I was just wondering why the Ohio Valley Regional Forum and the Southwest Regional Forum were the only regional forums that aren't open to just subscribers only?? Jo
Regional Forums
Ditto for the Carolinas forum. Basically, any new forum that's been created since we opened "Home Talk" has started out open to non-subscribers as well as subscribers.
All the subscribers-only forums that existed prior to "Home Talk" are still restricted to subscribers.
Thank you for enlightening me, Terry. Jo
I have a question regarding forum etiquette that pertains to this. If the people on a regional forum want to have a get together but few/none are subscribed, should a subscribed member add that to the RU forum for them? I understand the want/need to have other people join/attend but the RU forums have always been private for us and the actual RU's have always been get togethers for acquainted people that want to meet, even though some bring friends and family. It seems like a subscriber is required to take notes from the regional forum and add them to the RU forum. I just saw a thread where this is going on and it sure looked confusing to me. Oh, definately not wanting to make the RU forums public! :) I'm just wondering where the fine line is?
hello, badseed hope you are out there, is there a regional forum for the southeast
im trying to grow many plants not usually seen around here, a regional forum would be good place for me to start asking qustions.
Plants unusual for your area? Hmmm, never heard of such a thing! LOL What are you growing? If you ever want to talk to me specifically, or anyone else, you can click their name to get to their Dmail. :)
Click on the 'garden talk' tab at the top, then scroll to the bottom. That is where you will find the regional forums. I don't see one for southeast gardening. You may want to look and see if you fit into any of the other ones. If not, in your sweetest voice, ask the powers that be, for a new forum. You'll have to have the interest of others in your area or sharing the same conditions.
hmmm where do i start ..
black elephant ears. celosia red plum, in the dedicated bed around the fountain,in the patio bed.
salvia superba in the raised bed#1. asiatic lillys and hybrid tea roses in the driveway bed, yellow trumpet vine on the geenhouse screen, in the main bed HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
[deep breath]..blueboy plhox,foxglove.gloryflower,butterfly bush,red torch lilly.
painted daisy,blue grape hyacinth,butterscotch yellow daffodil,dinnnerplate dahilias,
drumstick allium,yellow/black tulips, alot of gladiolas, gladiator allium,[oooooooooo----so expensive, i bought six bulbs] blooms 10"across,orange crown imperial, persianblue allium.and thats what i can remember in the perennial bulbs, im now just getting the annuals started thease are the juliet marigolds just popping out there second set....arnt they just darling!
Terry, have you guys talked about leaving them that way permanently or at some point making them subscription only? My preference is subscription... but you probably knew that. :-)
bulbhound, what zone are you in? You didn't add it and I don't know what your zip is. I grow many of the same things you grow but I am thinking you are a zone or 2 warmer than I am. Maybe you could use the perennial, bulb and annual forums to get more specific questions answered. And I think you better get that greenhouse finished. :)
