its arrival as the rest of you have been doing.(unless I have trouble with "puter")It shouldn't matter as long as I send out box I recieve.A really good way to pass on surplus seed!
