VERY Slow Today Again

Culpeper, VA(Zone 7a)

Logging into Dave's &/or accessing forums & threads is taking between 5-10 minutes. I'm not having problems with any other sites, so don't think it's my computer

Melvindale, MI(Zone 5a)

Taking long here too. Tried a couple of different browsers still taking forever to get on a site.

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

Am I the only one having problems again? Very slow, and the images at the top of the page are missing (in Firefox).

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

Most of yesterday and last evening I couldn't get on at all. About 10 PM last night I finally got in. It worked fine once I was able to access the site though.

(Zone 8b)

I have had a problem this morning too - I'm on Broadband but I just couldn't get Daves to Load.

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

I have had the same problems and I have wondered if anyone else had. I have a super internet connection so it's not a problem on my end. The last few days have been super slow for me. And I have not had a problem with any other sites.

JesseK

We'll get all these bugs ironed out.

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Thanks dave.

JesseK

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

Thanks, Dave. Just glad to know it's not my computer. ;-)

Culpeper, VA(Zone 7a)

Another unbelievably slow day today, along with some periods of no access at all. Ten to 15 minutes to access threads or post posts. This is fast becoming the norm rather than a random occurrence. Again, since it's only happening on DG & not on any of the other forums I belong to, have to place the blame here.

You know, I don't recall any of this stuff happening before DG switched to this new server.

Gamleby, Sweden(Zone 7a)

Dave put the search engine back on again today, and if it bugs up the site.......like it has this evening(for me) he would pull the plug on it and will have it "off" until he fixes the new search engine.

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Very slow for me, as well. :-(

Fair Lawn, NJ(Zone 6b)

Very spotty for me too!!

Savannah, GA(Zone 8b)

also very slow for me. I thought it was my computer, until I tried anothr site. Thanks Dave & Terry for all that you do.
Chris

Dallas, TX(Zone 8a)

Still very slow for me too. I have a fast connection but have waited for over a minute or two for the pages to load. Can this be fixed?

JesseK

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

My travel around the sites are slow only when I'm at the bottom of the thread. But if I return to top and go "back" or forward" I go rapidly.

Culpeper, VA(Zone 7a)

Still really slow here today. In fact, I logged on to DG, took my dog for a 20-minute+ walk, & when I returned, the site was STILL downloading.

I'd think it was just me, but every other site I access comes up immediately with no problems, & a couple of other DG'ers have e-mailed me this morning asking if I've been having the same problems they've been having. So I'm fairly sure it's not just my computer.

This never happened to me before Dave's switched to this new server. Perhaps the new server didn't realize the sheer volume of Dave's Garden - lol!!!

Very slow here too. It takes a long time for any page to load.

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

Very slow here, too, and I have wireless internet from a T1 server.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

It's sporadic - sometimes it's very slow (and the browser times out), but then a few minutes later, it'll be running at normal speed.

BM, I'm not sure it's a new server issue (I'm racking my brain trying to think of when Dave last switched to a new server, but I think it's been a while.)

To be honest, I'm not sure exactly what is causing the problems - I know the site search is a bugaboo right now, and it tends to really clog things up when Dave has tried to put it back online.

I would say keep reporting the problems here, and - if possible - exactly what you were doing (and where: forums, GWD, dmail, PlantFiles, etc.) when you noticed a marked slowdown or got a timeout error.

Acton, CA(Zone 8b)

Wow... today sets a slowness record. Took 5 minutes just to get onto the site, and then about 5 minutes to go from page to page... basically unusable. Will try again later.

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Yep. John is getting upset!!

Central, KY(Zone 6b)

Extremely slow here too, the whole site, not any particular part.

Burlington, NC(Zone 7b)

I just experienced this a few minutes ago while trying to open threads in the Carolina Gardening area.

Swoz

Issaquah, WA(Zone 7a)

I am on a fast cable connection and it's slower than molasses here too: all forums, basically it's click and wait. Twice after a long wait I got the dreaded "cannot find server" page.

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

The whole site is very slow for me, too. I can't imagine what it's like for the people on dial-up.

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

I couldn't even get in for a couple of hours.

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

See this thread: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/572522/

Dave's playing with servers, so hopefully all this will get better very soon! :-)

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Happy birthday, by the way, paulgrow!!

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

I've had a hard time this morning going anywhere here.
Hope this isn't going to last long.
Sidney

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Mines fine. Been on & off twice, both times OK.

Winchester, KY(Zone 6a)

Glad it's not just me. Biggest problem has been posting replies for me-bogs down and takes a while to upload. This morning I tried a few times only to find it went through all three times.

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I've been trying off and on to post........finally got through but til now I'd click on a forum or a watched thread and the screen would come up with a blank page.

Northwest, OH(Zone 5b)

The site is working much better for me at the moment.

Oklahoma City, OK

whew, slow here too, but glad to know is dave's. was sucking air, thot my job had cut me off my lunch hour browzabout. the slow does seem to come n go tho.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I'm having an odd little issue.

When I click on a forum name or a thread, it starts to load, then says it's 'done'. Nothing has moved. I still have the same page displayed as when I started. Sometimes I have to click on the title more than once before it actually loads.

I'm finding this happening on my home page..Garden Talk and Home Talk...and individual threads. It seems to be site wide for me. The only place I haven't seen it is PF...but I was just over there for a moment.

It doesn't happen every time, and at first, I thought to myself..'well, maybe I didn't click on it', but it keeps happening.

No biggie, but thought you'd want to know.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Just back from work.
Clicked on 2 different favorites that had a new post. Both came up something about 404 not found or something.
