search engine offline

Ijamsville, MD(Zone 6b)

This is the message I have been getting for the past couple of days - maybe more? Are others having this problem when they try to do a search on the forums?

I just tried it, and I got the same message, so it's not just you. The system has been having some quirks lately, but Dave is working frantically at them, I'm sure. :)

Still getting this message this AM. . . . fix in the works?. . .

If you use Google to do your search it will show all DG links. I'm sure Dave has taken the search function down since using it was causing the system to come to a crawl.

A fix is in the works but as far as I know, Judy's hunch is correct. The searches were causing the site disruptions and slowdowns a few days ago; until we can get that problem fixed, Google is your best option for searching our forums. If you need help finding something Google hasn't yet indexed, post the details here and I'll *try* to help (but I may not be able to find it either ;o)

Thanks, I knew that. . .just forgot . . . . . need these gentle reminders ;)))

I have a major update to the search engine planned for this coming week. After that, it'll go back online. So, look for it Monday or Tuesday...
