Lambertville, NJ(Zone 6a)

Susan - it's really good to hear from you. Hope you are feeling better soon. Take care of that shoulder and enjoy having DH pamper you.

McCool - I had looked at those greenhouses at Harbour freight. Would you recommend buying one? We got about the same wind as you did up there. I have one of those plasic tent type things that I wanted to try putting up this spring, but not sure how well it will hole up. It was cheap, so not expecting much.

Julie - good to hear from you. Do you do attics? That is on my spring "to do" list. I hate doing it. There are very few times i can comfortably work up there. It's either eally hot, or really cold.

Oz - When you don't know what to cook, take out usually works. LOL

I have laundry to put away. Not sure if I will get back here. If I don't, everyone have a good night.

I'm pooped.....Good night Gracie...

Pleasureville, KY(Zone 6a)

Good evening all. I have had a busy day, and am dead tired. Twin sister and I went to mom's this morning, and washed 2 rooms of paneling, and then started to paint. We are covering the dark paneling. So finished 1st coat by noon, ate lunch, I made homemade vegetable soup, and a ham sandwich, and back to work. By 3:00 we had put on the second coat, and had everything moved back into place. Next week when sis comes, we will put up a border in the living room and paint the bedroom. Then at a later date, we will paper the kitchen. She was a good supervisor. Sat right in her chair and watched. Started pointing out spots missed, etc. I told her that for the day the pointing fingers would be removed!! Quited her down in a hurry.

Jasmeer, I think everybody is having weird weather. Day before yesterday was 60, then rained temps dropped and we had 3" of snow this morning.

Sarv. Naps are good, doesn't make any difference if it is a.m.or p.m. I am getting the seed/planting bug too. Look at web sites, and catalogues, and want some of everything. I take Allegra D for allergies. And yes, try each vitamin one at a time, you would be surprised what a recation some can cause.

Happy, I get the "I'm not asleep" reply all the time. I ask, then what was the noise I am hearing, it sounded like snoring to me. Okay, took the job. I would work as much/little as suited me. And do wash those whites, we want you presentable.

Maria, Sampson exiled because of the mud. Mr. B. comes in in rainy/snowy weather, and stands patiently for me to wipe his feet. Such a good boy.

Meezer, Glad Souky is feeling better. My fur kids pout at me, when I have to give the meds. I am sure that she was disappointed to find Sammi in the bed last night. I bet she felt she deserved to be there. How did your Dr. appointment go?

GG. I think the susan everybody is asking about is Morningayle. Haven't heard from her yet.

Susieq. From 15-59-30, what a wild swing in temps. And BTW, if you find anybody who does attics, let me know, I know that there is a monster who lives in mine.

McCool, I was glad to hear that the tree didn't come down. But oh, chasing green house panels, I bet that was fun. And the sign coming down, if it didn't hold with that cable, I don't know what else you would use. Those roasted veggies sound delicious.

Woodspirit, Haven't visited that forum you speak of, I can't afford to get another addiction, just don't have time.

101 I don't think the temps were low enough to do damage to the thyme. And for heaven's sake, give that canna a blanket. The DH is the same, I'm not tired, not ready to go to bed, but sits and sleeps in front of the tv.

Ozarkian, I would recommend take out or a good restaurant. Can you really be trusted in a kitchen?

Kittymom, Hi!! I hope that you begin to heal fast. Thanks for letting us know how you are.

Okus, sounds like the drain was a real chore. And you fell in the trench? Glad it is only bruises that you have. We have a standing water problem in front of our garage, We need to install something like that there. Is it a complicated job?

Julie, glad to hear from you. Just check in from time to time and let us know what is going on with you. I understand a clean basement takes time.

Now for an update of family health matters. DH went back to chiropractor today. Was able to get in bed, and out of bed by himself today, so he is improving. He doesn't do much bending or stooping yet. DMIL is being released from the rehab hospital next Tuesday. DH went to visit her today, and said that she looked much better. My DM's cold is better, and her bruised/fractured tail bone are better too.

Mr. B. went with me to Mom's today, and he was good and slept the morning away. But he is a homebody, and by 2:00 was begging to go home. Since he has been home, he is sleeping and sighing every now and then, evidently he had a hard day too. I go every afternoon about 3:00 to get mom's paper, and as he loves to ride, I take him with me. He jumps out of the car, lifts his leg on her front porch post, and goes in jumps in mom's lap, kisses her, and is ready to go home. If I have to stay a few minutes, he begins to "fuss" at me. He knows when I say that we are going to "grandmother's" and he gets really excited.

