Odd thread watch occurence

After I've read my 'watched thread' updates I click on the DG at the bottom of the screen
and am returned to Home, with the read thread erased. Today the list of watched threads
in the heading doesn't erase. Happens on both Fire Fox and Safari. How-come ?

It's probably related to some other oddities we've been dealing with today - I'm really sorry, but I know Dave will get things straightened out ASAP!
