New Regional Forums.. time to consider???

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

Because I live in TN two that come to mind are "Mid-South" which consists of West TN and the upper parts of MS & AL, also Deep South which I suppose would be the lower part of the Gulf States. I will be glad to do the research if you are interested in moving in this direction.

Hi Judy, I just subscribed recently, but I do like the idea of some sort of southern or regional type forum. It would be nice to share what works and what doesn't with other gardeners relatively close to us. I know from past mistakes I've seen some incredible plants in northern gardens, tried to grow them here and by June 1 they were toast. On the other hand, alot of things grow so well here that won't make it in really cold or dry places. Just saying I like this idea alot, if there is enough interest.

Sterling, VA(Zone 6b)

I like Dave's Garden, but I have to say that I love the regional forums over at GardenWeb. With the purchase by iVillage, there seems to be a lot of disgruntled GardenWeb members that are calling Dave's Garden home. I personally would love a Virginia or Mid Atlantic regional forum...if there is enough traffic to make it a useful forum.

Brent, I agree with you. There is a process to follow if you are strongly interested in your idea. Here's a template that has borne fruit.

You have to become a bit of a politician (launching a campaign, as such, as well as your own specifically titled thread) but it gives you an excuse to burrow around into forums, etc. that you may not ever have bothered to peruse here at DG.

How did the BM arrowwood recover? Hope the rest of your garden is thriving.

I would be interested in a forum for the Northeast.

We are ready to make regional forums for any group of individuals.

For regionals, I'd really like to know there'd be at least 10 people who would use them.

To propose a forum, please start a new thread in this forum, with your proposal.