Well, this post has been too long, and I am going to go to bed, as the body says it's time. I will probably have aches and pains in places I didn't know existed tomorrow morning from climbing up and down the ladder today.

Everybody sleep well, and awake refreshed.

Good night.

Memphis, TN(Zone 7b)

Hello! Remember me? I'm still around (literally!). Just checking in to say hi and to say I'm still alive. Will be going soon for a sleep study - may have apnea. Which may be why I'm exhausted all the time -and has been getting worse. But - I keep all of you in my thoughts and wish I had more energy to spend here.

Later!

Nity Nite All,

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

trying to catch up from the last couple of days -

M5 - I was really sorry to hear about the kitty and the computer on Monday. And Sammi sounds like a delightful handful.
How did your Dr apt. go for your shoulder?

There's a thread in Hostas about Susan's surgery. She's posted a couple of times briefly. Oh, I see from Kelly that's she's posted even more in pets.

As I keep reading, I've now come on the post from Susan herself. Glad your DH is there to help you out and I bet it feels good to get your hair washed.

orchidfancy - the ginger preserve sure does sound good. Just wonder whether you also grow your own ginger.

Kelly, I can relate a bit to when your customers cancel. It's a bit like being a music teacher. I find it a toss -up as to whether I'd prefer the time or the money sometimes. I'm much more flexible now since I only have a handful of students although they are supposed to give me 24 hrs notice.

defoecat - glad to hear there is improvement in DH's back. Did the chiro help?

mornin_gayle - your Lithotripsy doesn't sound like much fund but hope it was better than the spell check would have you think.

darius - it looks as though the construction is going well.

McCool - with all the lost posts, yours included, I think this one gets pasted into WordPerfect almost immediately. Sure wouldn't want to try to catch up again.

Happy_1 - what's involved with teaching at the culinary arts program? It sounds interesting.

Julie - good to hear from you. And I bet that cleaned out basement makes you feel good. ;-)

OK the last post when I broke my Internet connection was Happy saying good night at 8:18 pm. Now I didn't get home from my board meeting until about 9; so there must have been a gap in posts. but I'm going to have to call it quits at that point and finish on the catch-up tomorrow.

Good night all.

Ann

Central, WI(Zone 4a)

Ann,
Yes, it is a toss up,,,I like the time for myself but I hate the loss of the income. Like you said, you know how it goes.

How was the concert last night? Oh how I'd love to come over there and hear you all play one time.

Well, falling asleep here so Night Gracie.

Bloomingdale, OH(Zone 6a)

Hi Gobs and 'Ettes,

I'm doing much better now, lol. I just woke up after a long winter's nap. Seriously, they gave me nice drugs and I came home and passed out on the couch, it was wonderful! The Doc said the stone is pulverized into little bitty pieces smaller than grains of sand, so I should have no problems after this. I'm holding him to that, lol.

Thanks for being concerned, makes me feel warm fuzzies inside!

mg

Rehoboth, MA(Zone 5a)

Though only by a few minutes, it is morning here, mg, glad to hear you are feeling better ,wishing you with lots of hugs to keep getting better each day

Hi MG so glad to see that you're on the mend and feeling better. It's always better when it's over and we're back home. *smile*

Ann, I'm with Kelly ... sure wish we could run over and listen to y'all play one night. Now wouldn't that be a real treat? Too bad y'all don't sell CD's.

Defoe, glad to hear your DH is feeling better tonight and your MIL and DM are both on the mend, also.

M5 here's hoping all is well in kitty land. :) Sending hugs your way.

Well, tomorrow the DH is having a heart stress test, so if you will please say a prayer for him. I know there's nothing to it ... but would appreciate it if you'd remember him just the same.
Well, off to bed. nighty night ... Elaine

Merrimac, WI(Zone 4b)

Gayle,

I'm glad you're doing better. Take care.

Marcia, my brother-in-law was having similar problems to you. He was tested for sleep apnea and they found he would go as long as a full minute without breathing when he slept. Of course, he'd wake up gasping for air and that went on all night. No wonder he was so tired and sleepy all the time. My spousal unit went to see his sister one day and this b-i-l was napping in his recliner. He snored so loudly that no one could hear anyone else in the room talk. In fact, he snored louder that my spousal unit thought anyone possibly could.
They gave him a special headgear that cured the problem. Now he is full of energy, sleeps the night through and is not cat-napping nor snoring off and on all day.
He also had to have one of the arteries in his neck cleaned out and he thinks much more clearly now, too.
