How many forums are you subscribed to?

Just curious: with all the new forums have you added new ones, deleted old ones? Finding it hard to take everything in? I am getting no housework done today. [Thanks Dave!]

I have added several new ones and deleted a bunch of forums that I never visited that much anyway. I have to admit on the first day of the changes, I went thru checking EVERYTHING- LOL! Yesterday after some contemplation, I went back thu and marked quite a few off. I mean I don't even sew or quilt for goodness sakes! I think at the moment I am watching 73 forums out of 159. I feel like I am missing so much!

I'm watching only 22. Some new were added and a couple old are gone.
I used to go down the Forums page to see if anything was added to a 'marginal' interest forum. Now I can't do that, some adjusting is going on here.

I've got 19 listed as watching...mostly gardening forums. I'm not a great chit-chat person it seems. Pretty simple here.

I have 41 listed and had none before the change. But I am sureI will be adding even more the closer to summer we get. I may not post an every forum but I sure read them all.

I'm watching 60, but I keep changing things in and out, too. It is SO much fun! After Dave finishes his "more hours in the day" patch, he needs to make a button that we can push to do our housework and weeding and laundry, etc, so I can keep up with all 60 of them! (Hmmm... well, maybe that wouldn't be such a good idea... maybe.... LOL)

You know, I don't have any of them selected. When I'm at the computer & have the time, I just peruse all of them. Sometimes a category that normally wouldn't interest me has a question that I can answer or something that really piques my interest.

... Hmmmmm ...

Just 'maybe' the lil # of my 'watched' threads are the source of my current problems .. LoL .. Naw, no way!!

I am watching only 16 forums, but they keep me plenty busy! As for threads I am watching?.....well, let's just say it's in the 4 digit numbers. LOL How can I unwatch a thread? I mean sometime, somewhere, there might be someone who posts to that thread again and I will NEED to see that post! LOL

I did a lot of shuffling around of the forums I am watching and then added just a few of the new ones. I think my favorite of the new ones will be Clean And Clutter Free. It has actually cut into my DG time in a good way because it has inspired me to go through some things and get rid of a bunch of stuff. :-D

And now I have just added another thread to that 4 digit number! LOL

I checked and I am subscribed to about 50 forums and am watching 643 threads (which I should clean up since most are moribund). A good new year task.

But, I confess I am feeling a little lonely on DG because I think much discussion has moved to the regional forums....(and I am sour grapes about it since we don't have one!!)

Also I have noticed lots of new posters. Or is it my imagination? It's always nice to have new 'voices' among the regular posters, and it seems like there are more than usual, doesn't it?

I am catching on to the new format but I miss the list of forum posting counts, or is that here and I am not seeing it? I suppose with the increased number of forums and threads, the posting count per thread (amount of discussion on each topic/question) has been naturally reduced...or not, anyway, something to wonder about...seems like it to me...

Have a great day. I am looking at the seed catalogs and watching football with DG today. And checking out DG. (of course) Lovely and sunny here and getting my gardening itch going... t.

And did you notice that yesterday African Violets had 162 posts and, for instance, Iris had only 2?

Definitely a shifting of interests there...

Now I'm going to clean up my threads! t.

....more like a change of seasons, me thinks, just a few more months, spring WILL return and the irises will be blooming again.... :)

I'm subscribed to a whopping 7 forums, and that's all I can keep up with on a regular basis! ; )

I've pared down some more- now to 46! I'm not having too bad withdrawals yet......

Well, this is a little embarassing. I'm watching 125 forums and 3453 threads.

Plus, when we got all the new forums, I rearranged my priorities with the old ones to add some of the new ones. I'm actually watching less forums now than I was before.

yes, I think there have been techno glitches all week! It's taking forever to load and everywhere there are double and triple postings...ah, well...they will work it out! Patience is a virtue that is being tested today!

And BTW haven't you noticed I'm trying to be very 'open' and 'positive' about the changes-- especially now that I've found the forum count page and I can see what forums have activity! :-)

And I'm just avoiding the new 'Home' forums. Way too constructive for me. Did you notice they changed the "Dirt Cheap" forum to "Frugal Living"!!! Not really the same thing!!

I'm longing for new summer Iris pictures! t.
